Fantastic experience: Fabulous service by Dr Cooper and Dr Lu and every staff member involved in my surgery yesterday. Professional, friendly, thorough and supportive of my high anxiety about all things dental. I felt confident and well cared for, fully informed and totally safe. I can highly recommend this centre in every respect.

Fantastic experience: My experience at the Canberra surgicenter with Dr Micheal cooper, and anaesthesiologist Dr Grant Devine was by far the most comforting medical/ dental experience I’ve had. I have an extremely needle phobia, and the whole team treated with me such respect and understanding. I was crying as I walked into my appointment out of fear, but the staff did everything they could to reassure me and make the experience as painless as possible. They gave me two Elma numbing patches as soon as I walked in the door, one on my hand and one on my elbow. The consultation with the nurses, Dr Cooper and Dr Devine were detailed and comforting, with all parties ensuring me that I was in safe hands. All the pre- op and past medical information was triple checked to ensure everything was set for the surgery. As I went into the theatre, I was shaking and crying. Dr Devine assured me that with in 1 minute of walking into the room I’d be asleep and it would be over, and he was right. From the numbing patch to his demeanour and technique of distracting me, the IV insertion was absolutely painless, I honestly had no idea he had even put in the IV, as the nurses and Dr’s continued talking to me until I fell peacefully asleep. Even with my very small mouth, Dr cooper was able to perform this procedure perfectly, and so far my recovery has been extremely smooth. I’ve had essentially no pain at all in my recovery and only some slight discomfort, which is to be expected. The post care instructions are clear and have helped so much with making me comfortable after the surgery. I cannot recommend the Canberra surgicenter highly enough and I’m so grateful to the entire team for how they treated me during my time there. They turned what for me is usually an extremely terrifying and traumatic experience, into something that will help me into the future with facing my fears and helped me to get the treatment I needed in a way that made me feel seen and comfortable.

Fantastic experience: I had all four wisdom teeth extracted a week ago by Dr Cooper, it was a fantastic pre and post op experience with very little pain during recovery period due to meticulous work done during surgery. The level of care shown by Dr Cooper and his team to ensure my comfort before and after surgery (including the day after) was phenomenal and I am very grateful to have had the procedure done and no longer experiencing pain or discomfort. Big thank you to Dr Cooper and all the staff at Canberra Surgicentre, I would absolutely recommend this practice to anyone in need of maxillofacial procedures in Canberra.

Negative experience: EXPENSIVE! The whole cost is way too much for removing one wisdom tooth, $2270 in total($790 Surgeon+ $1280 hospital+ $200 Anaesthetist), while I go to another doctor dentist Integrated Dental in Canberra city which only costs me $600. And I only did local anaesthesia in Integrated Dental with a Chinese doctor and she finished operation in 30mins, while CanberraSurgicentre only gave a bigger and expensive plan of full general anaesthesia, which is a bigger job and not good for body and recovery. Integrated Dental doesn’t charge Hospital Accommodation Fee as well, while Canberra Surgicentre charges $1280 or $500 if you are lucky with 12 months Bupa. Canberra Surgicentre is making a lucrative and greedy business without so much skill. This is a very simple operation(removing tooth). In Shanghai it only costs $200 AUD, and a fair price should be less than $800 AUD in Australia in any case.

Positive experience: Really nice surgeons. But big on the money and not cheap If you don't have health insurance. The wisdom teeth surgery went really well. Hardly any swelling or pain.

Negative experience: I contacted the center a few days after my referral, and they informed me of a technical issue, promising to call me back. I ended up getting my tooth removed elsewhere, yet they still kept calling me afterward. It was an awful experience—definitely recommend looking for better options elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I had my wisdom teeth removed under the care of Dr Michael Cooper and his team yesterday. Every interaction I had was amazing. The staff were so caring and did everything in the power to make me feel comfortable and at ease with the situation. I couldn't recommend anyone more highly. Dr Michael Cooper and his team were amazing.

Fantastic experience: I couldn't have asked for more from Dr. Cooper and his team. I originally went to my dentist with a tooth ache, and 3 dentists later, I landed at Dr. Cooper's office. He went above and beyond to help find out what was actually wrong, and then fix it. For the record - it was a wisdom tooth still below the gum, with a cavity in it, that was only found eventually by CT scan. Not via X-Ray. So painful! It was Dr. Cooper's detailed, timely referral for the scan that found the problem, and then his surgical skills (in the same week) that fixed it. The follow up and post surgery care was excellent. I've never experienced dental pain like this little saga produced. But I always felt like I was in highly competent hands as the jounery played out. I felt Dr. Cooper had a caring dad type vibe to him. Not to mention a skillset that identified the source of my pain, and then provided the fix. Dr. Cooper I hope I never have to visit your office again. But I am so grateful you were there!

Fantastic experience: I had the most amazing experience at the Canberra Surgicentre as I had gone there originally as a patient to get my wisdom teeth extracted. The staff including Dr Cooper, Steve, Ray, Jamie and all the nurses were extremely kind and inviting making it an incredible experience. The procedure went super successful and this inspired to return to the Surgicentre where I completed some work experience as I enjoyed so much working with these wonderful people and learnt so much. I definitely recommend going to Canberra Surgicentre whether it is for your dental care or to pursue an interest in the dentistry/surgeon area. 10/10 amazing experience!

Fantastic experience: I had a delicate molar tooth extraction under the care of Dr Michael Cooper yesterday. Flawless experience. All the staff were highly professional and friendly. Dr Cooper did a superb job that went off perfectly despite the risks . No doubt a reflection of his vast training and experience over many years. And I didn’t feel a thing . I’d recommend Dr Cooper for any maxillofacial procedures in a flash especially ones that could be considered difficult.

Fantastic experience: 5 years ago next week I had some urgent dental surgery, Dr Cooper looked after me with the utmost care, a week after surgery Dr Cooper was cautious re my surgery results, ordered a blood test, that night I was in hospital being treated for the next 6 months for Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (blood cancer). If it were not for Dr Cooper, simply put I would not have survived. Thankyou

Fantastic experience: Surgery to remove a wisdom tooth was quick and very gentle, and all the staff were kind and friendly. The care instructions were clear and detailed, and the team checked in on my recovery a few times. I was very happy with how easy and well-organised the whole process was.

Fantastic experience: Very fast professional service despite delays. The tiny plastic ducks around the facility were cute. Dr Cooper and Devine were excellent, as were the other supporting medical staff. Ray made the whole process post-op very calming and reassuring. The first nurse was a little scary and it felt like I was at school again, but the scary teachers are always the best ones so 11/10

Fantastic experience: I was referred to the Surgicentre after a dentist found that I had impacted and infected wisdom teeth. The experience at the Surgicentre from start to finish was exceptional, Dr Cooper was able to fit me in as an urgent case, and the extraction was carried out soon after. All healed up quickly, great work done to fix some very wayward teeth! Would recommend the practice to any of my friends or family, the level of care is outstanding!

Fantastic experience: I was a a little nervous about having surgery for the first time but I didn’t need to worry at all. The staff were super nice and gave me top quality care and attention. Positive experience: I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr Cooper a few weeks ago. The Surgeon, anesthetist and nurses were fantastic, accommodating, extremely on the ball and patient. However, the way that the receptionist handled the referrals and x-rays that are received at the surgicentre was so poor that it made the experience extremely frustrating and stressful until I made it into the room. There were multiple phone calls had between my dentist and myself that day as the receptionist had told me that the updated referral hadn't been sent through and my dentist had sent it through multiple times including once that same day I do have to reiterate that the surgical team were awesome, thankyou.

Fantastic experience: Great, seamless professional experience with Dr Cooper, Dr Davies (Anaesthetist) and the Surgicentre team from the start to end of the tooth extraction. Procedure has been explained well at consultation and again before surgery. Received a follow up call the day after surgery from staff to check in if all post-operative instructions are followed, if I take my antibiotics and my overall wellness. Would highly recommend Canberra Surgicentre Braddon.

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience getting all of my wisdom teeth out. The nurses and anaesthetist were lovely and handled my anxiety very well. I was absolutely terrified but Dr Hammons did an amazing job. Thanks so much guys.

Negative experience: I had an appointment booked at 5pm and they called and had it changed to 3:40pm… I arrived and the receptionist were short and demanding. I waited and it was 4:10pm and I asked how long the wait is and then they told me “he’s in theatre, so no idea, you’ll just have to be patient” I then told them why would you change my original appointment when I probably will be waiting here until 5pm… this service was seriously frustrating especially during work hours. I would recommend you go somewhere different.

Fantastic experience: My wife had a surgical extraction last Friday performed by Dr Michael Cooper. Dianne was very impressed with the attention she received and would recommend your services.

Negative experience: Poor service, terrible bedside manner, confusing ineficent process. Will give you the run around and charge you as many times as possible before helping you (yay private health care) Do not recomend.

Negative experience: Terrible service and total lack of communication from reception staff. I had an appointment today at 3:15pm for a check appoint that involved a scan aswell, and upon arrival at 3:10pm I was told that I would not be seen AT ALL today because I didn’t come at 3pm for the scan however, the confirmation messages said 3:15pm for the appointment. At no time during my multiple phone calls with the clinic did the receptionists mention that I had to arrive at 3pm for my appointment when it was BOOKED FOR 3:15pm. On top of that I booked my appointment 3 weeks in advance and at no point did they tell me that I would require a new referral letter until the night before my appointment when I received the confirmation text, so I had to call around Canberra to get in with a dentist to get my referral in the morning, Just for Dr Michael Cooper to not even see me. Absolutely appalled in their customer service and will not be having my review done there ever again! Instead I’m booking with smile sensations (who have amazing service)

Negative experience: Quick to Cancell appointments after months of waiting, not once but twice after rearranging for previous cancelled appointment. Less then 2hrs notice stating "your appointment has been cancelled again you need to rebook!". To save your self time and to stop being stuffed around, its highly recommended that one looks elsewhere. The reception staff needs retraining under "how to not yell into the phone at customers". Over the years, this place was average and now its a complete joke who don't care one way or the other! Do not recommend, Look elsewhere!

Positive experience: Went in for a consultation for the removal of 2 impacted wisdom teeth and the specialist was very understanding of my agony, and provided me with emergency extraction (and so much relief after a week of excruciating pain and disappointing experiences with other dentists) on the same day! The dental assistant (I regretfully forget her name) was also incredible! So caring and knowledgeable. And both were very friendly and made the experience as comfortable as possible. A bit of time in the waiting room after my schedule appointment time waiting to go in, but where don't you experience that? Seriously very grateful for the relief and understanding they provided.

Fantastic experience: Consultation was quick, I wanted to take only 1 out but paperwork came out as 3 on the day of surgery. Confused but decided to do them all. Dr Hammans did my surgery and I am so thankful. Nurses gave me a blanket to keep me warm when I was on the operation chair/table, aww so thoughtful. No swelling, no pain, I did not take any pain killer pill for the whole recovery stage. Ask for or buy curved tip syringe so you can clean the hole
