Fantastic experience: I've never been fond of dentists and after a couple of horrible experiences it put me off for years but I knew I needed a couple of crowns. Dr Shisaz was amazing! From the first time we met, he made me feel at ease. I had my first crown this week and I didn't even gag! He and his staff are brilliant

Fantastic experience: Let me start by saying I have seen a lot of Dentists in my time, but I have never met one as good as Pierre. The care and dedication he puts into his work is beyond words, he takes the time to make sure that I understand any procedure and that every step is done thoroughly and with the utmost care. For this I am grateful for his service and believe it or not actually look forward to my appointments.

Fantastic experience: I left the below review 5 years ago. Now, in Feb 2023, Dr. Shizas, has helped my elderly mother, aged 79, to get a new lease on life by fixing her teeth which seemed like a hopeless case, into a 'work of art'. Now my mum can chew her food with a sense of pleasure, and when she smiles, she is no longer afraid and embarrassed about her teeth. THANK YOU Dr. Shizas, you are a supreme dentist and also a genuine artist. Original Review: Dr. Arthur Shizas is a genuinely great dentist. He has helped me as a patient by explaining his procedures in a language I can understand. He has saved one of my teeth, (which 3 other dentists and a specialist endodontist wrote off as hopeless), but Dr. Shizas has managed to delay the extraction, and stop the pain. He said the tooth may still need to come out in the future (but so far so good! :))). He also whitened another damaged tooth I had from the inside. He is a doctor that listens to his patient, and uses his experience and knowledge of dentistry to genuinely help. In my opinion he is a world class dentist. I am so glad he is in the Eastern Suburbs of Adelaide, in South Australia. Further update in August 2024, now, the East Adelaide Dental Studio has the facility to create a ‘crown’ in-house. This is an added bonus. Dr. Pierre created the perfect crown for my lower left back tooth. I am most grateful once again.

Fantastic experience: Initial contact was for emergency repairs to a broken tooth which they accommodated the next day when my dentist at the time offered an appointment no earlier than 3 weeks. Followed by a course of treatment to repair/restore old British dental work on molars including crowns - typically I'm very wary of dentists, but trust Dr Pierre Khieu and East Adelaide Dental Studio, and no longer worry about having work done. Options and costs very clearly explained and treatment oprions recommended without pressure. Work completed to a very high standard and exceptional levels of attention to detail and finishing. Staff all very friendly and easygoing. Would recommend them without reservation.

Fantastic experience: I can't thank the team at East Adelaide Dental Studio enough. From the lovely people at the front desk to the dentist Pierre, my unavoidable emergency trip to the dentist on my birthday was better than I thought it would be. Pierre was very caring, incredibly good at explaining my painful tooth situation and gave great clarity when presenting me with my options. My birthday root canal was no where near as bad as I thought it was going to be and I'm actually not worried about the next visits to finish the process. The dentist isn't that bad after all!

Fantastic experience: After my dentist of 30-odd years retired earlier this year, I dreaded the thought of finding another dentist, but I knew that putting off that decision would only cause more problems later. I decided to do some research online, and I also visited several local dentists, but the practice that stood out for me was the East Adelaide Dental Studio. All of the staff were very friendly to each other and their patients, and I found them very welcoming. It's lovely walking into an environment where you can discuss any concerns with your dentist and hygienist, and I'd recommend them to anyone searching for a new dental practice.

Fantastic experience: Dr Pierre Kieu gave my teeth better attention than any dentist I have ever had! He cleaned so thoroughly my teeth felt and looked amazing afterwards. Also picked up on a tooth from my X-ray that my other dentist didn't even know I had. Have since got my wisdom teeth removed and for the first time am looking forward to my next dental appointment :).

Fantastic experience: 5 stars excellent , can only recommend. In the past months, I had some major dental work done at East Adelaide Dental. Originally, I came to Dr. Arthur with an infection in my jaw due to a tooth issue and his expertise prevented me from an almost guaranteed hospital stay. After that, I ended up getting all the actual work done by the other dentist, Dr. Pierre, and his extensive experience really shows in his work. I had some fillings and 2 wisdom tooth extractions, one of which was easy and super quick (I was out the chair within 20 min). The second one was complicated and despite the difficult situation, Pierre did an excellent job to ensure that the wound site was taken care of and all the pieces of tooth were extracted. During the whole process, I felt very much taken care of and he constantly ensured that I was feeling as well as possible. You can really tell that he is very caring and incredibly proficient in what he does. My wife who had a traumatic experience with a previous dentist ended up getting some work done from Pierre as I highly recommended him and she was very satisfied with the experience. We are planning on going back regularly as we feel that we finally found a dentist we can trust and feel safe around.

Negative experience: It is not very good experience, my tooth was decay and I went to East Adelaide Dental Studio, the young dentist treated my tooth, he drilled a small hole in first time and blocked it, a few months later, the filling material was lost, I went back Adelaide form WA and see the young dentist again, he was talking with girl (that was not about my treatment) and meanwhile he was drilling a big hole in my tooth, a few months later, the filling material was lost again, I have to stop my trip and came back Adelaide again, and ask to book with senior dentist, he filled the hole 6 months ago in this year, but I PAID three time for one tooth's problem, it was about $1000, finally my tooth was broken now as they make three time treatment for a small problem,they can't finished well, this is the very painful experience for my time and my body. I will never come back again, thank you very much for you poor skill...

Positive experience: Had my wisdom tooth pulled out at EADS by Dr Shizas for what was a surprise procedure given that the tooth extraction itself took less than 10 seconds. He explained exactly what the procedure would look like and helped calm the nerves especially with the needle part. Overall, a positive experience. Thanks too to the front office staff who went above and beyond. I am hoping to go back, but not for a tooth extraction. Hopefully.

From the Admin staff - through to the Dentists everyone is a pleasure to deal with. Fantastic experience: I broke my front tooth Over the Easter weekend and was quite upset about it. I spoke to a lovely Dentist called Arthur whom put my mind at ease, gave me fantastic advice and then Dr Arthur fixed my tooth a few days later when I was able to get to the dentist. The reception staff are lovely too and even though I am not a huge fan of going to the dentist, it was a great experience. I highly recommend East Adelaide Dental and will be returning myself in the future.

We have regular dental check ups, 6 monthly cleans and the odd dental emergency - think broken crowns. We had been looking for a dentist who was well versed in modern dentistry, and whose team were professional, yet friendly, kind and courteous. Fantastic experience: Booked in for an emergency root canal whilst travelling from Victoria. Arthur saw me that afternoon and was friendly, sorting out my very painful infection quickly. Fantastic experience: I have been going to East Adelaide for years, Dr Pierre Kanu has looked after me for a couple of major treatments, not only is he a really lovely person he treats his assistants like gold, I’ve had fillings in the past and had to go back several times for it to be adjusted., I have no issues at all since going to East Adelaide Dental Studio Dr Pierre has redone two old fillings in the last couple of year’s never have I have to go back for an adjustment they have been perfect, Pierre’s attention to detail is second to none and his pain management is right on, I never use to go to the dentist now I skip there every six months for a clean and check up as does my husband, who like myself was petrified of dentists, if you want to be looked after your teeth with pain free dentistry book with East Adelaide Dental Studio, Book with Pierre or Arthor they specialise in dentistry & pain free at that !

Fantastic experience: Well known reputable senior dentist Arthur Shiraz practices here and over sees more junior dentist practitioners. I am “bulk billed” using my health fund as this practice is one of the “preferred providers” of my health fund. My previous dentist is not a preferred provider so my rebate was very small. My first consult here was very thorough. Pierre explained clearly what was happening and this put me at ease.

Negative experience: Joke.. book 4 weeks prior to get a tooth fixed that was broken and hurting, get a call from clinic that day to confirm and NO ONE let me know X-ray was not working so a waste of time me coming in, closing my business early and loosing money when I could have organised to go somewhere else!

Fantastic experience: I came as an emergency 20 minutes before closing time to the dentist. He was the only one, (after calling many) who agreed to see me the same day, because I was in so much pain. I'm from Germany and was on a road trip along the Great Ocean Road when my wisdom tooth decided to become a problem. The day before I had already gone to a hospital but they couldn't figure out the problem with my throat. Everything hurt and I already had antibiotics and took pain killers every 4 hours. Yet I couldn't even open my mouth enough for a straw to drink from. I'm very much afraid when it comes to my teeth but Dr. P Kieu was just awesome. He was friendly, reassuring and super professional. He took the time for diagnostics and made sure I was under no pain for the treatment of my troublemaker. Even when I needed more anastetic for the pain relief and he had just limited access to the infected area, he stayed calm, positive and patient. I can't describe in words, how much I thank him. I was never so happy after a dental visit. The next day already I could swallow without pain and it took less than a week to fully recover. Thank you thank you thank you. You were my hero that day! And the day after. I highly recommend this team. I wish I had a dental studio like this in Germany.

Fantastic experience: I always go into a dentist very nervous due to past experience. But Arthur and his staff put you at ease right away. I've never described a dental visit as pleasurable, but that's how I would describe my visit to East Adelaide dental. Very caring and professional Arthur explained every part of my procedure in detail, so I understood what he was going to do. They always had my well being as their formost concern. I had a very bad tooth infection and was in considerable pain. Arthur had that sorted within minutes and my whole experience lasted about 20 minutes. Price was more than reasonable. I cannot recommend Arthur and East Adelaide dental enough. They even called me the next day to see how I was. This practice and it's staff rate way higher than 5 stars. Thanks and hope this helps.
