My Dentist on The Parade

Fantastic experience: First visit and I can say I am very happy. The team really do take care of you. Great communication and customer service. I had to get scans done and I had my baby with me, the lovely girls entertained my baby for some time until I was done. Will be coming back for sure!

Negative experience: Unfortunately what was previously a top practice is now a shambles. The dental care may be OK when you get it but after 2 appointments at which I expected to have a filling repaired I am now looking for another dentist

Positive experience: Appointments were late. Good female Dentist. Receptionist very good at job.

Negative experience: Sadly Tim has retired and the practice is not the same without him. I have had excellent treatment over many years with Tim and his team, such that I convinced my son and husband to be treated by Tim also. The new team do not meet the standards we have come to expect. We have had impersonal treatment with nothing explained, several wrong charges made which impacted my health cover and long standing appointments cancelled at short notice. We are now looking for a new dentist.

Negative experience: the worst dentist I have had to deal with, to flee. I went there to have my implant reattached, which I know inside out. The dentist didn't even take the time to test the position of the tooth, put it back together in the wrong position and wanted to file my teeth. My tooth was badly glued, I now have to find another dentist to do a proper job.

Fantastic experience: Dr Renu Karn has turned my appointment into a warm, welcoming and pleasant experience. She is exceptionally good at what she does, has a caring nature and takes the time to go through everything with you in detail. To be honest, I don't think I've had a better experience at a dental practice than this. Dr Tim Folwell is also very good from a previous visit. What I like about him is that he has small, nimble hands. Erin Graves is probably one of the best dental hygienist out there. I highly recommend their work.

I recently had a crown put on one of my upper molars and Dr Tim Folwell did this with skill and precision and without causing any discomfort. Dr Folwell is certainly the jewel in the crown. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend My Dentist on the Parade.... I experienced a very friendly atmosphere between staff and dentist towards me.... A thorough assessment of my whole mouth was taken and then I sat down with my dentist in front of a computer screen and was shown what needed to be done, A comprehensive written assessment follows..... At no stage do you feel pressured into anything. This out fit is very professional, good work.

Fantastic experience: Excellent dental care. I was fully briefed on all my options which were discussed with Tim up front before any treatment was started. It was planned around my ability to pay and we set out a treatment plan over 4-6 months. I was involved in all discussions as it related to what I wanted my smile to look like and a good maintenance plan with Erin to keep my mouth in this condition for years to come. Great team.

Fantastic experience: Update April 2021: I believe I wrote after my first visit that the service at My Dentist was so fantastic I couldn't fault a thing, and everyone/ everything there more than deserved five stars. Well, make that ten! I had a cleaning scheduled and decided to ride my new (old) bike there, then promptly stacked it, spectacularly, just after letting Zara know I was sorry but I'd be running a few minutes late. By the time I'd reassured all concerned onlookers I was fine and walked my bike the rest of the way (the chain had come loose and I couldn't fix it) I finally arrived half an hour late, feeling like a total mess and no doubt looking like one. I expected to be told I'd need to reschedule or even pay a no-show fee... Nope, I got nothing but care and kindness - and another wonderful clean, even though my being late had delayed Charlotte's lunch break (sorry!)... PLUS (no kidding!) when the dentist heard what happened, he made sure I was fine, then asked where my bike was, put on some gloves and went out and fixed the chain for me! He even straightened the seat... come for the great dental care (including the thorough but gentle cleanings, so good!) but keep coming because the team at My Dentist are just all-around fantastic human beings. Thanks again everyone! I'm feeling a bit sore from toppling my bike but my teeth (and my faith in humanity!) are feeling better than ever! -- I can’t say enough good things about My Dentist... let’s face it, no one likes going to the dentist (Except me, now I’ve found My Dentist.) The Dentist (Tim) was quick, efficient, and no-nonsense. My cleaning today with Erin (and Charlotte - sp?) assisting was beyond excellent... it was genius, I’ve been naughty and let too much time pass between cleanings, Erin was so gentle (but thorough. Very thorough. I now have the cleanest teeth in all of Christendom, and somehow she made all that scraping and tugging make me feel like a nap - Erin is beyond a pro, she’s a master!) and everyone - Zara at front desk - is just brilliant. I’ve found my Adelaide dentist and it is well worth the extra mile (and I walk!) to go a little past “The Parade” proper to these guys... thank you, I don’t think I’ve ever had cleaner teeth and your manner is just delightful. I had fun getting my teeth cleaned! What else to say... ***** 5 stars, and I NEVER give five stars.

Fantastic experience: Dr Tim at My Dentist is a real expert with TMJ problems. He took lots of care in balancing, adjusting and polishing my splint. As a result I have far fewer headaches and my jaw is no longer sore. Great work, thanks Dr Tim!

Fantastic experience: This is the best place to go to if you’re wanting a pleasant and comfortable experience! I have the biggest fear of needles and usually don’t like going to the dentist, but Dr Tim made sure that it was as easy and painless as possible and I hardly even felt it! The staff there are so nice and are very welcoming as soon as you walk through the door. It is always a pleasure having my dental work done at My Dentist!

Negative experience: I went here about a bad tooth at the back of my mouth I've got and they recommended a cap or crown or something. I didn't have the money ($1600), and then get another job and went back, but they couldn't fit me in before I left town for the new job. I went to a different dentist who said that tooth is in such bad state, and it's at the back of the mouth, we'd recommend pulling it out. That cost $100 with private health (HCF, using a HCF dentist).

The team are so friendly, professional and caring. I had a clean which I usually always dread however the care provided by Erin Folwell - Hygienist was exceptional. She took every precaution to ensure comfort. She is such a warm and lovely person that you can't help relax. I was impressed with the careful application of numbing gel to ensure I didn't experience any pain. What can I say, moving forward they are definitely my dentist. Thank you to the entire team.
