Fantastic experience: I want to thank Dr Darren for his attentive and compassionate support of my mother Yoon. He went above and beyond - she has special needs being in a wheelchair and he was very accommodating in his manner and ensured she was well supported. Fantastic experience: Dr Peter did an amazing job of rebuilding a broken front tooth, it looks so good. He was also fantastic at dealing with my anxiety. The dental assistant was also very kind and understanding. I have also seen Dr Jai in the past and she has also been great in dealing with my anxiety. Totally recommend.

Fantastic experience: I was seeking a holistic dentist and happy I found Holistic Dental - coming since 2022. I had my mercury fillings removed and replaced with composite resin and a close watch on my root canalled tooth with the cone beam special 3D xray. Dr. Rashka and the team are professional, friendly and put me at ease with the procedure of which all went well. I now see Dr. Darren and after my first appointment recently (2025) I continue to be happy with the professional services offered at this clinic. Dr.Darren was incredibly helpful in the way he explains everything, with close up photos of my teeth, and going into details about what happens with cavities, gum recession etc. It was not only a productive appointment (a thorough long overdue teeth clean!) , but also very educational and informative as Dr. Darren explains everything - I am now much more motivated and committed to take much better care of my teeth, understanding the proper way to care for them. Coming here is not just an appointment - I come out feeling empowered and informed about my oral health. From the dentists to the dental assistant, to the administrative staff - professional, friendly and caring about their clients about the holistic way to care for teeth. Thanks again. Fantastic experience: From the receptionists to the wonderful dentists this place is a well oiled machine. Polite, on time and best of all - close to home. I’ve followed Dr Wen from another practice she’s that good. Patient, kind and most of all gentle. She’s helped me improve my teeth quality so much.

Fantastic experience: Dr Peter is a great dentist. He is very kind and caring and addresses all my questions and concerns with patience. I get quite nervous seeing the dentist but Dr Peter makes me feel very comfortable in the chair.

Negative experience: Such a disappointing experience. First of all, be sure to ask what holistic means for this dentist. Secondly, after having an extraction, I returned to my car and noticed a very obvious chip and crack through a crown next to my front tooth, which Dr Peter didn't acknowledge happened until I walked back in and politely confronted him. He agreed to cover the costs to replace it however it took far to many attempts for them to even get it looking remotely similar to what it initially did. Dr Peter was lovely and apologetic but lacked so much when it came to eye to basic detail. I've held back on doing this review for a good 6 months but feel it's important others can make informed decisions that are best for them.

Fantastic experience: Great experience at Holistic Dental Donvale. I saw Dr Peter and he was so kind, attentive and validating of my dentist related anxiety. He made me feel at ease and constantly checked in as he cleaned. I’ve never had a dentist not only share with me what they were doing but also take the time to show me. I started seeing Dr Wen a few years ago and now my whole family sees her regularly, she is patient, caring and highly knowledgeable. The clinic is clean and welcoming with friendly staff. My are much happier since I started seeing Dr Wen.

Fantastic experience: Been going here for about 2 years now. Have had quite a bit done as had trauma to my teeth when I was a teenager. Linda is fantastic. I’ve been known to get a bit stressed when in pain with tooth ache and Linda has been so lovely and helpful on the phone and email. Dr Kevin has been wonderful too. Always explains everything so well and knows what is needed. It’s lovely to have such friendly faces welcoming me each time. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr Derrick Mac for a long overdue complete overhaul, cracked Incisor and cracked Molar, removal of old fillings, removal of tatar and repairing some decay. I explained my irrational fear of dentists and fear of drills. He was extremely thorough in the assessment and recommendation. I thought I might need a couple of crowns. BUT he performed MAGIC and repaired my Incisor to the point it is impossible to tell the difference from my original tooth. I no longer look like a homeless person. I experience ZERO pain and can now smile again. I highly recommend Dr Derrick Mac including his exceptional bedside manner and thorough explanations.

Fantastic experience: Had a fantastic experience here with Kevin & dental assisants. Was not happy with my insurance dental hub and happy to make the switch to something closer to home with a holistic focus. They really took the time to explain the options available and answer all the many questions I had. Gave me advice on preventative treatment, and options for a tooth I was concerned about that was close to needing a root canal due to being unable to treat it at my old dentist during covid. Friendly and professional. Very grateful!!

Fantastic experience: I have never really felt comfortable with dentists I have visited in the past. After visiting Dr Darren Ma at Holistic, I have realised it wasn't me, i just had not found the right dentist. Dr Ma was able to attend to my dental needs very professionally and I felt confident and secure in the treatment. I also liked that everything was explained clearly for me and that I was able to ask questions, as well as get advice on how i can better look after my teeth. I also felt that I wasn't just another client/procedure, and that they were genuinely there to support me and the health of my teeth. I will definitely be returning in the future and am glad to have finally found my ongoing dentist.

Fantastic experience: I’m David’s wife & I saw Damian Teo at Holistic Dental Donvale today to have amalgam fillings safely removed and replaced with non toxic white ones, for health reasons. I can honestly say it’s the best dental experience I’ve ever had! Dr Teo is so warm and friendly and explains everything thoroughly. He loves a chat and is excellent at his job. The service I received from everybody, including his dental assistant and the lovely receptionist Linda, was absolutely first rate! An added bonus is that it was also an affordable experience. Highly recommend this dental practice!!

Fantastic experience: I have gone to Dr Darren Ma 3 times so far to have 9 of my amalgams replaced safely - where he followed all protocols - using a rubber dam, a slow drill with lots of water, and an oxygen mask. I had my amalgams removed in quadrants (have had 3 sections of my mouth done so far) and I asked Dr Darren to take out the highest negative charged amalgam sections first as recommended by the famous Dr Hal Huggins which he was happy to do. Dr Darren is very knowledgeable, friendly and most important of all - PAIN FREE! He is a real expert at administering the anesthetic. Most dentists rush through this and do it quickly - but he took his time doing this which meant it didn't hurt at all! I also really appreciated that he stayed back late finishing the job in my mouth last night (most dentists just say they have run out of time and make you go back another time and I live quite far away). I very highly recommend Dr Darren. By the way, there is alot more positive feedback on him under Holistic Dental Donvale and Whitecoat. It's also worth mentioning I am a total scaredy cat about going to the dentist - I had a phobia where I didn't go for many years. Dr Darren is SO good! Nothing for the scaredy cats to worry about if you see him. Thank you Dr Darren!
