Negative experience: Today I went to see Justin Tayler after I received my dentures last Friday because the dentures were to hard to remove and put in easily. I tried to explain to Justin after he made a some minor adjustments to the denture that it was still not comfortable and that I wasn’t pleased with them, to which I was consistently cut off by Justin and his voice kept escalating louder and louder. It was if he didn’t want me to talk or have my own opinion. Excuse me but this wasn’t a free service, I had already spent $1,400 and I am entitled to let the dentist know if the work was completed to my exceptions/ satisfaction but the issue with Justin is his voice if the only one that matters he wouldn’t give me the opportunity to speak, mind you I’m 62 years old and I would expect a little more respect then to belittled and yelled at by anyone for that matter. This establishment will never succeed especially with the likes of Justin Tayler working there. The level of service I saw today was extremely appalling. and I will never step foot in there ever again. Thanks for nothing!

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr Daniel Andrews for the first time today and I am super impressed. Best clean my teeth have ever had! I highly recommend Daniel if you are looking for a new dentist

Fantastic experience: Dr. Thelia is our child's favourite. I believe that one of the difficulties that parents have is asking their children to clean their teeth on a daily basis. However, our kid is really thrilled to go to the dentist and see Dr. Thelia at each appointment. It is not easy dealing with a three-year-old child, but Dr. T made it easy. Every time our child brushes his teeth, he says, "Dr. T asked Tyrone to brush teeth to get rid of the yellow." In addition, he prepared some wonderful gifts for the child prior to the meeting. How considerate he is! We are grateful for his service and assistance. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I have visited a few dentists over the years so I speak from experience when I say that I highly recommend Hobsons Bay Dental and wouldn't go anywhere else. I have been having my teeth looked after by Dr Dan for about 25 years and always walk out smiling (pun intended!) All the staff are friendly and professional and greet you warmly at both Williamstown and Altona. All my Melbourne based family go there too (that's 3 generations) so I can't recommend their dedicated services highly enough.

Dental visits are my least favourite thing to do however every treatment has been painfree with great results thank you - look forward to seeing you in 6 months.

Fantastic experience: In years gone by a visit to the dentist was a shudder, shiver and scary type of visit. Not any more! A visit to Daniel and his staff, at both Williamstown and North Altona, is a visit to see friendly faces and to be immediately put at ease. Everything dental is explained carefully and clearly, and interspersed with conversations about families, sports, holidays and other topics just as you would talk with family members and friends. We cannot thank Daniel and his staff enough for their very professional and expert care in looking after our dental hygiene for over 10 years. Absolutely no hesitation in giving a 5 star rating. Even has a TV on the ceiling you can watch while they are working on your teeth. Dan was wonderful, and the receptionist was so nice and polite. Would highly recommend! I will be back for sure!

Fantastic experience: Hobson’s Bay Dental is a wonderful family dentist with welcoming and friendly staff. They are fantastic with kids - always making my young daughter feel comfortable and not scared. They make the dentist experience fun for her! It is also nice to find a dentist who delivers what they promise at the price quoted.

Fantastic experience: I've been visiting this dental clinic for almost a decade now, to have my check ups and various dental procedures. The clinic itself is modern and spotlessly clean. The Dentists and staff have always been friendly and respectful, and the work has always been of a very high standard. Many years ago I broke my front teeth. Before I found Hobsons Bay Dental, I had been to a few different dentists who charged a fortune and fitted poor qaulity crowns which broke. My dentist at Hobsons Bay Dental took his time to consult with me, and advise on the best way forward. He even used a computer to render the shape for the crown. A stressful personal experience had a fantastic outcome.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Hobsons Bay Dental. I just finished getting my back tooth filled at Hobsons Bay Dental in Williamstown. It was a great experience and the price was very reasonable I thought. I needed a deep filling on my upper back molar which had been giving me a lot of pain for the last week or so. Dr Metin was fantastic and so was her assistant. Everything was explained to me before the procedure began and at each step in the process. That was very reassuring and watching the TV screen above the chair the nature scenes put me at ease. Thank you so much Dr Metin! First rate service and a great team

Fantastic experience: As a kid, our family dentist was rubbish. He was impatient and couldn't care less if we were comfortable or pain free when he was working on us. When I got into my teens I was old enough to avoid going to the dentist for years. Long enough for me to need 4 teeth to be extracted. Simply because I was too scared to go back to a dentist after all the horrible experiences I had when I was a kid. I was convinced by a friend that I should check out Dr Andrews' surgery in Altona. I turned up knowing I would need a filling after avoiding them for about 10 years. I was freaking out. But Dr Andrews was as good as my friends told me. He explained to me everything that would be happening and most importantly he used techniques which not only meant that I was comfortable but 100% pain free! I left there that day with a nice new filling and huge sense of relief that I was able to go to the dentist again and not be scared. You know you've found a good dentist when you ask them when they're going to put the needle in and they tell you that they already have! I just didn't feel it at all. I now visit Dr Andrews regularly at the amazing new Williamstown practice. Seriously.... you cannot beat the massage dental chair, tv on the ceiling, headphones to listen to said tv and the latest dental equipment! All my family visit hobsons bay dental and I cannot recommend or thank them enough. If it wasn't for Dr Andrews I would have false teeth already!!

Fantastic experience: Ive always shied away from dentists...as a result, I have spent thousands of dollars in the past ten years paying the price . My teeth are not exactly Hollywood shiners , and a list of dentists I have seen during this time is most impressive, from Collins Street to Toorak Road, Kooyong Road, Auburn Road ...and back to a clinic in the city with Trust placed in professionals with expensive reputations has resulted in short lived crowns and fancy work .The anguish, the torment, the horrible anxiety for a short lived result has only fed a phobia that is so anti dentist....and then came Dan. Dan with a sweet empathy and quick hand ,,I have never felt pain with him, only pure relief that I have found a dentist who cares more about patient health and long term results than the rest all put together. My elderly mother now goes to Dan and his grace and courtesy towards her extend an appreciation that finds me humble.....I am so grateful of ra truly remarkable professional who has replaced fear and disrespect with gratitude and appreciation. I have a long term plan that lets me be in charge, and his professional team are faultless. ...instead of fear and trepidation, I look forward to my visits because of the results already being shown. ...I have decided on an implant and have been referred to a specialist of the same high standing and commitment..plus Dan's denture professional has me in awe ...he has the same philosophy towards long term goals and encourages me to drop in whenever I have concerns or need advice. Im no longer paying a huge amount of money for damaged teeth whilst being told ...falsely...how beautiful the results are......truth is they were always short lived, painful and expensive.....i now have a dentist who is concerned in my health and future, and encourages me towards good dental health ... we are a partnership Having a great dentist was a dream I could not imagine..I am so grateful I came across Hobsons Bay Dental and look forward to a smile I can be proud of
