Fantastic experience: Recently moved to the area and found this dentist recommended by Medibank. I made an appointment on Monday and was able to get an appointment relatively quickly on Thursday. Richard was my dentist and he did a great job. Very thorough and very personable. Will be back.

Negative experience: Dentist Richard is under skilled or he just being lazy... he just did a quick check, and said he was not able to do it..he said it may damage the nerve and refer my son to specialists (which would cost thousands of dollars and lengthy procedures) as he said he doesnt have equipements (my son was very calm and cooperative)... I took my son to other general dentist for second opinion, and she did all what need to be done (clean and refilled and my son is now very happy)....I wont come back to your dentist any more...

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr Richard Luu since my daughters were in primary school (they are now in their 20s and still see him!!). I willingly travel from Ringwood to his practice in Springvale each visit as he is a brilliant dentist who cares about his patients especially the nervous ones!! He is so friendly and welcoming, it’s actually a pleasure to see him every 6 months. I feel very confident in his care and have recommended him to family and friends without hesitation.

Fantastic experience: For many years I have been terrified of the dentists after several traumatic and bad experiences in the past. Recently I've noticed some problems and took the courage to go to the dentist for the first time in many years. I was super anxious!! Dr Tony made me feel very comfortable and took the time to talk to me and during the procedure checked-in to see if I was ok. He was so thorough, gentle, calm and I felt very cared for. Fantastic experience: It took me 11 years to find a good dentist. Dr. Richard has been mine since 2018. I had a nasty accident at the beginning of the year, as result of it, I broke some teeth badly. Richard has been the best dentist I could ask for. All I can say is: he is professional, honest, efficient, reliable, and has explained to me everything that I need to know regarding my treatments. As an extra bonus I don’t have to wait forever to get an appointment with him. I highly recommend him and his expertise. To me and my husband. Richard is the best dentist in Melbourne.

Fantastic experience: I had teeth check up and cleaning with Dr Tony Tran on 30/05/2019 , he was very professional and friendly , hardly any pain. Highly recommended .

Negative experience: Doctor Baek is the worst dentist I have ever been to. I go in (December 2018) for a regular check up with no pain in any teeth and she tells me that I need 4 fillings. I thought that was a bit ridiculous considering I take care of my teeth but I figured that she probably knows more than me. In one of the teeth she drilled way too deep until the nerve was showing and then didn't do the filling properly leaving me in immense amounts of pain for four months. I had to spend an extra $500 on repairing this one tooth and in x-rays at following dentists it turns out that one of my other fillings has a gap underneath it. I can't say anything about the other dentists at this clinic but Baek is a bad dentist. She also did a poor job of telling me what was about the happen to me teeth and what needed to be done. She mostly just talked to the dental assistant and I only managed to pick up on what was actually about to happen from listening to that conversation. I don't think she was trying to take the $1000 from me that she did, I just thing she's bad at her job. Avoid at all costs. The one somewhat redeeming quality about this clinic is the prices, however I could not benefit from them because I had to spend a lot more money to fix her mistake

Positive experience: The receptionist might need a bit of work as she wasn't very pleasant to deal with which is the reason why I couldn't provide a 5 star rating. Richard my dentist however is an absolute pleasure to deal with, he's very professional and genuinely cares about the health of my teeth and gums. Keep up the great work! ☺️

Negative experience: Take my 6 years old daughter here for first time visiting dentist to take out 2 baby teeth not moving yet. But adult teeth had already grew inside... Was seen dr Richard LUU, can you believe that he turned his back just after i said that i want to think again if we let him taking 2 baby teeth for my daughter ont he day. Had been charged $75 or $80 for him to stand and have a " quick look" like put his eyes on to see her teeth in 2 seconds. My daughter had support for it from gov so i dont mind to take her to dentist for a proper removing baby teeth. But i think this dentist think i want to save the money to do at home while he try to earn some money arounf $300 on this 6 year old young girl and does not care if she gets scare, hurt for first time having it done. :"turning his back and walker way from me" because i decide to take her back to remove those teeth on holiday when she can have rest at home.therefore i knew i was right not let my little daughter to his hands.. he may hurt her like hell.... And all i thought he was all about money he said that she had to take 2 teeth right that time even they were little and no hurt at all for first time 6 years old girl never experienced the taking out tooth? ( now when i see other dentist in Mulgrave that she said those 2 teeth because not moving yet so very hard to take out and especially she is first time will be scared and hard for dentist to do too).

Fantastic experience: My family and I have been seen the dentists here (namely, Tony and Richard) a few times now. Always have decent experiences - i.e. it's not too painful! Love the text message reminders a few days before each appointment.

Negative experience: Just wanted to leave some feedback from my first visit today, 5/11/2016. The dentist whom I had my appointment with was Yeasul Baek and she was fine during my visit. When I called up for an appointment several weeks ago, I was advised that a “check up” would cost $60. On this information I booked for the appointment. During my visit the dentist did a brief check of my teeth which lasted about 5 minutes. She raised concerns about my wisdom teeth which needed to be extracted at some point but was not urgent. Next she mentioned that I need to engage in regular flossing which I noted. No X-rays were taken but she did ask for x-rays from my previous dental clinic which I said I would get. Next she proceeded to clean my teeth. She did not mention this before she started so I was unaware. The main issue I wanted to express was how painful it was. I have had my teeth cleaned before at my previous clinic at Croydon and it was never that painful. When she finished and I rinsed my mouth I saw that there was a lot of blood. Even after several rinses there was still a significant amount of blood in my mouth from the bleeding of my gums. I then asked her why there was so much blood this time around, mentioning how my previous experiences were not so bloody. She advised that she had to be more aggressive in order to get deeper into the gums to remove plaque build-up. Not wanting to push the issue further I nodded and we finished the appointment just under 20 minutes – the cleaning was about 10 minutes. At the counter I was shocked to be handed a bill for $160. When I queried this the staff explained that the extra $100 was for cleaning. I stated that I was not advised of this fee beforehand and only had $60 in cash. That staff also stated that when I booked during the weekday, another staff member would have taken the call and not them – as they only worked Saturdays. My aim was not accuse staff so no need for them to blame weekday staff, anyway I did not push this matter further. All I wanted was to let staff know in future that they should mention this when they are providing a quote over the phone. I understand the need to charge professional fees to cover costs, even though it is the most I have ever paid for a check-up. I am in no way wealthy nor do I have health insurance cover, so being provided the right information on fees is extremely important. After paying by credit the staff asked if I wanted to make another appointment in 6 months. I politely declined and quietly left. Throughout the day I surprised to see my gums still bleeding. At 11pm that night I finally was able to rinse my mouth without seeing blood. Hope this feedback helps. Kind regards, Charles

Fantastic experience: Tony Tran and his team of dentists are fantastic. Great for the whole family, and wonderful with children. So gentle and caring. The doctors are also very good. Centre is clean, airy and spacious. Staff are also very friendly and parking is easy. Highly recommend.

On a recent visit my 10 year old didn't even realise she was getting a needle. Not like the dentists I endured as a kid!
