Negative experience: If I could leave Zero stars I would. Dr Baker is unethical and a thief. I had a crown prep procedure done on the wrong tooth, which I raised during my appointment. He had rushed over from his other clinic in Clayton to fit me in after work. The cover up story was that it was urgent, as the tooth had big cracks. They had no forms for me to sign, no treatment plan and none of my previous x-rays - taken a week prior - up on the screen. I received no Anaesthetic on a tooth with a live nerve. It was traumatic to say the least and resulted in extreme anxiety for me. Upon a thorough consult and scans with a new dental clinic they found that the tooth did not in fact need to be urgently worked on. The nurses joked during the appointment, that I ‘had a strong nerve’. Upon trying to seek compensation and a resolution they could only offer a refund of my $500 deposit, as I did not trust nor want to return to this clinic. I never heard directly from Dr.Baker, he had his receptionist email me the entire time and apologise on his behalf which is utterly disgusting. I have since spent upwards of 3k over the last year getting this resolved. The kicker is they just ghosted me and I never even got my deposit back!!! What a joke. This clinic should be ashamed of their behaviour, patients put their trust in you. *Edit* - The below response is completely false, the clinic only responded to me when I contacted the HCC and now they continue to not respond to me. Again.

My initial appointment was followed by an extraction yesterday, and I’m happy to report that the entire procedure went smoothly. Nothing was to much trouble explaining the procedure that I was having -front tooth extraction /crown & bridge . He explained what treatment was best for me , explained all images & scans to what’s involved in giving me my beautiful front teeth ! He also explained what stage he was up to whilst I was in the chair which made me feel better , His very calming & understand and very patient . I highly recommend Dr.Lov to any patient of any age . Fantastic experience: First visit to Dr Ivan. He is great at giving options and explaining procedures. During my filling he updated me often with how much more to go at each stage. He consults with the patient so that the patient is in control about treatment choices and does not push to get you to come back for more work unless it’s really necessary. He has a great sense of humour too. Prices were great, even better if you are with a health fund that partners with the practice. Looks like he’s my new dentist!

Negative experience: Not very impressed. needed to reattach a bridge. Paid $220. Two days later it came off. They had it glue it again with extra strength only lasted another 8 days, Will not go there again. Guess it was done by the Dentist that no longer works there.

Fantastic experience: Cleaning & 4 wisdom teeth removal. I had a cleaning and examination done with Dr. Jia for $180 with flouride treatment. Very thorough job done. I've paid the same amount elsewhere for a very rushed cleaning. I also had 4 wisdom teeth removed by a very friendly Dr. Baker for a little over $1100. It is usually $3000+ to get it done under general anaesthesia (where they put you to sleep). I was awake for the procedure and did not feel any pain. I had one problem tooth on an angle which had to be cut into 2 parts and removed; which Dr. Baker anticipated from my xrays and advised me of before my procedure. Even with the problem tooth the teeth extraction went smoothly. The local anaesthetic lasted a very long time after i got home. The aftercare i recieved was excellent. Had a quick check up 1 week after, and stitches removed within 2 weeks at no extra cost. It took Dr. Baker what felt like 1 minute to remove the stitches today and I didn't even feel it. Everything is healing well and I am finally 4 problematic teeth lighter! Thank you Dr. Baker and the Cheltenham Dental Clinic team! I will be recommending your services to family, friends, and all my customers at the pharmacy.

Fantastic experience: Impressed with this clinic, went for a checkup and teeth cleaning with Dr Kamil, briskly efficient and friendly staff, half an hour later I was out the door very satisfied, $210 so not cheap but I dare say the cheaper dentists are perhaps not the best, happy to pay for quality treatment

Positive experience: Tracey was professional and did a very neat job with two urgent fillings on a Saturday morning due to a previous filling coming out. Her assistant was still learning the ropes so there were some minor delays with getting the right equipment at different times but Tracey was really gentle and did an amazing job, the teeth look brand new!

Negative experience: I got ripped off, way too expensive then my filling falls out after 3 months. The Dentist was gentle and a nice man but I wouldn't recommend the work.
