I have a lot of anxiety when receiving dental treatment and all the team here have been so amazing at accomodating my needs and making me feel safe and calm. My beloved dentist Kate recently left and I was a bit worried about starting with a new dentist but Dr Tanya was an absolute delight and made me feel so at ease. Great location on Fitzgerald street with parking right out the front. They’re great with kids too - my son actually enjoys going to the dentist! Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: A+++ highly recommended practice for dental and braces. Waited 6 months to have an appointment for braces at Smileworx Carine. I had my consult, walked out with 0 information or even a quote and was told would be months till I get my braces fitted if i even chose to go ahead with them. Contacted Alma Dental for a second opinion and almost didn't end up going in, so glad I did now. They got me in within a week for a consult and braces were in less than 2 weeks later. Dee and her ladies were extremely professional and Dee even mesaaged me out of work hours when I had a hiccup, which I didn't expect her to do. Fantastic experience: The team of dental therapists and dental nurses working here and so friendly and helpful. I was running a bit late for my appointment in the rain, and everyone was so kind and understanding. The check up, clean, and treatment I received here was gentle, and fast. The practice uses the latest technology, with photos being taken as well as x-rays, both of which were shown and explained to me in detail, during my appointment.

Fantastic experience: Finally, the (often painful) search for Perth’s best dentist is over. If you’re looking for the best dentist in Perth, go see Dr Kate. Super knowledgeable, personable, and oh so gentle! If you enjoy feeling absolutely zero pain while getting your mouth number prior to a filling this is the dentist for you! She also has the kindest support staff and dental hygienists. It takes a unique skill to get me not to dread coming in for a filling but almost look forward to it and they’ve done it.

Positive experience: Updated 26/02/2022 After a reply from Alma Dental regarding our concerns that staff were not abiding by the current mask mandate, and then being supplied with a list of improvements being made by Alma Dental to protect patients (and staff) from Covid, my daughter decided to return to Alma Dental for treatment. She was very relieved to find that Covid safety protocols were being followed on this visit. My daughter is triple-vaccinated, but has a life-threatening illness and cannot afford to be in situations where Covid safety is not upheld. January 2022 My daughter and I attended Alma Dental Surgery last week during a period of mandated mask-wearing in Perth. We entered the waiting room fully masked, but throughout our time there were horrified by the number of staff not wearing masks, including one of the dentists. They seemed oblivious to their error of being mask-less, and chatted away while looking at us in our masks. I had to interrupt conversations to request that staff members put on a mask. One staff member went to get her mask, then wore it with one loop over her ear, while her hand held the mask over her nose - there was air escaping around all sides of the mask. After eventually putting the mask on properly, the staff member later removed the mask to make a 3-5 minute phone call at reception – only feet from where we were sitting. In all, we saw 4 staff members not wearing a mask while we were in the waiting room. My daughter and I were appalled and highly concerned about the lack of adherence to the mask mandate. Dentists, along with doctors, pharmacists, scientists etc. are more highly trained in hygiene, cross-contamination and safe laboratory practices, and as such, I expect them to understand the paramount importance of mask-wearing to prevent transmission of the Covid virus. I also expect them to care about the safety of their patients; a painless dental appointment is irrelevant if a patient contracts Covid, perhaps gets very ill or even dies, due to the failure to follow Covid safety guidelines.

Negative experience: Not happy with the service at all

Negative experience: I went to Alma Dental last Tuesday and wasn’t happy with the service. I got my Xray result done at Perfect smile and asked for consultation from Alma dental according to Xray result. However, they didn’t tell me the price and started to took another Xray and consulted my teeth. Eventually, they charge me $521 without telling me the price before they started and nothing has been done for my teeth. It was so ridiculous price. I was so upset about what they charged.

Fantastic experience: My Mum used to be a dental hygienist so I never trusted anyone else with my teeth until I met the team at Alma Dental. From the free parking out the front, the happy greetings from Theresa at the front desk, all the way through to the service from Dee my new favourite dentist. The clinic is so clean and hygienic, everyone is very Covid safe and I fully trust the team with my teeth and overall health and well being. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I usually don’t like the dentist as I’m often told they can’t help me with my chipped and uneven teeth unless I get veneers. However I went to see Alma and the lovely ladies were so kind and keen to help. I am overwhelmed with the result of the composites the girls did for me, they were so gentle and understanding of what I was hoping to achieve and they went above and beyond my expectations. I can now smile confidently in photos and I am no longer going to hide my teeth from people. Whether you’re after cosmetic, emergency, major dental work or just general check ups and cleans I could not recommend the team at Alma more! Fantastic experience: I had a chipped front tooth that I had an emergency repair on at Alma Dental Surgery. Quick, simple and options explained. Today I can’t even tell which of the front teeth was chipped. Very happy with the work. I have been going back ever since.

Negative experience: I chose this dentist because of all the positive reviews. I found the staff to be very friendly and decided to become a client. However having paid substantially for work to be done, I have since found that it was completely unnecessary and did not fix the problem or the pain. I have now had to go elsewhere and pay again to have the bad job fixed.. More than disappointed.

Fantastic experience: As a woman turning nearly 40... I decided to have some anti-wrinkle injections/treatment for the first time placed approx 5 months ago by Dr Deeanna Luong at Alma Dental Surgery. This was mainly to remove some small lines I had appearing and hopefully avoid them becoming too deep in the future, for myself this was the easiest, quick, pain free and cost effective way to treat them. I am so glad I attended Dr Deeanna Luong for this treatment, she was very professional and knew exactly where would be the best areas to place these injections and since then I have had several comments on how nice and smooth my skin looks. Alma Dental Surgery is a very comfortable surgery. I cannot enhance enough how ALL the staff are so kind and helpful no matter what the treatment is that you may require. Seeing Deeanna was definitely a positive, stress free experience with excellent results lasting over 5 months so far and still looking good. Fantastic experience: After 73 years one can enjoy going to the dentist. I needed a clean and polish after 25 years, Dr Hugo Perez and Sam and lovely welcome from Teresa were there to offer there experience and suggestions. Well truly both are an asset to the industry, I had one extraction and an insert for my bottom plate, top plate a new complete as the other had seen better days. I was so relaxed meeting two people I've never met before, I'm thinking early in life before one didn't ask questions of what to do, my comment is talk and ask the dentist all possibilities with the best results. Fantastic experience: Dee-Anna came highly recommended so i took my very neglected teeth to see her. She put a plan together for me based on priority with no judgement and was also sensitive to my budget. When carrying out the work that involved a bridge, crown and fillings, Dee-Anna always explained what she was doing and refreshingly also told me why. Fantastic experience: A wonderful find. On recommendation from my husband ( Rod Cohen) I agreed to see Dr Dee Anna Luong at her new practice. I found a very friendly energetic and competent small team delivering quality care on all fronts.I felt comfortable to have major dental work done immediately with excellent results. I support my husband's assessment... heads and shoulders above any other work done on his mouth. for me it was the warmth and confidence in the place.We had been with our dental practices 50 and 35 yrs respectively. You may even snag a parking spot at the door with parking available close by. i imaginge children would be happily return there.
