Fantastic experience: Blake quoted for some major work several years ago. I diligently got second opinions where they told me the proposed work could not be done. Went ahead with Blake and everything went exactly as he said it would. He knows what he's doing.

Fantastic experience: Dr Blake has been looking after my teeth for approximately 5+ years now. We have also done successful Invisalign during this time. After many awful and/or mediocre experiences with other dentists throughout my life, Dr Blake, Rachelle and the rest of the team at Birdseye Dental have made visiting the dentist consistently a pleasant experience ❤️ The team are warm, caring and never ever make you feel shameful or make shameful comments about the health of your teeth and gums. Dr Blake will occasionally suggest or explore the possibility of treatments such as teeth whitening or orthodontics but he is never pushy and will never recommend procedures that aren’t necessary. Expect cheesy jokes and an A-grade hug (if you are lucky).

Fantastic experience: If Blake Birdseye is not the finest dentist in Melbourne then he is in the top two. He relishes complicated dental problems and never shies away from difficult work. His perfectionism, enthusiasm and sense of humour are infectious. I've been his client for more than 20 years and I've never had a dental problem he couldn't solve. And he solves it quickly. Given I have a small mouth and too many teeth he has had to do complex work over the years. Also, in my recollection he has only increased his prices twice since I became a client.

Negative experience: I went to this clinic to fix my teeth, and he filled it, but I felt pain the day after. And I went back the second day, he told me it will not feel pain in 2 weeks. But I still feel pain after nine months, and I cannot bite anything over the past nine months. I went back again, and he said he can help me cut off a bit of the filling. But when he did that, he hit my tongue using the drill. I complained about that, he said that was my tongue move to the drill. But that was the bottom of my tongue, how can it move it to drill? My tongue and the part of under tongue both broke. I felt pain all the time, I cannot even eat solid food for long time. Overall he charged me over $1000
