Fantastic experience: Dr Dom puts the gentle in Gentle Dental! Corny but its true, I've seen a lot of dentists over the years and I'm really glad I found her. Her chair-side manner is so calming and she really is very gentle, I didnt even feel the numbing needle at my last appointment! The admin girls and hygienists are always really friendly and professional too, I've recommended this clinic to multiple people and will continue to do so.

Negative experience: A very frustrating and confusing experience. I made an appointment at Gentle Dental Nambour for a clean and scale and to to talk about the possibilities and costs of orthodontic and restorative options, so I could gain a reasonable idea of what is ahead for me, and plan for work needed and the costs involved. The first dentist I saw was somewhat flustered and disorganised. She had experience doing restorative work, but seemed to be confused and grasping for answers to my questions. After a lengthy appointment with xrays and many photos taken (with intrusive stretching instruments in my mouth) I left with no clean, and no idea of what kind of work my teeth might need, and was booked in to another appointment with a second dentist. The person at the counter was also flustered, and said they didn't know how to use the computer system, and I received a call later on telling me I had been overcharged. On my second appointment I had my teeth cleaned, then saw the second dentist, Dr Ahmed. He was unaware of my previous appointment and xrays, and although I informed him of the previous photos taken, wanted to take his own, with more intrusive and painful stretching instruments in my mouth, a long process made longer by the fact his camera wasn't working. I was clear that I had done some research, and was looking for a thorough idea of the state of my teeth, what kind of work they would need, and the costs involved. He used a lot of words, but repeated the same basic, general information a lot, was repeatedly contradictory about the state of my teeth and what approach he would take, and was ultimately unwilling to answer my questions in any detail or provide meaningful information about what restorative processes my teeth require, or a ballpark idea of total projected costs, telling me that they don't do that any more because if they give me information about what my teeth need I might take my business somewhere cheaper. Despite this, he made another appointment for me to return to discuss possible work further. Later that evening he called and appeared to want to discuss it over the phone instead, but as I was in the middle of cooking dinner, we agreed I would return for the booked appointment. During this appointment, Dr Ahmed was again repetitive with basic, general information, contradictory in his assessment of my teeth and avoidant of my specific questions. I eventually extracted the information I needed from him, but - pun intended - it was like pulling teeth, and I left incredibly frustrated and baffled by my entire experience at this practice. All in all I found this to be a disorganised practice that does not value their patients' experience, and places locking patients in financially over providing meaningful insight and health care.

Fantastic experience: Gentle Dentist took the time to listen to my horror stories with other dentists and provided a great service. They used a powder and gentle warm pressure clean to remove stains and plaque followed by a light polished. The process was at my own pace and l could take breaks if needed. My private health fund covered half the cost. Very satisfied.

Their communication was exceptional — I felt informed, supported, and comfortable the entire time. I was even able to pause whenever I needed, which made a huge difference. They were incredibly accommodating, highly professional, and best of all, the experience was pain-free with excellent sedation options available.

Fantastic experience: I saw Dom and Angie yesterday and the hygienist Michelle for a 2nd opinion. I had recently been quoted $10,000 to fix my teeth at the ripe old age of 67 at another dentist. The whole experience didn’t sit right with me hence visiting Gentle Dental. Turns out my teeth are NOT in such disrepair after all. I had X-rays, photos, a clean and a fluoride treatment and plenty of professional advice. I have no cavities and Dom said I have good dental hygiene. I was in the chair for 90 mins and the cost was $290 and I don’t have to go back for 3 months. Dom, Angie, and Michelle, thank you you so so much for your professionalism, friendliness and extreme care to me ( I am terrified of the dentist). Please don’t go anywhere else if you are looking for a fabulous dentist.

Dr Jerry Ahmed certainly knows his craft, in fact he is a master at dentistry. I’ve had some intensive dental treatment on my teeth by Dr Jerry, not only has he saved 3 teeth from the ‘gonski pile’, I’m now in a position to get some chewing teeth again! The girls in Reception are super lively and the dental nurses are fabulous and caring of you…thanks team ! Highly recommend the team at Gentle Dental thanks and see you in 6mths for a checkup !

From Erin at reception, to their lovely assistant (I'm sorry, I didn't catch her name) I was extremely impressed with the professionalism, care and understanding the team at Gental Dental Nambour showed. Fantastic experience: I rarely give ratings… The entire team is wonderful! I have had horrid experiences elsewhere which caused me to grind my teeth even more than I already do. Between Dr Phil and Dr Dom they helped fix years of damage! As others have said, it isn’t cheap but you get what you pay for, these guys got it right the first time! So in effect will cost less in the long run. Appreciate you guys!

Fantastic experience: Best Dentist care I've ever had. Didn't even feel the needle going in. There was no way I thought my front tooth that snapped in half could be fixed, well they done an amazing job,and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this dentist. My daughter went on an separate occasion and had a different dentist to me, she also said it was the best experience all round as well.

Fantastic experience: PREDICAMENT!! Late Friday afternoon, I lost a large filling out of my tooth which left it very sharp. Not being local, I needed to find a dentist that works on Saturdays & I also had a time constraint. As we had stayed the night in Nambour, I googled dentists nearby & found Gental Dental. Decided to rock up right on opening time & was greeted by a lovely receptionist & dentist who said they could see me straight away. We discussed options & it was decided to do a temporary filling as I already had a dentist appointment at home on the Tuesday. (I couldn't wait til Tuesday or my tongue would have been "shredded" & my gum was rather sore with food getting caught etc.). I was very impressed with the camera that showed a picture of my tooth on the screen above me so I could see the "before & after" pics. Dentist Jason & assistant were both very understanding, gentle & engaging. I was extremely happy being able to be seen to straight away & the temporary filling made such a difference. The price was also reasonable. Would definitely recommend this Dental Practice.

Fantastic experience: I was really fortunate to be met by wonderful receptionists the first time I went to the clinic. That morning I'd been so anxious I was ill & wasn't sure whether I'd go through the first appt, but because of their warmth & professionalism, I stayed. My hygienist was Rachel - she too was professional and warm and a great teacher. My Dentist was Dr Liam Maundrell and think I struck the jackpot with him and just can't thank this guy enough for everything. He's so incredibly skilled, professional, reassuring and explained everything. I'm stunned at the transformation so far and so incredibly thankful. Great team - great practice.

Negative experience: Came here for urgent treatment without checking all reviews. Periodontic treatment was advised and very expensive treatment was agreed to. The problem we came in for a tooth hurting was put aside and deep cleaning was prioritized. (This in fact was needed the deep cleaning.) Our quote for 2 visits was $1512.50 each visit. after the 2nd visit we were asked to pay $2268.75. There were no written quotes just verbal. I challenged this price ( the $2268.75 by saying I was told it was for 2 x payments of $1512.50 per 2 x visits. I am so glad I remembered and my wife remembered their word too. Upon challenging them of this overcharge I was told it was a computer problem and the overcharge of $756.25 was given as a " discount" to me! Later the final check some weeks later I was informed would be free. On the day I rang before the appointment and was told it would be $300. I told them I would not give them a dollar until I knew in writing just what was being billed. At this stage they agreed to do the check up for free. So all in all quite a sad and expensive experience. They were not all properly qualified using a student to help, (which we agreed to) . At one visit their were 3 x working on the teeth at once, my wife had to stop that and have 2 x only.

Negative experience: Couldn’t even help me to help the pain in my mouth after not being able to do what I initially wanted which is fine I understand but not even helping me with my pain was not a good feeling to leave like that. Lovely people but had a horrible experience with them.

I have been there a couple of times and I have walked out laughing....I have never ever been to a dentist and laughed before .Thankyou to the whole team for your care and concern about people and just a few kind words and a good laugh is all we have at times. All my contact with this dental surgery from having procedures to having phone calls with them have felt more like a therapy session to me than a dentist visit. Fantastic experience: I can't recommend Dentist Nick & his dental nurse Chloe highly enough after having a painful tooth extracted today. They were both so kind & friendly & talked to me keeping me calm through the whole process. Sarah from the clinic reached out to me after seeing a post I'd put on a Nambour FB page about a dentist recommendation after not being able to get into my dentist. She very quickly organised an appointment for me & before I was out of the clinic she was messaging to make sure I was ok & it all went well. I will definitely be going back to Gentle Dental Nambour

Fantastic experience: My grandson had to have some dental work done today and he was extremely nervous. But he didn't have to be. They were fantastic with him and relaxed fairly quickly. Once he reliased that they were truthful in what they saying and that he wouldn't be hurt he was fine and started talking to them, ( probably too much). The whole experience was great for her from the greeting by the receptionist to the good quality kids books in the waiting area. The dentist made sure she was comfortable before starting the check up and made the experience both enjoyable and informative.

Fantastic experience: I recently found out all kids should visit the dentist by the time they are 2 ! My daughter had just turned 4 so with this news I quickly began my search for a dental practice who were good with young children. Gentle Dental came highly recommended to me by a close family friend. On our first visit we instantly felt at ease, we found the team to be warm and friendly and took the time to get to know us. They took extra time to explain to my daughter the basics of practicing good oral hygiene and demonstrated such practices to us such as tooth brushing, flossing and rinsing. Before they started the examination they explained the procedure in a kid-friendly way, making the whole experience pleasurable and informative to us both. The clinic itself is kid friendly with Ipad’s with games in the waiting room and parking is plentiful and easy. I have no hesitation in recommending Gentle Dental to any parent looking for a great and very patient dentist!

Fantastic experience: Hi every time I have been to Gentle Dental I have found the reception staff to be incredibly helpful, courteous and have always done the right thing to help. Phil is always very busy, but with a bit of notice and some juggling of calendars the team at Gentle Dental always fit me in. I would highly recommend their services.

Negative experience: Today I phoned to make an appointment for my son. I found the receptionist to be incredibly rude in regards to an appt we missed in June. I was shocked at her rudeness it is a shame as the dental staff are amazing.

Fantastic experience: I have spent the past 2+ years going to Phil for orthodontic treatment and I couldn't be happier with my new smile. I moved to Sydney 3/4 way through my treatment and the team was incredibly helpful with organising my appointments in advance so I could fly back each month in order to finish my treatment with Phil. From start to finish his attention to detail and the quality of service I received was outstanding! Highly highly highly recommend!
