Fantastic experience: I genuinely appreciate the time and effort that was spent during my appointment, despite it taking longer than expected. I did not feel like I was rushed through it at all. Dr. Andres was very professional by intently listening and understanding my problem, and made sure I understood my options before proceeding with what I decided on. Emilia was very lovely during her whole assist, and Shari was great in the front desk as well. Overall, a very good experience! I’m glad to have hit the mark with my first dental experience here in Wollongong.

Fantastic experience: If this was a Eurovision contest, I would vote "12 points from Serbia :)" 5* for the professionalism in every aspect of the word. This was my first visit to the clinic for dental cleaning. Dr Andreas is approachable, down to earth, very systematic in explaining the procedure and above all, the nicest human being that you'll ever meet. While having a thorough and proper cleaning of my teeth, I did not feel a discomfort or sensitivity, which was not the case with previous dentists. As a patient, you will be treated with respect. Fantastic experience: I have never written a review before but I felt the need to do so after visiting Dr Andres and his lovely staff at Dentistry Illawarra. As someone with bad anxiety I have always had issues with going to the dentist. After reading the previous reviews from happy patients I made my appointment. Dr Andres certainly lived up to the 5 star reviews. He was very reassuring and patient with me and taught me how to breathe properly while having procedures done. He also gave me breathing exercises to do at home and explained everything he was doing in easy to understand terms. I’m so glad I found this wonderful dentist and his lovely staff and I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Andres is not only an amazing dentist, he is very thorough and his bedside manner is second to none. I felt like these people genuinely cared about me and Emelia is so lovely and went above and beyond to help me get dental vouchers I knew nothing about. You will leave with a happy, perfect smile on your face, feeling like a valued client. I felt no pain during my procedures. I cannot recommend then highly enough.

Fantastic experience: It was a such amazing experience with Dentistry Illawarra. From Dentist，assistant to admin，all of them are friendly，patient，reliable and responsible. Dr. Andres explained everything to me with simple languages，including possible causes of the issue，what he was doing and why，the information from the photos，treatment and potential pain or discomfort during the treatment. He also spent time in considering and detailing my future treatment. I have multiple decayed teeth，they were open and gave me more time to consider how and when to treat my teeth as opposed to push me to book another appointment. The price is reasonable as well. Highly recommend！

Fantastic experience: Andres is not only the best dentist I have visited in my 50 years on this planet--but perhaps the best example of exemplary service I have received in any setting. As he assessed my teeth, from many perspectives, he carefully and clearly explained all his observations--and accurately identified all the causes of any minor problems I had experienced. His manner was warm, friendly, and empathetic. While cleaning my teeth, I did not feel even a moment of discomfort or sensitivity, like a magician. After a comprehensive appointment, I assumed I would need to pay more--and would have been happy to pay more--but his prices were remarkably reasonable. Only caveat is that, at the moment, the lift is broken, and so visitors need to walk four flights. And, because of his thoroughness, the session was longer than perhaps I expected. But, I strongly recommend Andres--because he has restored my faith in customer service and humanity, both of which are sometimes deficient in our busy modern society.

Fantastic experience: Going to this practice made me realize that most dentists simply do the bare minimum (as well as trying to get maximum profit). Dr tamayo-uribe was so gentle, he took his time to explain everything he was doing especially during examination, and to educate me about dental health. He focused on fixing the causes not symptoms and on preventive care which is not what you hear often. My comfort was prioritised and I could tell he cares alot about the quality of his work. I felt like I could ask questions and didn't feel rushed. It's a shame about the accessibility issue (lift broken) as it would prevent people from booking at the clinic. It doesn't seem like the person who owns the building cares very much but don't let that deter you form going there (if you can do 4 flights of stairs).

Fantastic experience: The best dentist I've been to all my life! Patient, polite and explains everything as he goes on with the procedures. Listens to your concerns with your teeth. Teaches you breathing technique while on the chair to stay calm. Highly recommend to other people. Added bonus, are the receptionist and his helpers are also so polite and helpful. A beautiful change from the busy sometimes business like life we live. Genuine care.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Andreas Tamayo has been my dentist forever (at least a decade) and he is fantastic. Her know his stuff, is personable, efficient, and treatments are relatively painless (keeping in mind he is a dentist). Not only is Andreas great, he’s built a fantastic team who are a joy to visit every 6 months. I have no hesitation recommending Dentistry Illawarra to anyone with teeth they’d like to keep.

Fantastic experience: I do not know where to start, I wish I could give more than 5 stars!!! Had issues with one of my molars which needed a deep filling (very close to the nerve) I couldn’t chew on that side for a whole year after a partial filling I got on that tooth from another dentist. Dr Andres did not hesitate to remove and replace the whole filling. It has been two days and I can successfully say that I can now chew on that side :) By far this has been the best dentist I have been too. They went above and beyond and did everything to ease my nerves. Dr Andres, Emilija and Shari, you are the A team!!! Very professional but at the same time so caring and nurturing. I highly recommend illawarra dentistry, you can’t find a better team to care for your teeth! Thank you once again guys! I will be coming back again and making illawarra dentistry my family dentist from now on :)

Fantastic experience: I have been coming here for a few years now and I thought I would share my thoughts and experiences. Dr Andres Tamayo is friendly, kind, genuine and professional. He takes the time to explain what your options are regarding your dental issues, and does not pressure you to undergo any treatment that you do not want to undergo. The staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. Dr Tamayo's dental surgery is located right in the heart of Wollongong in an older building which feels warm and comfortable, unlike a lot of new dental surgeries which feel sterile, cold and unwelcoming. I can highly recommend Dr Tamayo and Dentistry Illawarra.
