Having been a patient since I was a child, I can confirm Dr. Phil operates on a simple philosophy: only fix what's actually broken. No unnecessary root canals, no pushy upsells for "cosmetic enhancements”. If you're looking for a practice that treats your wallet and your wisdom like adults, this is the place.

Dr. Nidhi took her time to help my little one feel comfortable and confident in the dental chair, making the whole experience smooth and stress-free. Thanks to her calm and caring approach, we were even able to complete an X-ray on the same day, which I didn’t think would be possible with such a young child! Dr. Gupta was also very thorough and detailed, explaining everything clearly and providing us with excellent resources and advice to manage my daughter’s dental condition at home. The support staff were equally warm and friendly, creating a welcoming environment from the moment we arrived. My daughter actually looks forward to visiting the dentist now — and wants to go back every day! I couldn’t recommend her highly enough to any parent looking for a compassionate and skilled pediatric dentist.

Fantastic experience: My partner and l have been patients of Dr. Phil for many years. Dr. Phil is very friendly and welcoming. He provides easily understood explanations and outlines various treatment options. We have found that he gives space/time to make your decision with which way you want to proceed and he is also non judgemental if your flossing isnt as good as it should be! Oh, he also gives a very good clean Outside of Dr Phil, we find all the staff at the clinic very friendly and welcoming (special shout out to Shirley). Fantastic experience: Everyone here is so friendly. Phil explains everything he is doing or going to do. Shirl always has a smile and it's always a pleasure to see her. If you need a fantastic dental surgery, this is the place to go.

Negative experience: I will not be returning to Dr Phil. He did not solve my molar toothache after charging me $400 for a filling and further charged me $65 to refer me to an endodontist when his filling did not fix the pain. When I raised my disappointment with how he did not fix my issue and still charge me for a consult, he brought up the fact that his nurses need to be paid a wage… During my consult with him, I asked questions about what next steps involved like the crowning process and what a root canal involves, he asked me to ‘Google and YouTube’ it as this was ‘too much detail’. First consult $65, filling $400, referral $65. I will not be referring anyone to Phil.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr. Phil for a few years but a patient at the clinic for many more. It wasn't until I started as a patient of Dr. Phil's that I stopped fearing the dentist. I can honestly say that I have experienced no pain throughout all procedures undertaken. Dr. Phil's reassuring manner and continuous commentary of what is happening, easy explanations, up to date methods and technology - all help to lessen the anxiety of being in the dentist chair. Forward treatment planning is useful for budgeting and claims on health insurance quite favourable. I find all the staff at the clinic very friendly and welcoming. I would not hesitate to recommend Whitehorse Smile Care, especially to those who may be a bit anxious or battle scarred from previous experiences.

Since his retirement, I have had most of my dental work done by Dr.Phil. I am impressed by Dr. Phil who is a caring and compassionate dentist who makes you feel at ease through the whole procedure. Fantastic experience: I've had a great experience with this practice and I strongly recommend the practice and Dr Nidhi Gupta. I've recently had to have a crown replaced on an incisor tooth. It was a complex job since I've had the crown for 25 years post a root canal, and it was a visible tooth. Dr Nidhi was very attentive in listening to a number of dental as well as orthodontic issues I wanted to address. She did a thorough job formulating a plan of action as well as thinking through risk mitigation. My treatment needed multiple visits and everything from my sittings to lab visits to get the crown the right shape and shade was extremely well orchestrated by Shirley and Dr Nidhi. Dr Nidhi went to the extent of working on her day off to allow multiple sittings needed in the same day in the final step. I'm very happy with the results I've gotten, everything went without a hitch. I can't fault a thing, both Dr Nidhi and Shirley made the experience really smooth. Again, strongly recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: Unbelievable level of care and compassion from Dr Ry and Imogen today. Genuinely cried a torrent of tears of relief from how non-judgemental, kind and gentle they were. I have finally taken steps to resolving a problem tooth that has been disintegrating over the last 15 years that I have been too scared to deal with. I am highly anxious with dental visits and particularly needles, and Dr Ry and Imogen were exceptionally brilliant with reassuring me, keeping me calm, and providing the gentlest and most effective care. I feel like I left the clinic with a plan, and incredible level of trust. Dr Ry took care of the broken and wobbly part of my tooth with such relaxed ease that I honestly did not even know he had done it til he showed me the piece of tooth, and I actually feel confident for the next part of the plan to remove the remainder of the tooth at the next visit.

Fantastic experience: I recently saw Dr Ryoma for two wisdom teeth extractions and I can't recommend him enough. I normally don't cope very well with injections and I was very nervous coming into the appointment but he and the nurse Emily really put my mind at ease. They were kind and understanding and talked me through the whole process before they even leaned me back in the chair. In the end it was a surprisingly pleasant experience so thank you to Ryoma and his team.

Fantastic experience: Dentist visits aren't exactly my favorite, but when I had a painful toothache at the back, Dr. Rai recommended its removal and explained why. I trusted his judgment and scheduled the procedure. Despite my anxiety beforehand, Dr. Rai and his team were reassuring and supportive. Fantastic experience: I've had a lot of dental work over the years. Over the last three years I haven't been to a dental surgery due to a combination of the covid pandemic and having a couple of bad experiences at other dental surgeries. I had my first appointment on Tuesday of this week when my teeth were cleaned. That was the first time in my nearly 60 years that I felt no discomfort whatsoever during the clean - most pleasantly surprising. I returned the following day after having been sent for an opg X-ray after the clean. I had two filings on this occasion. The dental surgeon (Louise) used a gel to numb the gums before administering the anaesthetic. That is only the second time in my life that this procedure has been performed. By this time I am very relaxed. Louise worked meticulously with great care not to cause any discomfort and ended up with a perfect result. My favourite dentist by far.

Negative experience: This is is worse dentist I would recommend to people. They don't provide quote to people before examination, you will see a big amount number on the bill after examination finishes. Dr. Louise didn't provide calculus removal service (I don't have calculus at all). Then The bill showed $120 for removal of calculus...??? She took some photos without telling me how much too... They even charge extra money if you ask more questions which might only takes several minutes. But you won't know this until you see the bill from reception.... Bad experience and feel like robbery.

He is also very thorough in his assessment and explanations which gives me a good understanding of my oral health. Doctor Phil is an awesome and friendly dentist that I highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend the team at Whitehorse Smile Care Dental Clinic highly enough! With well equipped & modern facilities (just had a 3D scan done onsite for a teeth sleep guard) you receive the best care available (great support team & dentist) without needing a referral to a 3rd party. I'm not married yet (Ash?) and still need all my teeth, so Whitehorse Smile Care was able to support me with a preventative treatment plan over the last 6 months to bring my teeth & long term dental health into a much better place. Something I consider a worthy investment and do recommend to family & friends. Conviently located next to the whitehorse medical centre, so my Regular Dentist & Doctor are side by side.

Fantastic experience: I'm an older person who hasn't visited the dentist much throughout my life. A mistake I am trying to correct. Was referred to Dr Phil by a friend as I had been experiencing tooth ache for quite some time but feared going to the dentist. His patience and clear explanation as well as the friendliness of the staff made my visit a very pleasant experience. After discussing with Dr Phil my options I decided best to remove the problem teeth which was extracted without issue and I am returning soon to check up on other potential issues before they get worse. The pain is gone so I'm able to chew on that side of my mouth for the first time in months! Makes me question why I didn't do it sooner...

Phil's approach is very practical, he will always make sure that you understand the situation, layout options for you but will also respect your final say in the matter. Fantastic experience: WOW, What a great local Dentist, I have been to a lot of Dentist's in 54 years and Dr Phil and his team are excellent. Dr Phil explained everything so I could understand what I needed done. The dentist work performed was pain free and done without any fuss - you dont get this type of service very often.

Fantastic experience: I’m not a person who often provides reviews. But in the past few years, my visits to Dr. Fulia for cleaning, treatment and X-rays were informative and educational. I have also never had to wait long periods before my scheduled appointments. A big tick in my box for patient care. In contrast to the past few dentists I’ve visited, especially “preferred dentist groups” for my private health, whom treated myself like one in a hundred. Where I was rushed out the door with a speedy clean / diagnostic. Any questions on costs were usually treated in contempt.

Fantastic experience: just had my first experience at Whitehorse Smile Care and without a doubt I will be back! I live in Caufield and went here by my sister's recommendation and I am so thankful that I did! I am never going anywhere else. Never knew that I could not only have a filling without anaesthetic, but that I did not even remotely need one. The nurse was really sweet and helped relax me. The dentist was so gentle and thorough! cannot recommend here enough :)
