He went waaaaaay above and beyond my expectations! And if you are a Medibank client with dental cover, the rebates may really surprise you! To my awareness, Spencer Family Dentists are only 1 of 2 Medibank Member Choice Dentists in the region, so if you are a Medibank Insurance customer with dental cover, I strongly urge you to see Dr Hussain first, particularly for any major dental work. And even if you’re not insured, I doubt you’ll find a dentist offering as much bang for your buck as Dr Hussain does! Fantastic experience: After recently moving to Bunbury I needed to find a new local dentist. I did plenty of research and was directed to Spencer family dental. I can definitely say that the reviews lived up to the service I got! I hadn’t been to the dentist in quite some time as it’s something I’m not comfortable doing and I decided it was time to get extensive work done to my teeth. I expressed my fears to the dentist on the initial appointment and he reassured me it wouldn’t hurt and he would make sure I’m comfortable before continuing. I’ve had a general clean, broken teeth removed, wisdom teeth removed, bridges made and capping installed all in the chair and I couldn’t be more happy with the result and the customer service! I never realised we had such an amazing dentist local to us in Bunbury and I couldn’t rate him high enough. I’m so thankful for the job he has done and it feels so great to be able to confidently smile again.

Positive experience: Today I went to the dentist after putting up with an exposed nerve for a few days. It was either a root canal, or tooth removal, and after an informative conversation I decided on the tooth extraction. It was so much better than I had anticipated. The dentist and his assistant were lovely; I only had to wait 3 mins in waiting room before I was seen; and it was only $60 after health cover!! It was quick and painless and I was in and out in 20 mins! So fast! I was so very happy when I drove off. But then… My local anaesthetic started to wear off and the pain started throbbing. Worse than the actual tooth before I got it pulled! So I called them and asked how long I should expect the pain and if there was anything I could do to to ease it ( I’d already taken the paracetamol and ibuprofen). She said “It could be painful for up to 3 days”. I asked how I was meant to sleep tonight and she replied “You probably won’t sleep that well tonight”. What!!? I need to sleep tonight! I have a crazy job in which sufficient sleep is a must! At least 5 or 6 panadeine forte for night time use! So instead of a definite 5 star review I’ve given 4 stars because of the pretty crappy pain management for after the procedure. Not even: “if the pain gets too much give us a call and we will see what we can do”… Nothing. So if you are looking at some dental work that could possibly leave you in pain. Make sure you get some pain meds before the procedure. I would still highly recommend this dental practice, and I will certainly use them again - I’ll just source some painkillers prior. EDIT: I slept pretty well as the pain subsided in the afternoon of the extraction. 4.5 stars is my final verdict. :) solid

Fantastic experience: Dr Sohail Hussain is absolutely wonderful! The kindest and most patient dentist I have ever been treated by. After avoiding a trip to the dentist for 10 years I was forced to see someone about an infected impacted wisdom tooth. I chose Spencer Family Dental based on their reviews and I can honestly say that I was not disappointed! I was scheduled in as an emergency patient right away, prescribed antibiotics for the infection and given time for them to work before being booked in on a Saturday to have not 1 but 3 wisdom teeth extracted in the chair. I was extremely anxious about it on the day but Dr Hussain very kindly explained to me how the whole process was going to work, reassured me that I was completely in control and I could stop the procedure at any time and then managed to have removed all 3 teeth in under 40 minutes - including the consultation on arrival plus waiting for the anaesthetic to take effect on each tooth, organising a follow up appointment and a lengthy chat afterwards about how stunned I was to be leaving so soon and feeling so well! I called the practice with a query about my recovery during the week and was given all the information I needed and was again reminded that I was welcome to call or email any other queries or concerns I might have and that I'd receive a response as soon as possible. They are just so professional and focused on patient care. I cannot recommend Spencer Family Dental enough! If I could give them 10 stars I would!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant!!! My 87 year old gran tripped this evening, landed on her face and knocked her tooth out. We called (this was after hours) and got in within 20mins - her tooth was back in before we knew it. We cannot believe how kind, reassuring and professional the dentists are and how well they treated my lovely old gran. She was horrified she would have to live with a gap in her mouth for the rest of her life but is so happy now. Thank you so so much :) :) :)

Fantastic experience: This is an amazing dentist, whom i totally recommend! A chip of my tooth broke off yesterday night, so i called them this morning and got an appointment for today. I’m always afraid of injections inside my mouth, but the nurse and the dentist were really comforting to me during the whole treatment. A wonderful and friendly team with Dr. Sohail. He explained everything he did to me and was very kind. He is a great dentist.

Fantastic experience: I was so nervous and claustrophobic about going to the dentist but had a broken a tooth! They fitted me in and were very supportive of my silliness. All the staff were great and the dentist was quick, efficient, friendly and professional. Fantastic experience: To be honest, I have been sinfully neglectful of my dental health, having ONE dental appointment in well over 30 years. As the years progressed so did the excuses not to do anything about my teeth. The usual stuff, I guess: 'painful dental visits in years gone bye' 'they won't be able to do anything anyway' and simply a lifetime of dental embarrassment, which manifested itself as a self imposed rule of; 'Never smile in photos' There was always a reason to postpone the 'visit to the dentist' But the time had finally come to see a Dentist, but which one? I did exactly what you are doing - I googled a review of local Dental practices and Spencer Family Dental Clinic came up with great reviews, so I booked online. Thanks, Google reviews you connected me with Dr Sohail and his wonderful team! In the past 5 weeks I've had 4 procedures the last one (today) was a Root Canal. (I write this review within 4 hours of completing this procedure) Dr Sohail is the consummate professional, very highly skilled, empathetic, non judgemental, educational, personable and always on-time! I do not write many reviews but will always take the time to promote those who provide a great service/product.

Fantastic experience: I have been suffering with tooth pain for six months but dread going to the dentist so I kept putting it off but it kept getting worse. I'm so glad I decided to go to Spencer Family Dental - all the staff were very professional and helped me relax the whole time. There was no pain (AT ALL) during the procedure and I can now eat and brush my teeth without fear of that stabbing tooth pain coming back. I can't recommend Spencer Family Dental enough - I wish I went in six months ago!!!

I HATE dentists but I have no problem whatsoever in going back here. Sohail is kind and considerate and very reassuring, not to mention excellent at his job. The service after you leave is also outstanding with phone calls to check on you following the procedures - never have i had that from any other clinic. Fantastic experience: Dr M Sohail Hussain is amazing. My 6 daughter had trauma to her two permanent teeth on a Sunday. We were told by the emergency hospital nurse and dr at the hospital there was no one to help. Thankfully Dr Sohail from Spencer Family Dental was available and my daughter was seen by him and treatment was started. He has continued with my daughters treatment, giving support and care along the path of recovery. The best dentist in Bunbury.

I rang Dr Sohail after hours and he was kind enough to leave his shopping and come back to treat my 5 yo daughter so she could eat at night.
