Negative experience: I didn't have a positive experience here. The dentist is always in a rush and overcharged for subpar dental work. If you care about your teeth and your money, avoid this dentist.

Stephen is patient, funny, caring and extremely knowledgeable. He is assisted by a team of experienced, friendly staff who are always welcoming. Going to the dentist for us is like a happy, family experience.

Fantastic experience: My whole family of 6 has been coming to Dave Pham for the last 20 years! We have had 2 lots of braces, multiple root canals, way too many fillings for Dave’s liking thanks to our obsession with sugar, and cleans every few months. We have found Dave and the whole crew/staff like Anastasia on reception to be exceptional in every way, they have been helpful, insightful, and Dave’s expertise as a dentist has been top shelf in every way. I would highly recommend them as we travel nearly an hour every time to see him because this practice is worth it!

Fantastic experience: I have been cared for by Dr Lenton for over 30 years, and have absolute faith and confidence in his practice. Making the move to Summer Hill Dental group when he started working there over 10 years ago was a no-brainer, and I have found the staff there (especially Anna and Debbie), to be fantastic; efficient, friendly and just gorgeous people who are genuinely happy to see and help you. Their facilities are top of the line - they have an in-house OPG and use painless laser technology. I always receive a thoughtful reminder text before my appointment, and have never struggled with availability when making a booking. I have referred friends and family to Dr Lenton over the years and have received nothing but positive feedback from them. One friend in particular had quite terrible staining (smoker!), and Dr Lenton lifted those stains with ease, and the difference was remarkable - it was like he had a new smile! As a nurse I highly value dedication to quality and safe practice, and can see that clearly demonstrated in the conduct of SHDG. 10 stars

Fantastic experience: Dr lenton was very polite and the overall experience was very calming and soothing in an uncomfortable situation .

Negative experience: Unfortunately can not give either of these dentists a good review. I had a wisdom tooth extraction for an infected wisdom tooth, I’ve never had any other problems with any other teeth and when visiting them the problem was isolated to the one tooth. The wisdom tooth at the time was very close and almost on top of the back molar next to it. Not long after having it removed, I was having some ongoing pain, had it checked everything was “fine”. About 6 months after persistent pain started going on in the tooth next to the tooth removed, I went back over the next year or so multiple times and saw Steven and no X- rays or explanations were given just antibiotics incase it didn’t get better. I tried to get through but ended up on daily panadol and nurofen and being unable to eat, after taking antibiotics the pain would resolve. After about a month or so eventually the pain would start returning and was given no answer, so I saw David. David took X- rays and assumed I was grinding my teeth and had no explanation but to send me to endodontist who conveniently see people for root canals for when people have dead nerves. ( also not explained to me, I’m lucky I’m a nurse) I was also told unlikely to be an infection even though multiple doctors I worked with said if antibiotics are relieving the symptoms there is obviously an infection and most likely dead nerve damage causing that to the tooth. After explaining I had never had these problems, they also refuse to pay unless there is X ray proof and evidence they cause it. After going here I found out a friend had needed surgery after seeing David for her wisdom tooth out, a sister in law had needed a tooth out which was previously ok after seeing Steven and my father in law also had the same experience. DO NOT SEE THESE PEOLLE! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND PAIN

Negative experience: Avoid at all costs. My sister and girlfriend have been there for tooth extraction and both lost a whole other tooth due to their rough methods and knocking a neighbouring tooth during the process. My sister also got dry socket and was in immense pain. One saw David and one saw Steven. Both are absolutely not good dentists and I'd NEVER go there after TWO people I know have been butchered.

They fitted me in almost straight away. I had total trust in David. He explained what was happening, what could happen and asked how I felt, before deciding on the treatment. I felt confident that everything was under control, and was even much more relaxed than usual when given two injections. Negative experience: I would avoid. Every time my partner goes there she arrives complaining about the service provided. On simple cleaning and they end up breaking parts of the filling she has on one of her teeth and, instead of repairing it properly, the doctor leaves it clearly different as it was before. She has to tell him it’s not the same and even afterwards the correction looks a bit sloppy and not exactly in the shape of a tooth. This has happened twice. The first he even left it broken. Unbelievable.

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend this practice enough! I had an extremely sore, swollen gum and called these guys as soon as they opened this morning. I was in so much pain and I asked if they had any room to fit me in. They were fully booked but the lovely woman who answered the phone told me to come in and the dentist would see me inbetween patients. When I arrived, I was in luck as someone had just cancelled their appointment and I was seen pretty much straight away. The staff were absolutely lovely and welcoming. I saw Dr Stephen Lenton and he was super friendly, funny and just a stand up guy! He made me feel comfortable and helped me with my issue. Being the Christmas/new year's holidays, I was worried I wasn't going to be able to get in to see a dentist at such short notice and I'd end up having to visit an emergency dentist, but Stephen and the other woman (I'm so sorry, I don't know what her name is!) We're so helpful. It was my first time visiting the clinic and I would go back in a heartbeat. Thankyou so much for looking after me and being so accommodating!

Fantastic experience: Doctor Lenton has been my dentist for over 20 years now. One of the things that keeps me coming back is that Stephen is a genuinely nice bloke. He is great at putting you at ease and makes sure you understand what is happening and what the options are. To make things even better, he has one of those whizz-bang laser drills. Using that gizmo for a filling often means no injection, no drilling and no numb mouth. It almost makes you look forward to going to the dentist. Almost.

Negative experience: Unfortunately I cant give a good review as I only went here once and I didnt even get to have my appointment! After me waiting for approx. 45min-1hr I was advised by the Dentist that she wouldnt be able to do my teeth today (even though I had an appt booked back to back with my son). I was asked to reschedule and come back another time. Given I had taken the afternoon off work as it was to go to the appointment I was not interested in going back here! Sorry guys but really not acceptable!!

Negative experience: 3 check ups didnt find our decay, overcharged, fix by a different dentist elsewhere. Avoid!
