Fantastic experience: I recently had a tooth implant done by Dr. Michael and I cannot speak highly enough of the experience. From start to finish, everything was handled with such professionalism, care, and precision. Michael was supported by his fantastic team—Hayley, Paris, and Bam—who made the entire process smooth and comfortable. The surgery itself went incredibly well. I was thoroughly looked after both before and after the procedure, and even received a follow-up check to see how I was feeling—which really meant a lot. As someone who’s always had a fear of dentists, I was nervous going in, especially knowing this was one of the more significant procedures you can have. But I can honestly say the experience was exceptional. The clinic is equipped with the latest technology, and Michael’s attention to detail and precision were truly impressive. I didn’t need stitches, and aside from the initial numbing, I felt absolutely no discomfort—it was easy to forget I had just undergone surgery. I highly recommend Michael and his team to anyone seeking not only outstanding dental work but a genuinely caring and professional environment. Fantastic experience: I was initially apprehensive going to Smile Doctor as I wasn’t sure what to expect, or if they could really help me with my teeth. From the very first visit I felt reassured, listened to, and looked after. Michael was patient and kind and I didn’t ever feel pressured into having procedures done that I didn’t think I needed. He listened and made suggestions that would improve the overall look and function of my teeth. Fantastic experience: First of all, this review is well overdue. I’ve been seeing Stella for over fourteen years and couldn’t be happier with the service I receive. For the past four years, I’ve lived in Newcastle and still travelled down to Mona Vale to see her. It isn’t just the impeccable service that I receive or the fact that I know they’re using the latest in equipment. The reason I travel two hours each way is that, over the years, I’ve built up a relationship with Stella. I HATE going to the dentist, like many others, I had a phobia about ever setting foot in one, but whilst I still get nervous, I know by the time I leave, the weight of worry has lifted off my shoulders. Stella is very knowledgeable and well understanding of all of her patients needs and gets to know them on a personal level. Which is the reason why I keep coming back. If you’re looking for a new dentist, please give her a call. You won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: When I contacted Dr Malcolm’s office I was upset and in pain having had a previous dentist from an “insurance” company freak out over my decayed impacted tooth (high up at the back). She repacked my tooth left the decay and the pain and said rebook with someone else. I felt abandoned and in shock. I was further told on the way out the door… “no dentist can fix that! The tooth has to be taken out.” But then I found Malcolm… he was fully booked but made time… He numbed all my pain! He spent hours helping me, and he DID THE IMPOSSIBLE! He saved my tooth! With a root canal that was virtually painless! I felt relaxed and cared for. He has a massive heart! And that man has insane skill. I can’t recommend him more highly… thank you Malcolm

After putting off getting all my wisdom teeth out, I nervously booked in and was shocked at how easy, painless and manageable it really was! Let me tell you, the dentist in Newport ruined my teeth. They gave me wrong diagnoses and did dental work that I didn’t need. This review is to tell you MaL is a saviour. He and his team Pia and Hayley go ABOVE AND BEYOND for you. They are thorough perfectionist , pain free , and so lovely . They have the best sense of humour which makes you instantly relaxed as you walk in. Sherelle on the desk will do anything she can to make the appointment work for you. I cannot recommend Mal enough . Everyone needs these guys in their life. In my opinion 5 stars isn’t enough .

Fantastic experience: I’ve had a really positive experience overall in my many years (most of my life) receiving dental and orthodontic care at Smile Doctor - but most recently in removal of all 4 of my wisdom teeth. The pre and post-op care instructions were extremely thorough but easy to follow, aiding in a very successful and painless healing process for me over the last 9 days. I was made fully aware of every possibility for during and after surgery and things were not “sugar coated” which I definitely always look for in a healthcare professional. I’d rather be a bit nervous beforehand than not be prepared for what could come after! I opted for an oral sedative and local anaesthetic only, so I do have full memory of the surgery and it is safe to say, as usual, Dr Malcolm Cooke and his amazing team did a wonderful job checking in on me and making the whole thing feel like a breeze! I had very little pain at all aside from a dull ache for only the first few days. I even let my pain medication lapse for a short time on the second day due to curiosity of my pain level and it was fully manageable without, just more comfortable with it! You can’t put a price on being able to put your full trust in your dentist, and I know I can always feel safe and well cared for by everyone at Smile Doctor so thank you and I’ll see you again in 6 months for my regular clean!

All the staff are amazingly attentive, and leave you feeling like you really matter. 3 of my adult children also go here & have all remarked something similar. Stella the dental hygienist is absolutely amazing & has an incredibly engaging manner that makes you feel like family … Malcolm the dentist is extremely skilful & talented in his vision & art of delivering a beautiful smile, and is kind & gentle. I had never before considered any kind of orthodontics for myself - didn’t need much done at all & yet with some gentle encouragement to consider Invisalign, I was stunned to find that this was probably the best self care decision I have ever made for myself. I am now very frequently remarked on my smile, and it has really boosted my self confidence. I am forever grateful. I used to fear each visit to the Dentist - not anymore - i genuinely look forward to each visit here. Beautiful, warm & welcoming staff, rooms that are serene & immaculate. Incredible & very professional dentistry practice. You will not regret it!

Negative experience: Deeply disappointed on how this establishment perform procedures on me without getting my consent and charged me over $200.00 under pretence to see me for free consultation. Beware.

Negative experience: My connection with this place was disgraceful, humiliating and downright rude. I approached them in connection with my dentures. I was told that a $450 Charge for consultation which I queried. The response from 'Malcolm' was rude and stank of high society. He suggested that I had done my dentures on the cheap and got what I deserved. I did not do it cheaply for the record. Following my response he retracted and suggested an initial chat . I never got a response on a time or how to move forward. My advice is..unless you like paying high rates..do not go anywhere near this rude and offensive dentist.

With Smile Doctor, that’s all changed. The entire team are warm, welcoming, caring and professional and you really know that they are considering your full care. Fantastic experience: I found the staff at The Smile Doctor to always be very friendly. Dr Cooke always let me know what he was doing, gave clear instructions and I always knew what he wanted and felt comfortable in his care. I started off with a plate which I had for a year and then I went to Invisalign for two years which was good as I felt more comfortable in public then wearing braces and I now have perfectly straight teeth.

The friendly and efficient team at The Smile Doctor are focussed on you, the Customer. The company invests in the best training and equipment. When you leave, you will know that you have had best of treament and care. They'll give you great information and you will certainly be made aware of what you should have done better - in my case flossing! Dentists are never cheap, but when I pay my bill, I'm confident that good treatment and great advice will minimise the number of future bills. That is what I want - fewer visits to the dentist!

Even though it takes me an hour to travel to Mona Vale, I am happy to do so to have my teeth looked after by this meticulous and professional dentist and his great support team (Stella has been my dental hygienist for the last 8 years and she is the best I've ever had !). Negative experience: I can say i did NOT leave the smile doctor smiling, rude staff! My kids teeth hurt for hours as they did not warn my kids that the Minties™ would stick their teeth together and when whey tried to pull them apart it hurt their gums. NOT HAPPY!

Fantastic experience: A week ago I had my third successful tooth implant with no anaesthetic. Thanks to Malcolm's skill, expertise and care, it was business as usual and apart from the temporary tooth I've already forgotten I had it done. I've been going to the Smile Doctor for over a decade now and although I've long since retired and moved to the mid-north coast (I'm now 80) I wouldn't trust my teeth to anyone other than the team at the Smile Doctor. I've tried but it just isn't the same!
