Fantastic experience: I was looking for holistic dentistry 5 years ago after getting sick of flashy dental clinics fixing things temporarily rather than helping to fix root cause with improved oral health. Found Dr Herman as the best in my experience last 5 years. My oral health is much better with healthy gums and aliged teeth. I got Invisible aligners based on her recommendation and it worked perfect. Higly recommend Dr Herman.

Negative experience: This dentist has moved around a lot and cleaned my teeth once and left part of the instrument in my teeth had to grind my teeth to retrieve it so never returned but was in a different suburb then originally from Romania. Has a blackboard advertising cheap crowns in Paddington on Given Terrace. So buyer beware. Thanks for response you were at another location and I got my records transferred after my experience with Mirela.Herman.

Fantastic experience: Dr Mirella Herman is an exceptional Dentist (although ‘Dentist’ doesn’t really cover the scope of expertise provided by Dr Herman!) who has advanced knowledge across a vast range of oral issues and an incredible range of qualifications across various facets of dentistry and orthodontics. She is very highly qualified and educated! Dr Herman’s knowledge of technology is amazing - and it was fascinating watching her design my new smile (four crowns) using state-of-the-art equipment. There is no need to deal with temporary crowns or veneers with Dr Herman as these are designed, printed and installed all on the same day, which was so interesting to watch. This also reduces the cost as everything is done ‘in house’. My new teeth look absolutely amazing and all of my visits have been completely pain-free. Dr Herman and her team are amazing and I can’t say enough good things about this lovely, friendly practice. If you hate the Dentist … try this one!!

Fantastic experience: I wanted to thank Dr Mirela again and again! She is an exceptional dentist with the widest possible range of skills! She also has the latest dental and diagnostic equipment in her dental cabinet. I came to Dr Mirela 3.5 years ago for the first time with untreated root canal tooth and gum inflammation. Dr Mirela done 3D and panoramic Xrays to determine a problem with my tooth and gum. She explained to me that the tooth needed an urgent root canal treatment and that infection already started spreading to the bone under the gum. She treated root canal but after several days the upper part of the tooth under the gum got infected again. In order to maintain my tooth, she did Periradicular Curettage and draining of inflammatory tissue. She did a small incision in a small osteotomy and all pathological tissue was removed and curetted. After the surgery she additionally treated the tooth with laser to make sure that all infection was killed. It was really challenging for me as I never had such complicated problem with my teeth and gum before. After 6 months the tooth settled, and it was saved. Several months ago, in 2024 I had another problem with my broken implant which needed to be removed. Dr. Mirela opened flap-cut a gum and removed (cut out/unscrewed) broken implant. After cleaning infected bone and gum tissues, Dr, Mirela done bone augmentation (grafting) and replaced missing/damaged gum tissue (gum augmentation). After 2 months of bone and gum healing, Dr. Mirela put a 3 unit bridge over the removed implant. She used an amazing technology to create a bridge, by scanning teeth first, then creating a 3D bridge image on computer and then automatically cutting out the bridge on the machine. The whole process of making a 3 unit bridge took around 3 hours (!) and I left with a new bridge in my mouth and a happy wide smile. Amazing!!! All done in just one visit! Dr. Mirela dentistry is a real 'one stop shop'! She does it all: latest diagnostics, 3D scans and Xrays, fillings, root canals, cosmetic dentistry, bridges/crowns, implants, removal failed implants, bone and gum augmentations, complicated dental surgeries, aligners and list goes on and on!!!! I wonder what she can't do!!?? I also have found her prices quite reasonable considering the quality of her job and complicated cases she takes. I highly recommend Dr Mirela. She is a truly professional and caring person. I can't thank her enough.

The staff was really kind and calming, and they took the time to explain my treatment options. The dentist was friendly and patient, and I never felt rushed. The office was clean and the team seemed genuinely interested in making sure I was at ease throughout the visit. I’m glad I found a place where I feel taken care of. Negative experience: I went here three years ago as a uni student and was told that I needed to get $1800 worth of fillings so I’ve been reluctant to get check ups as I can’t financially afford this. I’ve just been to another dentist and they’ve told me my teeth are fine and I don’t need any fillings at all. This woman either doesn’t know how to accurately assess her patients or she’s looking to financially exploit people - either way, I’m concerned. I wouldn’t recommend going here unless you want to spend more than you should.

Negative experience: Brutal markup, after seeking a second opinion I realised this dentist was attempted to scare me into spending more and more for procedures I didn’t need! Don’t believe what they tell you and seek a second opinion as this person is more interested in their bank account than providing what they know to be proper care. Fantastic experience: I wholeheartedly recommend Dr Mirela Herman! I discovered Dr Herman last year when I was dealing with some complex dental problems (age 69 and previous long-term smoker). I spent an agonising 6 months running around between my previous dentist and separate specialists as previously referred: Periodontist (gums), Endodontist (root canal) and Prosthodontist (dental bridge). Dr Herman used state-of-the-art equipment and gave me well-balanced holistic advice about the best solutions for my dental needs. Her work has been meticulous and has successfully resolved my current dental problems without any complications. To top it off… her caring and attentive staff gave wonderfully soothing and therapeutic jaw and face massages! An absolute Plus! I am so relieved and thankful to now have Dr Herman and team managing my dental care. Fantastic experience: I walked in off the street and they were able to help me with my needs same day. Overall I'm happy with the result, I can understand how others may find Dr Herman not as delicate as other dentists. However I'm not going in for a hand hold and sharing feelings. I'm there to get my dental needs fixed. The price was reasonable and they were transparent with all costs before proceeding in the work. They also did not add random fees which was refreshing, as other dentists have definitely left a bad taste in my mouth when it came time to pay!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Mirela and her staff were exceptional. I had my very first crown and was impressed as it as all done there at the clinic. I saw my crown being made, didn’t have to go back in 2 weeks time to have it fitted and with much more realistic costs than the quotes I was given elsewhere. They were lovely, caring and no pain which was an added bonus as well as receiving a cuppa and cake while I waited only 16 mins for my crown to be made. Negative experience: I had the most awful experience of getting fillings here, and I’ve had A LOT of fillings. I was crying in the chair despite having three numbing injections because Dr Herman was excessively rough. My jaw still hurts five days after getting the fillings. She has a strange demeanour and was incredibly micro-managing of her competent assistants (one is a dentist herself). She was literally holding the hand of one as the assistant sealed my fillings. I could sense Dr Herman was rushing because I think the appointment took longer than anticipated, due to the extra numbing, so she was rough in she put and removed things from my mouth. Even with the gentle support of the assistants, I felt a lack of care was taken in treating me. To add insult to injury, the price for two fillings (including an x-ray) was $675! Fortunately, Dr Herman refunded me the bill in recognition of my negative experience, for which I’m grateful. However, another dentist had to fix Dr Herman’s work and her x-rays made my teeth appear worse than x-rays taken by my new dentist.

Negative experience: Whatever you do, DO NOT go to this dentist. The misdiagnosis was clear straight away (due to what felt like a lack of attention to detail and poor beside manner). Post appointment I tired to seek further information regarding Dr Herman’s results so I could discuss with another dentist (for a second opinion), however Dr Herman could not provide a clear explanation. I also found it rather strange that all the assistant staff did not seemed to know any practice procedures, as well as the office space was cluttered and appeared extremely disorganised.

Fantastic experience: Mirela and her team at her gorgeous dental boutique are simply the most qualified, professional high tech and innovative dentistry team you could want. Your teeth need to last decades, not worth risking on less than the best and Herman dental is the best.

Fantastic experience: Hello, I am here to write a review about something in my life that was going to be a tragedy. My teeth had suddenly deteriorated and I was in a state of terror and panic. I live four hours from Brisbane and our Country dentists were not up to the job, all they could do was pull all my teeth out for $8,000. There had to be another way but I had no answers. So I started praying and searching for help. I made a few calls to the most obvious dental clinics in Brisbane but they didn't say anything hopeful, then I came across Herman Dental. I made the call and described the nightmare going on in my mouth, my teeth were breaking off at the gum! I needed urgent help! After 30 minutes of chatting about my dilema the receptionst booked me in. That is when I met Dr Herman! I immediatetly felt she could perform this miracle I needed and she was willing to save all my teeth unlike all the other dentists I had seen and spoken to. Treatment began and all my teeth were saved. In her office she has the most up to date equipment, the computer makes the teeth and prints them in the other room, then they are put in immediately, no waiting. I walked out with teeth on the first day. Dr Herman is the best dentist anywhere, I do not trust anyone else now. Whatever problem you have Dr Herman can fix it, I trust her decisions and her ability to give the best outcome. This truly is advanced dentistry and I am so happy I found Dr Herman! My teeth, although having spent a small fortune over the decades were on their last legs. Now let me tell you now this was one of the hardest things I've done in my life. The shame and embarassment was palpable. I had a fair idea of what was required and the cost involved but you don't want a lecture and the judgment. Well apparently I walked into the rite surgery.. I was met with sympathy, empathy and professionalism from the get go. Merila is a charming lady with an off center sense of humor that is not only soothing, but also instills confidence. Not only did this lady give me extremely amazing service experience she and her staff assisted in a payment plan that I thought I could never access. Fantastic experience: Going to the dentist is FUN!? Dentist remembers what you chatted about at the last appointment? Yes! I came to see Dr Herman because I have had shocking TMJ pain for years and frequent headaches that would last for days. I knew it would not be a quick fix but something had to change. Dr Herman is surprisingly patient and allows herself enough time in each appointment to do everything thoroughly so I left each time feeling comfortable with the changes made to my teeth. We talked about options and I was given costs and scenarios without ever feeling pressured. My headaches have all but ceased and my bite is much more comfortable with no pain and no clicking or clunking. I can’t recommend Mirela high enough. It did take time, and I had to be patient as well, but I am so happy I went this road and not to surgery. I am moving my regular dentistry to Mirela as well, because I trust her, but also because it is actually really fun! Who thought you could enjoy going to the dentist? There is always great music playing and the amazing dental assistant, Daniel, is fun to talk with. They’re a fabulous team and genuinely care about their patients.

I've embarked on a long-term orthodontic treatment with her and my teeth actually moved a lot faster than we were expecting. I'm really happy that I decided to go ahead with this. Fantastic experience: I have been a patient with Dr Herman for more than ten years. In all that time I have always been very happy with treatments I have received. Dr Herman is dedicated and experienced professional, with great skill and patience. I am always confident of receiving quality dental work. I would recommend Dr Herman without reservation.

Negative experience: Be wary going to this dentist, they are very misleading in terms of cost. At the initial appointment I was informed it would cost $900 for the whole treatment, which would span two appointments. At the end of the second appointment I was told that I needed to rebook in a week or so for the final appointment which was an additional cost, upwards of $200 or so. On leaving, I was also asked to pay a total of $965 for the already completed two visits, more than the quoted $900, because apparently the consultation and X-ray fees were not included in the amount I was quoted. When I asked why I wasn’t informed of this additional cost I got an abrupt response to the effect of ‘it’s in my notes’. Overall I was asked to pay an additional $300 or so and attend an extra appointment than I was initially told would be required.

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Dr Herman for over 10 years. She helped me solve chronic headaches caused by TMJ issues and for this i'll be forever grateful. She has a high attention to detail, she cares about you as a patient and takes a holistic approach to your treatment.

Negative experience: Came here for a second opinion, scammed me into 6 fillings I didn't need. Ended up getting 2 root canal later this year with an honest dentist. Her assistants don't know what they're doing half the time. Multiple visits, always had to wait around ages for her see the previous patient. Walked away with more problems than I begin with. Never again.

I had never been to a dentist before and now I don't see myself going anywhere else as the service I received was amazing; turned an embarrassing issue with my teeth into allowing myself to smile again beautifully in just one visit. Fantastic experience: Wow this lady is the absolute best, no question! Her expertise and the technology used to get the best results, are unmatched by any other dentist, or dental surgery I have ever seen and will find anywhere in Brisbane, or most likely in Australia. I would rate Mirela as the “best of the best” when it comes to dentistry. As you will see, when you walk into the surgery (situated in the awesome, nostalgic “old Ithaca fire station” at Paddington) the walls aren’t high enough, or long enough for all her training certifications and qualifications, from the last 20 odd years or more, to fit. I knew as soon as I walked in, that these were the right people for the job. Mirela and her staff are super professional and lovely to deal with, and the greatness of this dental practice is Mirela, and only Mirela, does all the dental procedures, so you’re being taken care of by the expert herself, not a subby practising under her name, getting experience at your expense. Let’s face it, no one really likes having to go to the dentist, it normally means there’s problems, and it can get costly sometimes. So to get the “best of the best” of dentists, go to Herman Dental and get it done “right the first time”, and then get on with your life. 5 stars from me, no hesitation. Fantastic experience: I started my orthodontics with Mirela at Herman Dental in 2010, as I had very crooked teeth. Mirela recommended an upper splint to begin with and after 4 months I had a full set of upper and lower braces. It is not only about braces for straightening the teeth but also about chirodontics, levelling the maxillary plane, and healthy TMJ. Mirela is very thorough and after monthly adjustments, I completed my orthodontics at the end of 2012 and now I have upper and lower bonded lingual retainers and full arch night time retainers. Now I have the perfect smile and it was a great experience. Mirela has now removed two wisdom teeth, practically pain free. With regular x-rays to monitor the others, my previous orthodontic work will never move. The staff are so helpful and friendly ,they always give a reminder about your appointments. I thoroughly recommend Herman Dental to everyone!

Fantastic experience: I've had a few dentists and Dr Herman is the one who's approach I like the most. I'm very satisfied with her work and the results. She is highly competent and knows what she's doing yet is approachable and calm at the same time. Her manner is to the point but soft and considerate. The premise is a good mix as the practice room is modern, clean and clinical, while the waiting area (and actual building) I think used to be a fire station!

Fantastic experience: Mirela Herman is the best dentist I've had. She is very gentle and caring. I had an absolutely amazing experience, staff is great, and very professional. She makes going to the dentist painless. I was afraid of going to the dentist until I came here, now I look forward to my appointments.The office looks nice and clean and they were able to book me in a short period of time. Fantastic experience: Dr Herman is amazing! Some people here comment about having to wait or not getting enough "attention" Well where don't you have to wait? Dr. Mirela has been looking after our whole family for years now. With that in mind it was no small feat taking us all on with all our dental needs. Her professionalism, dedication and kindness are to be commended. We have always been very pleased with her work and will continue to have her as our family dentist. So if you're looking and haven't found your own family dentist yet, Dr. Mirela is amazingly talented and her doors are always open to new clients. Five Stars!

Negative experience: My experience here was quite negative due to the very long waiting periods the dentist, Mirela has. She books in about 3 patients at one time and does not seem to focus on any of them properly. This seems like a 'cattle herding' tactic used to save time for her - rather than giving one patient a specific time slot, she prefers to make more money by treating several patients at once. Usually has about a 45min waiting period, you get ushered into the room, then more waiting before she actually starts. During this time she'll go in and out of the room to check up on the other patients. It took 2hrs for a general checkup, x-ray and clean - something that should have only taken 30mins. It also took another 2hrs to do 1 filling(I had to wait at least 20mins after being given the anesthetic before she even began my filling) . I'm not sure how her work is, we'll see in future how the fillings go and whether they do last. The only good thing is that the assistants are nice, although one incorrectly charged me for something that I was already covered for by my health insurance - they didn't read the policy card properly.Honest mistake, but still annoying to have to wait for a refund. My advice is please don't use this practice unless you don't mind waiting a few hours to get a simple procedure done!

She is extremely qualified through her knowledge and certificates displayed in her surgery. The equipment and treatments are all 5 star quliaty and up to date. I would definitely reccomend her services..

Fantastic experience: This Dental surgery is the best dental surgery I have ever been to! anyone who thinks other wise is wrong. if i ever need work done again i will always go to Herman Dentistry. hopefully one day my child will be good enough to work such a high standard of workplace. anyone who thinks this outstanding workplace is not to standard should reconsider there views on everything. mainly because they are wrong and Herman Dentistry is the best dental surgery in Brisbane if not the world.
