Fantastic experience: Have not been to a dentist for about 20 years. First time there. Smiles are us I would strongly recommend. Wonderful caring staff from reception to the hygienist to the dentist. You are very friendly and caring. I would recommend this business to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Our 3 children have been visiting Smiles are us for many years. My two older children have needed braces/invisalign. Elisha has been seeing my children for a while. She decided to remove a few of my son's baby teeth to create room. Approx.18 months later he no longer has a cross bite or crowding. He will also not medically require braces. I am so grateful for the preventative action Elisha took. She is a true gem with a kind and caring approach.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended A++++ Let’s face it no one likes going to the dentist and after a bad experience a few years ago with my previous dentist I was feeling nervous but the team at Smiles R Us were fantastic. Peter took the time to explain everything, both he and his assistant Eva went out of their way to make me feel at ease and after the initial injection my tooth extraction was completely pain free. Really affordable too with extras cover - only $70 out of pocket!

The receptionists the dentist and her assistant were all so friendly and warm to my daughter, they made her feel really comfortable and it was a positive experience for her overall. Negative experience: Just got rudely hung up on while trying to make an appointment, I wasn't even told why, just instantly. My behaviour was polite and civil and did not deserve this response. While the treatment I received at the practice previously was decent, this sort of attitude from the reception staff is abhorrent. Not much good if you have fantastic dentists and cannot access them due to rude Front of House staff!

Fantastic experience: I've been living in Adelaide for 5 years and have always seen Dr Nathaniel at Smiles R Us on Marion Road during that time. I have been looked after so well; I've never had to pay a gap and everyone has always been so kind and caring towards me, from the Latino dental nurse who offered to give me a hug when I was emotional to the girls on reception who are efficient as well as caring. I've recommended this surgery to my friends and now I'm recommending it here!

Negative experience: I was visiting to Dr Diana. I have some issues my gum and she suggested me to cleaning teeth can helpful. But after cleaning my teeth one of my teeth is start wobbling. It’s been one week, I am still filling teeth very sensitive and hard to bite. I am not a professional but my understanding the way they clean teeth is like we are dummy.

Negative experience: I show my son to this clinic every year..and every time after first examination they say that he needs filling in his baby tooth..today we went for his filing appointment and the receptionist told us that some lady called in the morning and cancel the appointment..I asked my wife to send her call details and I show the receptionist her call details..after that they said the appointment was at 4oclock and I told them that it's at 4 30 and someone from the clinic confirmed the appointment, Really had bad experience with this clinic.. Pathetic customer service....I won't advice anyone to take there kids to this clinic

Positive experience: I had 11 Amalgams removed by Dr. Nathaniel. Pro's: professional, skilled, experienced dentist + assistant. Personal care, quite detailed communication, and access to his mobile (a rare thing these days, but so helpful!). He allowed me to call him on a Saturday after 5PM to discuss details for my trip to come and see him. I chose him as he was one of the few to sent a personal quality email back with a reasonable, even good, price, and after speaking with him on the phone I was certain that he was the one I wanted to have for this imho major procedure. Nathaniel and his assistant are patient, helpful, and I am quite happy with the end result. 2 Photo's from before (not all Amalgam's shown) + 4 photo's from after attached, one for each quadrant. You also see the blackness on tongue which is the activated charcoal. Note to anyone who considers having this (imho dangerous) procedure - i.e. the removal of old Amalgams - please consider (but do your own research - not medical advice) taking plenty of Vitamin C + Activated Charcoal before and after the procedure. Especially after as Activated Charcoal (which is also used in hospitals for poisoning) binds really well with Mercury. In total I likely had about 50 grams of Activated Charcoal over two days, most of it after the procedure. Dr. Nathaniel allowed me to rinse in between the 4 quadrants of my mouth (which were all done in a 4 hour session with a separate rubber dam for each quadrant and breaks in between each quadrant) - i.e. went to the bathroom and as good as possible (numb lips!) rinsed with activated charcoal. It's a bit of a mess, but it cleans really well from sinks etc. just wipe it with a tissue. I used the Schizandu hardwood activated charcoal powder from Amazon. If you're worried about your procedure or have questions feel free to email me at roel at vandepaar dot com and I will be happy to have a chat. Just email again if I do not reply in 1-2 days. Also if you notice that the rubber dam is leaking (i.e. you get fluids into your mouth), you are fine to stop the dentist and ask that they fix the rubber dam. As for small opportunities to improve (and some of the reasons for 4 not 5 stars); a little bit more instructions would have been helpful during and before the procedure (for example an information sheet beforehand, and/or instructions on how to breath through the nasal air tube which I found hard, though I could have asked). Had to ask to cover my clothes (which I think is part of S.M.A.R.T. protocol by default), and head was not covered except regular dentist glasses. Some of the instruments seemed bit older or well-used/stained. I also would suggest for them to use a checklist to make sure all things are in place (complex procedure - so best to have a checklist to quickly run over before each quadrant). All in all, a positive experience, and I consider Dr. Nathaniel a qualified dentist. Also noteworthy is that I have near zero discomfort today (the day after) except for some light sensitivity to cold in the teeth (to be expected). That says a lot imho. Note that dentists are taking significant risks (Mercury vapors etc.) each time they help a patient with Amalgams. That seems to be noteworthy and to be a very worthwhile cause imho. Thank you very much Dr. Nathaniel, and the assistant, as well as the team at Smiles are Us. May God bless you all. UPDATE: 3 weeks later: regrettably, on both sides of my mouth, it feels (since the removal of the amalgams) painful while eating and the teeth are sensitive to cold. There must be some issues with the fillings. Dr. Nathaniel kindly offered to review them, but the drive is too far. I will wait till the new year (reset of health fund allowance) and then go to a local dentist to get it fixed up. Depending on the outcome of that I may update the review again later. UPDATE: a year later: the pain really settled down shortly after a minor flattening was done by our local dentist, and that really cleared everything up. Very understandable with 11 amalgams removed, and overall happy with Dr. Nathaniel & Smiles Are Us!!

Fantastic experience: Visited March 16 to see a dentist due to a molar ache. Based on other reviews, I also went to see Dr. Diana. She was amazing! She's easily one of the best dentists in my opinion and I recommend her especially for folks with dental anxiety.

Both my husband and I had mercury fillings safely removed and replaced and his processes were such that we knew we were in safe hands. Fantastic experience: I am a dentist myself and recently needed a filling. I had never experienced injection in my mouth before. I visited Dr Nathaniel for a filling to be done with Laser. I had an amazing experience. Didn’t feel the injection in my mouth- he was very gentle. And filling is going great too. I would recommend Dr Nathaniel and his team to trust with your mouth. He is genuine and very knowledgeable and motivated dentist. Dr Nathanial is constantly learning more to keep up with his knowledge and skills. And if you want mercury filling removed - he is your guy- as he follow a Safe Mercury Amalgam removal technique (Smart)- really smart right :) Whole team at clinic is great and makes you feel comfortable. Fantastic experience: found this place by accident . i have fibro so pain is very high . the lady dentist was so kind and gentle i was able to have a clean which i could never have before for the pain . i also had fear of the dentist from child hood stuff . now i can really like this place and staff are very kind as well . they have essential oils burning so you feel calmer awesome my mum had a tooth broken by an other dentist would would not take it out he sent her away . i sent her to this place and they were so good with her they spent hours working on her till 9 pm at night and the staff did not complain that we were there so late they even got me a cup of tea while i was waiting .the dentist was so good with my mum even ringing up her chemist and nursing home araging things for her . he even helped us into the car after wards . they went above and beyond with us and i am so happy we found this dentist
