Negative experience: Their booking system is a mess. Last time, they booked me into the wrong clinic. This time, they scheduled me for an appointment when the doctor wasn’t even there—despite the fact that I was supposed to see him. I traveled an hour for nothing. On top of that, the appointment book is always full, and it’s always difficult to find availability throughout my entire treatment.

Fantastic experience: amazing service and staff

Negative experience: I didn't want to write this review, but since I now have to spend thousands of dollars to reverse the damage they've done, I want to warn others. They do not take proper care. Rushed me out every time. It's like the Amazon warehouse of orthodontics. I am having airway issues because of the orthodontist's misjudgment. That in itself is actually fine--as that is what we sign up for as clients: the risk that the orthodontist won't be able to predict exactly what might happen. What I do not like about this place is that every time I asked a question to my orthodontist (who I barely saw after first consultation), I was shut down and made to feel stupid. It turns out that every question I asked was completely valid and every single concern I had--if addressed, would've saved me from struggling to breathe daily. Even when I began to ask questions about premolar extractions (which is a big deal by the way), he made me feel excessive and dumb. The extractions are now what has narrowed my palate, restricted my airway and worsened my TMJ. If you are an adult considering orthodontics, please go to someone who will do a proper assessment, listen to your concerns with care and compassion. It will save you in the long run. I have straight teeth now, but my entire face is collapsing.

Having previously undergone orthodontic treatment that was unfortunately incomplete, I was very careful in choosing the right specialist and I’m grateful a family member recommended her to me. From start to finish, the entire process was exceptional. The doctor’s approach is incredibly gentle. She communicates clearly throughout every step, ensuring I always knew what was happening and what to expect. Scheduling was also very easy — her team was flexible and always managed to accommodate my working hours, which made a big difference given that I live and work in the western suburbs. Despite the travel to Blackburn, it was worth it for the outstanding level of care I received. Doctor Yadav is also very well connected and was able to send me to the right gum specialist along the way. The treatment was completed within the quoted timeline and on budget, with no surprises. I am very satisfied with the final result. The post-treatment follow-ups have been just as impressive, with ongoing care that shows Dr Yadav’s commitment to her patients’ long-term satisfaction. I can confidently recommend Smile Avenue to anyone considering orthodontic treatment. Just exceptional !

Negative experience: Wow!!! What an experience…. Duty of care and responsibility are important when choosing a practitioner especially when your kids are involved. It would be my suggestion that you choose an alternate practitioner because you never know when complications arise and you want to make sure that your practitioner address’s these promptly and does not avoid or fail to take responsibility for these.

Fantastic experience: I recently took my daughter to Dr. Juhi for her orthodontic treatment, and I am very happy with the results and the experience. My daughter had an open bite, where her upper and lower teeth didn’t touch when she closed her mouth. This was affecting her speech and eating, and other orthodontists said she might need jaw surgery. Dr. Juhi’s use of TADs to fix my daughter's open bite without surgery has made a huge difference. My daughter’s teeth now fit together properly, which has made her more confident. I am very thankful I highly recommend Dr. Juhi to anyone needing orthodontic treatment.

Negative experience: Staff are friendly and helpful but they are just a worker there. I am unhappy with my teeth and with the treatment and feel sick of this because took me nearly 5years to follow the treatment, it make my teeth become so sensitive. I feel stress each time visiting , my teeth poiting out and gap between up and lower teeth, bite is not correct, they kept fixing but still don't know how to do.I tried to tell but no one listened to me and they keep said they can't do any more and look like I come to make a trouble for them. I paid to get his treatment but sometimes he didn't look at my teeth and tell assistance do the job. I had a bad experience in this place. After the brace off I don't want to come back for my appointment anymore, stress too much and I waste my time and money in this place .

Fantastic experience: I was very happy with my experience at this orthodontist even though I DIDN’T get braces. I thought I needed them but Dr Sachin kindly took the time to explain the processes of what I needed instead. All the staff were lovely, from the friendly welcoming receptionist at the front desk, to the nurse who was very gentle when she was taking the scans and of course, Dr Sachin himself. The facility is very light and clean with state of the art equipment. Everything was complimentary for the first visit. They even sent me all the scans and X-rays at no cost!! Very rare these days. I completely understand why this business has such an excellent reputation.

Fantastic experience: I have recently completed my orthodontic treatment with Dr Sachin. At the start of my orthodontic treatment, I have specifically mentioned that I'd like to avoid extractions on my canines as I'd like to maintain my smile. We started the treatment, and reviewed the options mid-treatment. Still adamant on not wanting extractions on my canines, Dr Sachin recommended to put an anchorage device to ensure my bite aligns perfectly. I went to my local dentist for my clean during my orthodontic treatment, and he was in awe with the anchorage device that he requested to continue my check up for 10 minutes longer just to learn more on the device. On top of Dr Sachin going out of the way to still get the perfect teeth while respecting my wishes, the team at Smile Avenue overall is amazing. They always manage to schedule an appointment ASAP whenever the wires were poking me, and is overall very warm and welcoming. They even helped me settle my baby when I was on the chair! I would definitely recommend Dr Sachin, Dr Juhi & their team as I'm in love with my smile!

Fantastic experience: I'd like to thank Dr. Sachin and the team for my orthodontic treatment. Dr. Sachin went above and beyond to help with the hiccups I had after the treatment. I'd be foverever thankful.

Negative experience: In 2019, I referred to Dr Juhi Yadav, (a specialist orthodontist at Smile Avenue) to fix the space between my front teeth. She was confident that she could help me, however she mentioned that if a little space remained, it could be fixed later. In the third or fourth session of treatment (I can't recall, but I believe it was after starting the job), Dr Yadav mentioned she was unable to finish the job (as she was moving overseas). However, I was unhappy about this situation and if I knew before starting the job, I would prefer not to work with her, Dr Yadav assured me that the replacement dentist (Dr Sachin) is one of the most skilled specialists and I just trusted her. Unfortunately, not only was I subjected to the inappropriate and unprofessional behaviour of Dr Sachin, but he was never able to fix my teeth properly (despite multiple referrals over three years). In the end, I thought I had no choice but to wait until Dr Yadav herself returned from overseas. on 13/06/2023, I visited Dr Yadav, and she confirmed that the treatment had not been fixed and the job was incomplete (the space between my teeth remained open and now is the place for congregating contamination). Dr Yadav advised me that she would send me (with a recommendation letter) to the other practitioner to fix some of the problems (which I must pay for that) and then I also need to owe her to fix the rest of the work as well. However, I thought it is not fair that I still need to pay for an incomplete job that I have already paid in full, I tried to understand and wanted to help to resolve the issue. But she never got back to me and did not provide a recommendation letter to refer the other dentist. I am in the process of complain against them to the Health Complaints Commissioner.

Fantastic experience: I got braces during COVID and I've been meaning to write a review ever since ! Dr sachin's attention to detail and professionalism has changed my life. Seriously my confidence sky rocketed since getting braces. The process was supportive and pain free. (Apart from the first month !) Unfortunately I couldn't finish my treatment here as I was stuck interstate during COVID , but I often look at my smile and feel grateful for the excellent service I got here. Braces as an adult are embarrassing but worth it !

Fantastic experience: Smile offer to help out without any charge when my daughter's brace fall off and wire pop out cut inside her mouth. I call up no. Of orthodontics either they aren't offer any help or they requested for a charge $80+. Just want to say 'Thank you' to Smile avenue help on a Saturday morning emergency, yours service is highly appreciated. I would recommend anyone who is considered orthodontics treatment, I'm sure you will be in good hands.

Fantastic experience: I am so thankful for Dr.Sachin Agarwal's work. He has done an amazing job with my daughter's teeth. Her case was not a straightforward one, and after being told by three other orthodontists that she had to have many teeth removed, it was so relieving and refreshing to hear that Dr.Sachin Agarwal did not agree with them and managed to save all her teeth. In particular, he was able to save an impacted tooth that had not come down from the gums, as well as organise for it to be done at the practice rather than at the hospital ( expensive!). Fantastic experience: Couldn’t be happier with the service provided by Dr. Sachin, Dr. Tim and the whole team at Smile Avenue. Really friendly and supportive staff. Smile avenue provided great care throughout my whole process ranging from wisdom teeth removal, root canal treatments and orthodontic braces. I’ve gone from being extremely self-conscious about my teeth and I can’t stop smiling now I’ve had my braces removed and very grateful to the whole team. If you’re thinking about having dental and orthodontic work done I can’t recommend Smile Avenue more - you won’t regret it!
