Fantastic experience: Best Dental Clinic in town, can’t recommend them enough! My husband had a great experience with CDC and urged me to book an appointment - I’m so glad I did! To start with, the reception ladies are super friendly, welcoming and efficient. They made me feel looked after the moment I walked into the clinic, which is beautiful with an inviting atmosphere. Taking the time to explain everything to me clearly and gently, Dr. Mateus demonstrated his professionaism with his empathetic nature. Fortunately, he found a few pressing issues I wasn’t aware of previously. Biggest ticket item: I had to bring my 10-week-old baby to the appointment, which made things a bit tricky, but Dr. Mateus accommodated the situation so well with patience and genuine care - making me feel at ease. What could have been a really difficult experience turned out to be a wonderful one, I left there with a big smile (very clean btw!) Hannah, his dental assistant was also wonderful! By chance, I met a kind man at the grocery store who turned out to be Dr. Mateus De Mello. I mentioned I was in need of a new dentist, particularly given my complex medical history, and that conversation led me to the clinic. From the first phone call with Lisa at reception, I felt reassured. She was incredibly friendly, caring, and went out of her way to be accommodating. That warmth set the tone for everything that followed. At my first appointment, Dr. Mateus greeted me with genuine happiness that I had come to the clinic. His attention to detail, holistic approach, and carefully considered management plan made me feel truly cared for. He listened with empathy, explained everything clearly, and worked with me in a way that gave me complete confidence in his care. Hannah, his dental nurse, was equally wonderful—supportive, kind, and such a natural part of the fantastic team alongside Dr. Mateus. Negative experience: I moved to the Gold Coast from Toowoomba, and went looking for a new dentist. My Toowoomba dentist was amazing. This place was disappointing, my family didn’t receive a proper teeth clean experience like they have in the past, was charged for an item which they didn’t receive and I then needed to organise to have records corrected, and now I’m looking for a new place that does a proper teeth clean and teeth check. Please remember to ask this clinic for an itemised receipt, because you won’t receive one unless you make a specific request.

Fantastic experience: I have of recent time had some major medical issues and have put off attending the Dentist due to fear and unpleasant experiences in the past. From the moment I walked into the Practice I immediately felt a sense of calm ambience and safety. I initially saw Shaun who was amazing and who identified exactly what I need to have done moving forward. I had a complete dental review and clean and felt comfortable through the entire consultation. I required having a tooth extracted which was extremely confronting however I saw Mattaeous for this procedure, he explained everything to me step by step and he ensured at all times I was comfortable throughout the entire the extraction. I cannot recommend Coastal Dental Care, Bilinga to anyone with or without a fear, the entire Team were exceptional. I would like to especially mention Lisa who facilitated my appointment. Fantastic experience: I have always had a big fear of going to the dentist, normally choosing full sedation. I was recommended to go to Dr Mateus and so glad I did. It was a really great experience, there was no rush, all my dental work was explained in detail and I appreciated the level of care around my high levels of anxiety. The dental work itself has been great, Hannah and Dr Mateus are a great team. Lisa has a warm and welcoming presence when coming into the clinic. I had call backs to check in how I was going a few days later, so the support is there through every step of your dental experience. I live mid Gold Coast and worth the drive down.

Fantastic experience: As a person who has a genuine real fear for dentist's, Dr mateus and his assistant Hannah were absolutely brilliant. From reception to staff the experience was pretty good overall. They take the time out to actually get to know you and find out who you are and what your story is. Bedside manner was phenomenal . I'd be lying if I said I was looking forward to going back to finish off what needs to be done but at least now I know what I'm in for and who I'll be dealing with, which makes the experience that much easier and better. Fantastic experience: last week i got my wisdom teeth out with Dr Nav and it was a really great experience (well, as good as a wisdom tooth extraction can be probably lol). Dr Nav was super knowledgeable and calming, and was able to reassure me throughout the procedure because she could tell i was nervous. amy was a really lovely nurse as well, such lovely energy! i would definitely recommend this practice and Dr Nav for any wisdom teeth issues!

Fantastic experience: Life savior for my trip started with such a bad toothache. Mr.Sean and Dr. Mateus were the most attentive medical professionals I’ve ever met and really tried to hard to help my pain with the best care. The first root canal treatment in my life couldn't be any smoother, easier and, of course, painless thanks to Dr. Mateus explaining every single step of the procedure. Thanks to the receptionist Lee for the kindest help as well. Strongly recommend this clinic!!!!

Negative experience: I went in asking if there were any available appointments. They said for they had one for the next day. I said I just need to book in for a temporary filling as dad is a dentist in n.z. and am going there in a few weeks. I asked how much this was. They said $140 and a consult was $70. They just tried to sting me with $288 absolute rought!!!! Please be careful with this place. In response to your response... The Dentist decided actually a permanent was best after I asked her if we should do a temporary filling not that that was the main issue. When I asked why it was $288 they told me it was because it was an emergency appointment. Which I then had to dispute as this was not the case. I am just wanting people to be aware of this as some people might not feel comfortable disputing it but also the extra $70 could be someones food for the week. Running a business myself ripping people off is not ok

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Coastal dental care. I was recommended to see Libby when I first moved here 4 years ago she is kind, understanding and professional. She has got my teeth into the best shape they have ever been. I have also seen Mateus who did a wonderful job with my implant crown and my children go to both Clare and Libby. I must add that Lisa on the front desk is the most professional and friendly manager I have ever dealt with. My family will never go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: Coastal Dental tugun is a fantastic dental practice. The assistant/receptionist/manager is friendly and knowledgeable and will endeavour to provide timely appointments and also schedule emergency appointments as quickly as possible. She also has excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, the thoughtful communication means you never forget an appointment and private rebates are immediate for preferred funds. The use of Medicare is also available and effortless (always be considerate and let them know you are using any benefit schemes prior to the appointment). The dentists are professional and caring. My whole family uses this surgery and the kindness and patience with children is exceptional. Dr Claire is especially thorough, and a calming presence around children. My children always feel safe and comfortable attending their appointments. I have used many of the services for myself, including cleaning, whitening and general dental and have always found the treatments to be comprehensive but uncomplicated.

Fantastic experience: Wow...where to start!? Mateus de Mello and team are absolutely amazing. I had been struggling with pain for several months and had seen my GP and another dentist and none of them could figure out what the problem was. I was referred to Mateus and within the first consultation he had figured out what the problem was and came up with a solution on how to fix it. I was very anxious about the surgical procedure that he was going to perform but he put me at ease very quickly. I could go into more detail but I would probably be writing for days. He managed to solve my problem and explained everything to me in a way that I understood Long story short, Dr Mateus de Mello and team( i dealt with his receptionist, Lisa and his assistant, Hannah) are all friendly, caring, kind, and efficient. I am absolutely blown away by the care that they provided and how he had really gone above and beyond to help me out. You will not regret choosing to use them as your dentist.

Fantastic experience: Dr de Mello had a very difficult task in repairing a tooth that had previously had root canal therapy completed on it (by a different dentist in Sydney approx 5 years ago) which had become infected. He was extremely patient and thorough in identifying the problem and eventually repairing the problem. The process was lengthy but at no time did i feel pain or discomfort. I could not recommend Dr de Mello more highly, he is a wonderful dentist who truly cares about his patients. Thankyou again for being so professional and caring.

Fantastic experience: Just left dentist Dr Matue De Mello & he was so good. I went in with so much fear but that is gone now. 2 fillings & no pain at all. I am also very impressed how nice he was to Hanna, his dental assistant & the lovely ladies at the front desk.

Fantastic experience: Great service, pricing is fair and wonderfully friendly staff. Lisa on reception is always happy to help and always there to remind you of appointments. Dr Libby Cox is fantastic for a dentist, great health fund rebates too, rarely out of pocket.

Fantastic experience: Could not fault the lady dentist or her assistant. I don't think anyone is a fan of dentists or there prices but I felt comfortable and price was very reasonable. A great bedside manner and will continue to use them as my preferred local dentist.
