Dr. Alex is one of the kindest, most caring, and helpful dentists I’ve ever met. I’ve always been afraid of dental visits, especially teeth cleaning since I was a child, but the way he treats his patients is so gentle and reassuring that I finally felt comfortable. My wife and I were determined to find out where he moved, and we were thrilled when we discovered he’s now located on the Gold Coast. Even though it’s about an hour’s drive from our home, we didn’t hesitate—we’re more than happy to make the trip just to continue seeing him. His professionalism, kindness, and the outstanding service he and his team provide are truly unmatched. His staff are incredibly helpful and deliver 10/10 customer service. We’re so grateful to have found him again!!!

Negative experience: I had a tooth filling today, and during the procedure, the female dental assistant told me to swallow my saliva while she held the suction in her hand. She actually said “you need to swallow it because it’s your saliva”. Absolutely ridiculous. Really wanna give a rate of 0 if I could.

Her dental assistant was brilliant too! A big shout out to the reception staff who were so friendly, happy and very helpful. Prices were reasonable too. I’ll be back to get some more work done soon!

Negative experience: Avoid at all cost. I only went in for a filling and they cracked my tooth in the process, now I'll need to pay for a crown out of my own money.

Negative experience: Worst and most unprofessional dentist I have ever come across! Came into an appointment in a lot of pain and asked to be checked out, didn’t even get a hello by the male dentist Richard when I was brought into my appointment, I sat in the dentist chair for less then two minutes of him checking my mouth out and wasn’t given an answer on what was wrong and was sent out to be finished. The only enjoyable experience was the front desk ladies who helped me out with what will help the pain as I was almost in tears and they then recommended me to go and get a proper x ray of my mouth done at q scan and hand it back to the dentist which I did and was told they would ring me back in ten minutes of handing it in and I had to call up myself six hours later to find out what was happening as I was in excruciating pain just to be told there was “nothing wrong” so I went to another dentist the next day who told me my wisdom teeth were infected and needed to be removed immediately. Will never be going back.

Was looking for a new local dentist and found everything I was looking for at Mermaid Dental. Will definitely go back and would recommend.

Negative experience: Worst dental experience, dr lee dentist left after xrays to work on another patient left me in chair for 15 mins then when did clean I had to hold sucker as no assistant then the clean was painful and I started bleeding from cut gums if a minus star was available I would give it that. Manager was also rude. On other hand when sid gubta was there service was great.

Fantastic experience: After not going to the dentist in over a decade my first clean was excruciatingly painful but dr Rhea was very sympathetic. My second clean was much nicer I only cried once. The staff here are so great I can't recommend them more.

Negative experience: The dentist scared me and ask me to spend $600 for an intervention and I refuse when I went to an other dentist he fix my probleme for $130!!! I don't recommend it at all.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic service and paid a lot less than i was quoted by other dentists in the area. They were very friendly and put me at ease which is not easy as i used to be scared stiff of going to the dentist. Not afraid to go back and i recommend them to anybody!
