Fantastic experience: This was far and away the best dental experience I have ever had. I get intense anxiety before appointments and knew I had some problem areas that needed attention. At other places I have felt shame and guilt when speaking with my dentists, however, Dr. O'Sullivan could not have been more kind, comforting and reassuring. I truly felt like we were on the same team working toward a common goal and she made me feel incredibly comfortable throughout the entire experience. As long as I live in Sydney, this is where I will go.

Fantastic experience: Because of some trauma at a dentist 20 years ago, I had not been to a dentist for over 17 years when I went to see Dr Claudia and the team at Darlinghurst Dental. Outstanding in empathy, understanding and professionalism, Claudia put me at ease right away, sent me to an amazing dental surgeon for my other wisdom teeth (?!) who was brilliant - and every time I see Dr Claudia, the front desk personnel and the dental nurses and assistants, I am met with a courteous and gleeful welcome. I feel valued as a patient here. I could not recommend this Dental Practice highly enough. I now go every six months and have done so for the last 4 years!! An outstanding business with people who love their work and are authentic to patients.

Fantastic experience: Best dentistry I have ever been to. Not only are the results excellent but the staff are wonderful throughout, from the dentists to the hygienists to the reception. I have been here several times for general check-ups & cleaning, and also for new veneers at my request. I have also recommended that a friend go here and she is now also a fan. The veneers are far better than the old ones (made elsewhere). I expressed my interest in having the old ones replaced and Dr Rebecca explained the options clearly and objectively, and made everything seem easy and straightforward. Fantastic experience: It's about time I submit my review about Darlinghurst Dental. There is honestly no dentist like them. I was travelling earlier in the year and needed a hygienist appointment so went in for a routine clean. The hygienist was excellent and very thorough and informative and alerted me to something she was worried about so then I saw Dr Frank Farrelly for a check up and xrays. I needed some work done so was booked back in. I was always nervous about dentists and always had anxiety associated with it and to my amazement it was the first thing Dr Farrelly discussed with me. It felt like a counselling session and we came up with strategies together for me to get through the work required. He was amazing and put me right at ease from start to finish. The reception staff are also some of the warmest loveliest human beings I have ever met. They asked me if I was OK and were so warm and compassionate and it honestly made all the difference and really put me at ease. I haven't wanted to go to another dentist since but fortunately I'll be back in Sydney in a few months so will be booking back in for hygienist and check up for sure! It might sound weird but going to the dentist was one of the highlights of my trip purely because of how lovely every single person who works there is!

Fantastic experience: I’ve hated going to the dentist all my life and I think today this has changed. Claudia is seriously the best. She is gentle, takes a lot of care and I really appreciate her checking in with me throughout the entire procedure. She takes the time to explain everything and answer all my questions in detail. Everyone from the receptionists, to the assistants are so lovely here and I feel that I’m in very safe hands. Never going to another dentist again!

Positive experience: Came here from canada, and my bracket has been messed up, so I walked in off the street and was told one of two things will happen a: we will fix your bracket b: we will get you a brand new bracket. I was never told about option 3. Nothing will happen. You will see the dentist for 2 minutes, and you will have to pay us a 73$ consult fee. It was very disingenuous had i been told that i probably wouldn't have taken the risk. I was looking for a solution. The front desk lady said they could provide the solutions, but now i am turned away empty-handed. The dentist is nice enough, but she really needs to hammer into her employees about managing expectations because i was told i was going to receive care that i never got. Instead, I got footed a bill for 73$, very disappointed, and I won't be going back. Update: I was contacted by the manager who gave a feeling of warmth and kindess about the situation they are able to transfer my requsition to another ortho who should be able to help me. Thank you for reaching out I have adjusted my experience and stars because of this.

Fantastic experience: I've been seeing Dr. Frank & team at Darlinghurst Dental since Feb 2016. My dental journey is one of great transformation, behavioural change & critical course correction. I'm grateful to have found a dentist as caring, honest, empathetic & excellent as Dr. Frank! Sharing my story because I'm genuinely grateful. In my early 20s, I had several bad experiences with a CBD practice. Appts felt rushed, info unclear, & bill shock moments instilled a fear & avoidance behaviour, thus sending me down a road of poor dental health. I always wanted straight teeth. My bottom row of teeth were overcrowded, the top front twisting, my smile more crooked, I became more self-conscious & avoided smiling. Invisalign treatment had just emerged. A consult with an orthodontist, quickly dashed that hope when learning the high costs involved. But fixing the newly formed cavities with a dentist before commencing, as you can guess stopped me. The fear & avoidance behaviour blocked me. It's also my fault I didn't try harder to overcome my mental bias. After 7yrs avoiding the dentist, one morning I woke up with an excruciatingly painful toothache. Desperately searching for help at 4am, I found Darlinghurst Dental. Shocked to see a comprehensive list of treatments & costs, with no hesitation, booked an emergency appointment. I got a call not even 2hrs later that morning from Shannon, the practice manager, sympathising with me & offering to expedite my appointment. In a matter of hours, I was booked & treated for an emergency root canal, relieving me of the agonising pain. Dr Frank's friendly & calming demeanour instantly put me at ease; I was in a safe space. His clear & detailed explanations & delicate handling of any pain during the treatment process instantly built trust. The fear & negative perceptions dissipated. Dr. Frank displayed a genuine curiosity & interest, taking the time to understand me, my situation, & the goal of straightening my teeth. He mapped out a detailed path to restoring my dental health first, moving at a pace I was comfortable with & could afford. From a root canal to a crown & multiple fillings, each step forward was carefully evaluated & executed, with all options discussed, always detailing the options, the pros & cons of each, & ultimately the ability to have a choice in your treatment. The dream of straight teeth became a reality with results that exceeded my expectations. My new beautiful smile looked natural & in complete harmony with my face. Throughout the 18-month treatment, my jawline gradually expanded, creating a defined, stronger masculine shape. I couldn't believe this was now me. So many people have commented on my smile, & I love sharing my story of transformation. I always insist they visit Dr. Frank & his team if they need their teeth straightened or quality dentistry. My friends, flatmates, & even my partner, all of whom I have referred, have had the same fantastic experience. I had transformed from fearful, avoidant, & self-conscious to enthusiastic, excited, confident & proud. Most of all, I became obsessed & diligent about maintaining good oral health. Fantastic experience: I initially went to see Dr O'Sullivan as an emergency appointment a few years ago. At quite a distressing time for me she was incredibly caring and empathetic and explained all the options needed to fix my broken teeth. The treatments provided were completed professionally and nothing was pushed that was not needed. Dr O'Sullivan continues to provide excellent treatment to this day and I continue to recommend Darlinghurst Dental to my friends and colleagues.

Rebecca has been fantastic in making me feel welcome, free of judgement, and best of all, well informed about my dental health. Tried Darlinghurst Dental out for the first time recently as it was the closest dentist to my home/work and was thoroughly and surprisingly impressed. I've been looking to find a great dentist in Sydney (originally from NZ) for a while now and have been continuously disappointed, until now. Dr Abela was very kind, thorough, professional and took the time to explain my dental situation in detail and elaborate on all the options available to me. She also followed up a few days post appointment with a phone call which, though maybe considered a small gesture, was greatly appreciated. Fantastic experience: Went in to assess the damage on a giant cavity I had on a front tooth. They filled it in under an hour in the same appointment. The dentist and his staff are top notch. They even accept BUPA over the counter! I can't speak highly enough about my experience! Phenomenal!

Fantastic experience: Frank and his professional, personal team have performed miricles for me! Their empathy is second to none. I was new to Sydney with stained damaged teeth and stage 4 cancer. I now have a wonderful white smile, with brilliant teeth. No whitening agents needed, just hard work by Frank and his assistants. He wouldn't treat me without first consulting with my Oncologist's. My cancer is presently in remission. Thank you. See you in 6 months for a check and clean.

Fantastic experience: I recently took my young sons to see Dr Farrelly for a routine check up. My 5 year old son required a filling & Dr Farrelly made the whole experience fun for him. He explained all procedures to me & he also explained the medical cause of the problem. From a parents perspective Dr Farrelly was very professional & informative and for my 7 & 5 year old sons, they enjoyed their visit & they're looking forward to visiting again. We all loved the modern equipment & the TV on the ceiling!
