Negative experience: I was threatened after writing a previous review, this practice uses scare tactics that are illegal to get you to write good reviews or take down bad ones, I was misinformed, talked into getting crowns (there is nothing wrong with my teeth) had on my plan all thus unnecessary treatment, all for money, when I wanted to change my plan I was told to go elsewhere, I have every right to write this review, I have taken down my previous one as what was agreed to refund my money, there was no talk of me making a different review, so this is it, I have never in my life been treated this way in the way of scare tactics from a business, it's disgusting behaviour and the practice is well overpriced for common procedure like Fillings and cleans. I will not remove this review as it is a new one, do not threaten me again or I will look into legal proceedings.

Fantastic experience: I did LANAP ( periodontics laser treatment with dr Karn and her team in Dental Excellence, they did a very good job for me and I am thankful of all of them. They are all trying their best to get the best results for patient and follow up well, they are all friendly and you feel good once you go there, the Dr, assistants and the receptionist Armita are so nice, helpful and lovely

Negative experience: My honest experience is that this cosmetic dental practice focuses more on sales, then what's in the best interest of their client. My initial new client $199 consult was to ask about teeth straightening options. I came out with a LANAP treatment plan for periodontal (gum) disease for $5,073! If a practice wants you to sign up to their treatment plan and make full payment first, prior to answering your questions, then this is a major RED flag. The verbatim opening response received from my email questions, 'Most of the questions I would have answered when you come in for the pre-consult appointment after you have got appointments booked for the LANAP treatment'. After researching LANAP myself, I sought a second opinion from a Periodontist who offers this procedure and I'm so glad I did. I don't need LANAP as I'm in the moderate stages of the disease and require antibiotics and a deep clean first. I'm also not a suitable candidate for teeth straightening due to severe bone loss from my OPG X-ray. Straightening would make my bone loss worse. I need a series of bloodwork tests to determine other underlying issues from my GP. My $199 lesson from this experience is just because a cosmetic dentist is certified in LANAP, does not mean they have the qualifications to determine the best treatment plan for gum disease or bone loss. Fantastic experience: I brought my daughter to Dental Excellence after a very high quote from another orthodontist. Dr Khan came up with a much better value option that was faster, cheaper and addressed things on our wishlist that were not going to be addressed by the first orthodontist. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I recently underwent LANAP & tooth extraction with Dental Excellence. I am extremely happy with my experience. The clinic is very clean and the staff are highly professional. The dentist was gentle and careful throughout my procedures and took every step possible to reduce discomfort. The after-care information I have received is very detailed and easy to follow. Negative experience: This was the weirdest experience with a dentist I've ever had. I purchased a deal via Groupon. The Groupon price was for a checkup and clean, and was about half the price of what is usually charged. It was valid only with certain dentists on certain days, so I thought that maybe it was so the business could fill spots that are usually quiet. When I arrived and checked in with reception, I was asked whether I wanted a tour of the clinic. I was surprised by this, but said yes. And I was shown every room and machine in the clinic. This made me feel uncomfortable because it was such an unusual practise for a dentist. I was then sat down in the office, where the dentist, using plastic models of teeth and gums, told me all the possible problems that could might be found during an examination, although it was advised that they may not find these things wrong. Then I had the checkup and clean. At the end of the clean, I was told that I needed a further deep clean, which would be done on another day, and would cost $200+. I have never been to a dentist where I've had to go back for another clean - just clean my teeth properly in the first session, for goodness sake! Finally, I was presented with pages and pages of dental work that was recommended, bolstered with scare-mongering tactics - the dentist saying that the work was to prevent future issues, like root canals, that could cost me a lot of money and a lot of pain. I note that the last dental visit I had, about a year ago, said the same issues I have were more cosmetic, and I just needed to make sure I didn't brush too hard - compare that with a recommended $7000+ list of dental work! My gut told me something wasn't quite right as soon as I was given the clinic tour. I won't be going back - I don't trust them. It is a sales-driven practice. Beware!

Positive experience: I tend to only post positive reviews, but I rely heavily on reviews when choosing a dentist so want to be honest. Presented for a chipped tooth/filling. The good: A nice clinic that appears to have 'all the toys'. Staff are friendly enough and professional. Clear and concise communication. Could be seen at short notice. Good location if you want the city (Pirie Street). The 'bad': I'm pretty anxious at dentists so repeated mentions of root canals and crowns, when I declined them already, does nothing except upset me. I also don't understand why crowns are so strongly suggested for teeth that you suspect will need a root canal in weeks/months. The process for 1 filling took a little over an hour, which is longer than I'm used to (sadly I have plenty of experience with big fillings). The nerve block hurt more than any I've ever experienced (again, I've had a lot) and actually made me cry. My final invoice ended up including $130 for a limited exam and single xray, then as I was leaving, I was told I could come back another day for full dental xrays and a comprehensive exam for $79 (new patient offer); probably should have been offered to me earlier (though admittedly I still may have chosen the limited exam). Not a bad practice by any means, just not the practice for me.

Fantastic experience: I had 5 loose teeth and gum & bone disease. I was referred back to a Periodontist which didn't cure the problem 2 years ago and faced the prospect of losing the 5 teeth and a plate. So I did some more research and found Dental Excellence. After lazer therapy and a few splints, I kept my 5 teeth and my gum disease is now gone. Thank you Dental Excellence for your amazing technology.

Negative experience: This was a few years ago so hopefully the questionable way this practice operates has changed. I was told my teeth would all fall out if I didn't pay thousands of dollars to fix it. I went to another dentist and got a second opinion and my teeth are in great condition and have been ever since.

Fantastic experience: Dr Anu Singla is such a gem!! I started off here by finding a Groupon code and thought oh well how bad can a Groupon dentist be?? But ended up becoming a long-term patient because of Dr Anu Singla. I can honestly say that I absolutely hate and dread going to the dentist but Dr Anu Singla is so sweet and caring, even when I haven't seen her in 6 months she remembers every little detail about my life and my teeth. She's great at checking up on problems you may have and always makes me feel so welcome- big bonus that she's available after standard 9-5 hours too as I find it difficult to find dentists that are available past 5:30. Before her, I had a new dentist every 6 months and never settled. 6 months ago I had constantly bleeding gums and issues with plaque build up due to being unable to thoroughly clean them because of my behind-the-teeth wires, but she taught me how to get around this. After following her suggestions, I now don't bleed anymore when I brush and my receding gums (worrying for a 24 year old) have slowed down/halted after listening to her advice. Should also add that this place does have Netflix with headphones so you're not just hearing the sound of dental tools and my teeth feel so great afterwards- pain free systems have made the cleaning process so much easier and I have gotten so many compliments on how white my teeth are! The other staff are lovely as well, always happy to see you and are very understanding when you need to reschedule. I think I've found my forever dentist.

Fantastic experience: Like many people I can find going to the dentist an anxiety inducing experience. However, unlike other dentists I have always felt safe, cared for and at peace getting treatment with Dental Excellence. For me it is worth the extra travel time to continue to be seen by them, even though I no longer live or work close by. Thanks to their excellent work they picked up issues early enough to prevent serious problems and they provided me with the teeth education to ensure I knew how to prevent further problems. Despite this being the consequence of my own ill-advised actions they never made me feel any less for not having followed their advice initially. I would strongly recommend them to anyone who has anxieties around getting dental treatment. The staff are competent, respectful, kind, caring, and professional and the office environment is very calming which I have found very helpful and relieving.

Fantastic experience: Very Very friendly front staff and dental hygienist. Netflix with headphones on screen while you have your teeth cleaned! And the best of all, Dr Anu was an excellent clinician. She genuinely cares for her patients and takes time to educate her patients on everything to caring for their teeth. Pain free cleaning, and teeth appears 3 times whiter after cleaning. Can’t wait for after whitening treatment. All in house equipment ready made available to minimise time and cost wastage, have on site X-rays, 3 D printer for caps/crowns and a few more that I couldn’t remember! It’s like a hospital! Fantastic experience: Honestly this was hands down the best dentist appointment I ever had. Dr. Veena was so caring and skilled I had half my tooth filled, with exposed nerve, and didn't feel pain at all. The whole set up at the chair also helps, with Netflix and headphones and all that, really distracts you from the discomfort. Not super cheap, but you can definitely see where the money is going, since the rooms are super well equipped, and the dentists are absolutely top notch.

Fantastic experience: Had my wisdom teeth done yesterday at Dental Excellence by Dr Welyn Gordo. She was amazing I have barely any pain post surgery. She kept checking I was okay during the surgery. I felt I was good hands. I definitely suggest them if you dental work. Karen on the desk was fantastic as well. She explained the wisdom teeth removal and post surgery treatment.

Fantastic experience: I now have had three tooth extractions, 1 molar and two wisdom teeth. I had far less pain this time, using dental excellence, then previously. My mouth is far less swollen. Despite it being a wisdom tooth removal. The staff were kind and friendly. Despite the location being far from my home, I will be returning. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: booked for fillings, because what i had broke and came off. booked and gone then realize that they are not doing the fillings!!! they were blaming me because when i booked, i told them (i wanted fillings done) and i didnt mention that (i want it done because it hurts!!!) either way they gave me another booking a week later to do the fillings for tooth that is hurting so i walked out and went somewhere else to get it done run for your lives

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Renu for a number of years now and have also referred family members. A highly professional and very friendly dentist and her team of clinicians and admin support are also highly professional and friendly.

Fantastic experience: They answered all of my questions and provided me with a lot of information so i could make an informed decision regarding my dental care. They also maintain excellent service before and after the dental work to ensure that are recovering well and suffer no complications. As for the procedure itself, they run through everything that will happen in detail before it occurs and provide you with Headphones and distraction via Netflix as they work, and only speak to you when needed until the end. This makes for a much more pleasant experience than other dentists who try to hold conversations with you during the procedure. By far the best dental experience I have had.

I generally dislike dental appointments so it was also nice to have the choice of watching what was happening (via a tiny camera in my mouth) or zoning out and watching netflix on the screen in front of my chair. overall a good experience so I plan to keep using them.

Negative experience: Terrible experience, terrible attitudes, doesn’t allow customers to ask questions, never coming back. I booked a cleaning which costs me 189 dollars. It only last 20 mins and only cleansed my lower part of teeth. I asked politely and nicely whether the dentist cleaned my upper part of teeth. She got grumpy immediately and said I doubted her professionalism and her ability, and asked me to find other dentists elsewhere. Hey, it is my legal right as a customer to ask questions and give suggestions, not even mentioned I payed almost 200 dollars. Totally not worth 189bucks experience, extremely disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Dental Excellence. I had a great experience (not a word I often associate with a dentist visit) with them. I needed some specialist dental work done and messaged them over the Xmas break. I also messaged 3 other local dentists. I provided preliminary info as I understood the product I required may not be familiar to them. Dental Excellence responded promptly by email, letting me know they were closed but would look into my product query in the meantime and I could make an appointment with the Dentist (Dr. Karn) once they officially reopened after the Xmas break. Out of all the dentists I messaged, they responded most quickly and were professional and knowledgeable. They were able to complete the dental procedure for me before Australia Day. Their rooms are modern and comfortable, their customer service fantastic and the quality of their work excellent.

They are so helpful in providing all the info you need to know about pretty much everything. Dr Kahn and her assistant team are incredible. Negative experience: The reception staff are bullies and I had an awful experience with their so-called friendly staff, and wouldn't ever recommend this practice to anyone. One star goes to the dentist herself and her assistant, but fire the whole front staff. They're revolting.

Fantastic experience: Had LANAP done today, had a few shots during the surgery, however I didn't really feel all of them (thanks to the magic wand and Renu' s magic hand), the entire experience is really great, the team pays attention to lots of details, e.g. Assistant kept tapping me on my shoulder to distract while I was getting the injections. Only having tiny bit bleeding when I get home, no pain, no swelling. I think Renu is highly skilled with this technique.
