Fantastic experience: I’m always so impressed by DB Dental Cottesloe. Dr James Cope and his staff are totally professional yet so warm and nothing is too much trouble. My husband had a toothache and Dr Cope ordered antibiotics and an anti inflammatory before fitting him into his packed schedule a couple of days later. So kind.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this practice , in particular Ms Sanjna Shah my dentist . It's well run so you are never waiting long and the service is so friendly and customer orientated. In an emergency they will make room for you as I have experienced. Combined with their status as a preferred provider for my health fund, its a no brainer.

Fantastic experience: Had an exceptional experience with check up and clean! (Also the booking procedure prior to the appointment. The receptionist was very friendly as well ). I have quite severe anxiety about seeing dentist, and I could feel that I was even shaking a bit when I first walked into the treatment room. The dentist and hygienist were extremely patient, understanding, and considerate. I waited for a bit between the two professionals, and I was informed that the communication between the team was fantastic as well. Overall very very good experience and I would highly recommend the clinic and its services.

Negative experience: On my recent visit about a month ago the doctor's part was very good (the same doctor I've been seeing for years now), but the claim process and customer service was a letdown. The person at the reception processed the claim against the wrong person on our health insurance, and miss typed one of the claim items resulting in higher out of pocket on an item that should have been fully covered. After realizing the issue, I've alerted the practice and was assured they will correct the error and contact the health insurance to rectify the claim as soon as the practice manager comes to the office. After a phone call and an email from, what i presume was the practice manager, telling me the error was corrected, I've realized they have corrected the error on their records without correcting the claim with the insurance or refund of the out of pocket cost. Repeated emails from me went unanswered when asking for clarification. I really wasn't expecting this kind of communication, or the lack of it, from the practice that I've been going to for quite some time. Looking back now it seems like there's no interest in correcting what was obviously their error.

Negative experience: I thought I would try this DB Dental clinic as I had to do a project in Cottesloe and it was therefore convenient. Previously I attended DB Dental in Perth and the service there has always been good. Now, back to DB Dental Cottesloe - the reception ladies were courteous, friendly and professional. Then saw the dentist James Cope, who was late. He appeared knowledgeable and capable - and did look at my background history, which I appreciate. However, it was the most painful and uncomfortable dental cleaning procedure I have ever experienced which James attributed to his thoroughness compared to other dentists. (Note: I have dental cleaning every 6 months.) James was also chatting away with the nurse about other people (unrelated to me or the dental work) while doing the dental clean on me. Then, I got billed for the cleaning, scaling, etc plus "debridement" of 4 teeth. I was not informed about the latter, nor did I know that it was ever performed. After raising those extraneous charges with him, he dropped them from the bill after writing me a nasty text msg. All up, a hugely disappointing experience for me. I do not find the way James Cope practises dentistry to be ethical or professional.

Fantastic experience: I attended to receive treatment for a broken tooth and oral sedation was necessary due to a previous horrific Dental appointment in my home country. I was honestly terrified about the whole procedure and very nearly cancelled. I am now home and whilst I'm in a normal amount of discomfort I have to say the team were fantastic. Everything was explained along the way and I felt ZERO pain throughout. Dr Fell was fantastic and the reception team are , even calling me at home to check in with me. Thank you so very much.

Positive experience: Everything has been good except that the temporary dentist, Arvinda Singh, who put in a plastic filling, did not record that my 2nd May appointment was to do with that tooth - not an annual clean. I had to tell that to Sanjina. It turned out ok, but I thought I'd better point out that oversight.

Positive experience: I did ring the next morning to make another appointment for the next day to have the tooth checked as it was a bit rough on the inside of the tooth...However..I never received a reminder but did ring at 8.30am that morning but there wasn't an appointment for me so I have had to book for next week...I am not sure how that happened.

Fantastic experience: This is the place to go. Highly recommended. I went to extract the roots of my tooth after failing to get that done completely elsewhere. Dr Adam was fantastic. He was gentle and professional. The nurse was also great, she supported my jaw with her hand as the dentist pushed down to extract the root. That feeling of support was really good. And the front desk?...5 stars!!!! They called the day after to follow up on how I was doing. So good!!

Fantastic experience: The team at DB provide exemplary service and healthcare. Both the service desk and dentist went above and beyond to address my health care needs. The service desk spent an hour trying to retrieve old x-rays to reduce my exposure to radiation that I had been trying to retrieve for a year. My wisdom teeth extraction was thoroughly explained to me and I was presented with multiple options of extraction methods of which I could choose. All staff were extremely competent and knowledgeable in their roles and I had the utmost trust in their abilities. On the day of my extraction I was given a comfortable separate room to sit in prior and checked on by the service staff multiple times. During the extraction the dentist continuously checked that I was comfortable and not in any pain. I also greatly appreciated how he informed me of what part of the procedure he was conducting (I.e. putting in anaesthetic, using different methods to extract the tooth) I could not recommend this dental practice enough. It is clear that all staff are professional, efficient, compassionate and knowledgeable. After this experience I wouldn’t dream of going to any other practice in Perth.

The lady on reception was so incredibly lovely and patient when my mum was calling for me, they offered me a much cheaper quote then any other place I went and were able to do payment plans when others could not! 100% reccommend and thank you to the DB dental team!

Fantastic experience: I had been going to Dr James Cope for over 5 years with no issues, he is calm and friendly, explains everything well and very thorough in his workmanship. I recently changed dentist due to moving but had a bad experience with pain from fillings which I had never had before. After a couple more visits to that dentist it wasn't resolved so I decided I would go back to Dr James at Cottesloe regardless of the distance. He was shocked at the work that had been done and removed and replaced the filling and I haven't had any pain since! I'm very happy with Dr James and Cottesloe DB Dental and plan to continue to go there for years to come.

Fantastic experience: After a bad experience at a local dentist, a friend suggested i go to see James at DB Cottesloe. I took my 4 year old child and both James and the admin girls were very patient with me and her. This was my child's first dentist appointment and she was a little afraid. I wasnt made to feel bad that we had to take extra time to help her adjust. The admin girls looked after her while I was in with James. And that makes all the difference for a parent. My daughter keeps asking when we are going back to see Dr James and the girls.

Fantastic experience: I was not able to visit my usual dentist as he was on a holiday, so I decided to give DB Dental in Cottesloe a go. I was so happy that I tired them as the experience was amazing! The facilities were great, parking was very easy , the admin staff were great and very kind, and my dentist (James) was very impressive and looked after me. It is very easy to make an appointment and I now use them as my regular dentist and will be going back!

Negative experience: Had been going to DB Dental in Claremont to a great dentist, however one night I chipped two of my front teeth quite badly and he was away and that practice didn't have availability the next morning but Cottesloe did. I have never hated going to the dentist. This time was awful. I was given a couple of injections (first ever - which turned out were completely unnecessary). After a x-ray to check the damage, I was told I was more than likely going to lose one of my teeth (this turned out to be a incorrect reading of the x-ray and completely incorrect advice). I was told that the repairs done to my teeth meant I would never be able to eat whole (ie not cut up) apples, carrots etc using my front teeth because the repairs would not last. I was extremely careful with the repairs yet they fell apart after a week. This time I was I able to go to the Claremont practice to see my usual dentist to re-repair the teeth. This is where I discovered the injections were unnecessary, the x-ray reading was wrong and I would be able to eat apples etc. My teeth we re-repaired (I didn't have to pay for these new repairs) and over a year later my teeth are fine - no thanks to DB Dental Cottesloe.
