Negative experience: Having autism means that my life looks a little bit different to the lives of those without autism. At the end of the day, we are all just doing our best and deserve to be treated with dignity, respect and compassion. These are things I did not receive from my experience with the dentist last week, or previous appointments with male dentists at this clinic. I barely received an ounce of understanding. I am sick and tired of the incessant LECTURING every time I come to this facility. I know I have to brush twice a day, I know I need to floss. I get it! I’ve known since I was 5. But unfortunately, it’s not always possible. Luckily I take great pride in my teeth and haven’t ever received a single filling or needed an extraction. Despite this, I still continue to be lectured by male dentists that do not understand neurodivergence and oral care, how these two are related, and the proper way to treat a patient with autism. I recommend further education and training, or at the very least listen to your patient and have a look at her body language. A 15 minute lecture about oral hygiene before you’ve even seen my teeth, followed by “OH WOW YOU ACTUALLY HAVE AMAZING TEETH” is not acceptable. Thank you to my dental hygienist Megan for the amazing care and support she gave me. She was understanding, gentle, and explained everything from beginning to end and her compassion alone saved me from crying in the chair during my lecture from the dentist. The female dentists here are also fantastic. I’ve seen them in the past and had no issues. I wasnt going to share my experience, just wasn’t going to return. But an automated message asking for a google review felt like a joke. So here’s your review ‍♀️

Negative experience: I had a truly unacceptable experience with Dr. Brandon Hoe. He operated on the wrong tooth — a serious and careless mistake. He initially admitted to the error and apologized, but when I requested a refund, he completely reversed his story and denied any wrongdoing. This kind of dishonesty and lack of professional accountability is shocking. I’m now left dealing with unnecessary damage and expenses due to his negligence. I strongly urge others to think twice before trusting him with his dental care. I will now have to take legal action. Do NOT recommend!

Fantastic experience: For my more than 30 years life, this is the very first time I feel comfortable to visit a dentist after visiting gentledentistry clinic! This is actually my first time to visit a dentist after staying Australia for 10 years, (Finally have the encouragement) and the experience is amazing and wonderful! I was always afraid to visit a dentist due to past bad experiences, but Dr.Goh is really friendly and gentle for fixing my teeth, and well explained everything and discussed with me about my teeth. I am not afraid of visiting a dentist anymore and actually looking forward visiting the clinic again to fix my another teeth :)

Fantastic experience: I was recommended Dr Hoe, through a friend, and was very happy with the outcome. I had a crown that had fallen out before, and instead of pulling the tooth , Brandon made every attempt to keep the tooth structure to prolong the life of the tooth. This is what I want out of a dentist, he also after the treatment sat down and drew a picture of exactly what he’d done, enabling me to have peace of mind and understanding…

My eldest also had her very complicated braces done through them and she was happy to go to appointments alone and knew she was being taken care off. Very happy with them, won't go anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: I was running late because I forgot appointment thanks to my stupidity. I had it diarised but at “am” not “pm” so didn’t get my alerts. Your staff were all fantastic. I got a call to remind me when I was late. Consequently i got there … albeit a little late. Your technician was very gentle and the Dr was very approachable and gentle too. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: My husband Nick and i have nothing but praise for this practise. All the staff from the receptionists to the dentist's are always professional, caring and thorough in the work. Our hygienist Abby and dentist Josh always make you feel calm and explain all procedures to you. I have a problem with my jaw and have to take several breaks. Not once have I ever been made to feel bad about this. Nick is 83 this year and still has most of his teeth. Over the years he has seen many dentists but enjoys going to Gentle Dentistry and feels very comfortable. Thank you all.

Positive experience: Dr Ho is fantastic and understanding of dental anxiety and overall have had a good experience here for my general checkups and cleaning but have been extremely disappointed with my Invisalign experience. When I first got them on, no one explained how the process worked, I didn’t know when I needed to change them or that there was even an app! I didn’t find out till the second appt where I was meant to be three aligners ahead than I was but didn’t know when I was meant to change them. Additionally, I enquired about teeth whitening at a checkup prior to Invisalign and was told that it’s free with Invisalign so I should hold off and do it then, so I’ve waited over 6 months to get my teeth whitened. I had my Invisalign removed last week and no whitening so phoned today to find out it’s a DIY home kit (similar to those at the supermarket or online ads) and if I want the whitening done at the dentist (as originally enquired about) it will be an additional $580 on top of the $5000+ Invisalign cost. I really cannot fault the majority of the staff and Dr Ho as they’ve always been super polite and SO understanding of my anxiety around the dentist which I’m very grateful for. Just very disappointed in the lack of communication around the Invisalign experience, especially given the cost

Negative experience: Wasted time, money and a tooth. They couldn't identify the root cause of a lump on my gum. After being told that it's a root kennel issue, they failed to fix all the roots and made me lose that tooth and spend several grands unnecessarily.

Fantastic experience: Dr Le and her team are great,i suffer from bad dental anxiety and always freak out at the dentist but Dr Le was awesome, i felt no pain at all while she extracted a very difficult/stubborn tooth and fixed up a root canal, i will definitely be returning to have more work done!

Negative experience: I used to be a client at Gental Dentistry Findon . Recently I had an appointment for a checkup and required a filling. At the end of this visit I was presented a bill for $745.00 An excessive amount, that I feel should have been discussed and disclosed before commencement of treatment.
