Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about this dental surgery. From start to finish of my husband’s treatment and surgery the experience was completely hassle-free and genuinely caring. Deb in particular was absolutely amazing – so personable, understanding and compassionate. She truly “gets it” when it comes to dental anxiety, and for the first time ever, my husband actually felt comfortable enough to go back for follow-up appointments! That alone says everything. The whole team went above and beyond to not just make my husband feel at ease, but me as well. There was no judgement whatsoever, even though my husband’s teeth were in poor condition – just kindness, support and professionalism. The results have been fantastic and we’re both so grateful for the difference they’ve made, not only to his smile and overall health but to his confidence too. If you’re nervous about going to the dentist or have had bad experiences in the past, this is the place to go. Deb, Dr Kunal and team are incredibly professional, kind, patient, offering a first class service. Their state-of-the-art equipment made the whole process streamlined, and my multiple dental issues were completed in just one appointment. Three crowns, one root canal all in one appointment! (crowns made on the spot). I opted for sleep dentistry, and it was the best decision—I woke up with everything done, no stress, no pain! Fantastic experience: I had a 30 year chronic phobia that prevented me going to a dentist. I ultimately needed to get 2 front teeth implants from this neglect. I cannot speak highly enough of the team at SomerSmiles. My wife recommended and set me on the path with them. From the beginning the way that Deb navigated the process for me and comforted me in how I could do this. To the work that Dr Nathoo did and how he and his team treated me through the 18 month journey. Absolute professionals. I will always be grateful. Not only did they do brilliant work (and I can finally smile properly) - but they helped me conquer my fear of Dentists in how they treated me at each appointment. Fantastic experience: The experience of going to a dentist is always difficult but here at Somerville Smiles this is not the case. The staff make you feel relaxed and at ease. They are always willing to assist with your questions and queries and nothing is too much trouble. The dentists are caring and always explain what they will do and why. They care about each patient and are quite happy if you call after a procedure if you need. I would recommend Somerville Smiles to my friends and family any time.

Negative experience: Appalling and disgusting behaviour particularly by the owner Deb who will certainly let you know she is the owner !! No customer manner at all and is rude loud and obnoxious.. no wonder they have $99 special to get people in !!!

Fantastic experience: Had to get 2 teeth removed. A wisdom tooth and the tooth right next to it. Although I was absolutely terrified, Dr Kunal had both teeth out within 30 minutes with absolutely 0 pain. It's the next day now, and my gum is a little tender, and that's about all the "suffering" I'm experiencing. Really happy with Somersmiles, and will be coming back for more dental work in future.

Negative experience: If you’re lucky enough to read this review, avoid this place at all costs. Absurdly expensive and in my experience below par dental work. Difficult enough to even get an appointment but if you are unfortunate enough to get one, it will probably be for half the amount of time you have paid for. Absolutely no communication between dentist and patient. You would think that if your 30 min appointment takes all of 10 mins, that the dentist would have a moment to explain and go over your treatment plan with you… instead they are ‘too busy’. They try to squeeze in as many people as possible which ultimately comes at the patients cost. I can assure you that you won’t be leaving this place with a smile.

Negative experience: Dentist was nice but charged me $80 for nothing?? I was there maybe 10 minutes they didn’t clean my teeth or anything just took a quick look and told me to come back later.

Negative experience: Did first visit $99 the. Got quote for 8k no help with finance or anything no follow up call or anything have emailed them many times still no response sorry don’t recommend

Positive experience: Didn't really listen to me when I explained my bad past experiences with dentists, panic attacks and other mental health problems. Follow up phone call would have been greatly appreciated and could have talked me back into going there considering the urgent nature of treatment required but i have since chosen a different dentist. Other than that they're probably great.

Negative experience: My young grandson was traumatised today after being told he was having his first filling and it suddenly turning into a two hour pulpotomy with no discussion of procedure or cost ($600). The dentist left the room several times to ask for instructions on how to proceed which also did not help inspire confidence. The worst aspect is that the school dental van said his teeth were fine. No decay! Now he has a full metal tooth and is severely traumatised for any further treatment (which will not be at Somersmiles). I have to wonder whether any treatment was actually required?

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Kunal, Deb and the Team at SomerSmiles Dental highly enough. Their professionalism and attention to detail is absolutely exceptional. I had a considerable amount of work done, including multiple extractions, crowns and bridges. Kunal and the Team explained all of my treatment options in detail and were able to provide upfront costs for each option to help me decide, as well as listing out the considerations for each treatment plan. Once I embarked on my treatment everything went so smoothly. I really felt like their attention to detail, level of care and communication made the whole process seamless and produced the highest quality results. I am also a bit nervous in the dentist chair, but felt completely at ease and comfortable throughout the whole process. I would recommend SomerSmiles for anyone that wants the highest level of care and outstanding results!

Fantastic experience: I rarely read or leave reviews for places I visit, however my experience at SomerSmiles Somerville has changed that. I urgently needed a badly damaged wisdom tooth pulled but have had terrible experiences with dentists over the years, the staff at SomerSmiles are incredibly helpful and understanding - Everyone from front of house to back are amazingly friendly and go out of their way to make you feel at ease, their professionalism is unmatched and their care during the procedure was outstanding. Also the aftercare was something I didn't expect, but sure enough a quick phonecall from their office the following day to make sure I was feeling ok goes a very long way to show just how much they care, absolutely outstanding service, the dentist is no longer a place to fear. Fantastic experience: Kumal was amazing. I have been afraid of the dentist all of my life and he made it feel like a walk in the park. I definately would reccomend Kumal and Somer Smiles dentistry.

Negative experience: Booked a new patient appointment to receive xrays, clean and check up. When I arrived I was told I would not be seeing the dentist as he is busy. Went through with the xrays and clean with the hygienist who was was informative and nice. However, was told I need to come back to see the dentist, which was strange. Reluctantly came in for the second appointment and saw the dentist for barely 10 minutes and he was quite abrupt. Felt like I should have been informed of this inconvenience prior to booking in the first place.

Fantastic experience: Let me start by saying that I have an extreme fear of being in the dentist chair, even just being in eyeshot of a dentist makes me feel sick. I can honestly say that my experience at SomerSmiles was nothing short of amazing. Everyone who works there were caring and friendly. I opted for the sleep/sedation option due to my fears and anxiety’s around being at the dentist. Dr Kunal took care of all my work, super friendly, clearly explained all steps of the procedure/plan...Everything went as well as it could have and I feel I now have the confidence to move past my fears of the dentist. The team here are wonderful, from the moment you step through the door, you are welcomed into a well set out, calming space and the anxiety drops away. My girls were so nervous, but we had Tess (and your wonderful dental assistant, whose name escapes me) to look after them and so appreciate her hard work to calm their nerves and give them great experiences at the dentist, you have changed the way people consider a visit to the dentist! The team in general all speak to you with such caring and compassion, that you know you are in good hands. We had some issues with our Medicare that had nothing to do with the centre and they still went above and beyond to help us and honestly I hope everyone knows how much that meant to me, on a day where I was struggling and an inch away from a breakdown, you managed to show us so much heart. Thank you and keep going with your vision, the world becomes a different place when caring people take the lead to make it so.

Fantastic experience: I recently visited Somersmiles for restoration of a broken tooth. My dental work was carried out by Tess Fraser, a wonderfully skilled, gentle and caring dentist. Tess explained the procedure and at each stage stepped me through what would be happening next. The procedure was flawless and there has been no after effects, even though the procedure was quite complicated. I would have no hesitation in recommending Tess to anyone needing Dental Care. We will be loyal and regular Somersmiles patients for any future dental work. From Management to the Dental Nurses, service was exceptional and extremely caring. Fantastic experience: My friend Kunal runs the SomerSmile Dental Clinic but please don't take this as a biased review. I drove all the way from Fairfield (Inner City) to see Kunal as I cycle with him at a cycling club regularly. I can say first hand I had the most professional and friendly experience from ALL staff at the SomerSmiles Dental clinic, I left very happy. I would recommend their services to anyone and I will be making the trip up from Melbourne in six months for sure just to see Kunal and his team. Negative experience: Booked in for "$99 – NEW PATIENT WELCOME PACKAGE THIS INCLUDES CHECK UP , XRAYS AND CLEAN" and got a check up and xrays but no clean. If I wanted a clean I would have to book again for a Wednesday!? Of course they don't tell you until the end.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I were extremely worried about our daughter going to dentist due to her anxiety, we tried a couple of places but as soon as I phoned somersmiles I knew straight away my daughter would be in good hands before we had even walked in the door. They invited myself and daughter to met and become familiar with the place first which made a world of difference for my daughter.
