Fantastic experience: Brilliant. The best. I have been treated by every dentist at Herald Ave and one point or another and I’ve never had a bad experience. As someone with a fear of the dentist, I leave each appointment feeling better than I walked it. They are so helpful and insightful and talk me through each step of the way. The ladies on the front desk also make booking an appointment seamless and easy!

Negative experience: I saw Dr Agnes Tan the other day for a wisdom tooth gum infection. She didn't treat my problem but asked me to go to a oral surgeon for extraction. I had to ask her to clean my gum for me as she only wanted to send me away without doing anything. My gum became even more infected and resulted in a locked jaw after her treatment. I had to go to another dentist to sort the issues out and was immediately diagnosed with trimus which requires antibiotics and antiseptic gel. Dr Agnes Tan charged me for over $240 for nothing. I will not recommend this dental clinic at all. It seems like the dentist doesn't have the knowledge to treat her patients properly.

Fantastic experience: Dr Vincent Lim from Herald Avenue Dental Centre has been my dentist for several years. I have always been very happy with the knowledgeable, professional, friendly service and the sound advice provided. Dr Lim has always explained the treatment beforehand and I have always had a positive and pain free experience. Today I had a broken crown and needed an emergency appointment, I was cared for by Dr Joy, who I also found to provide the level of care and service I am accustomed to, and as I have encountered by all staff at Herald Avenue Dental. Negative experience: Saw Dr Joy today for a consult, x-ray and wisdom tooth removal. Whilst removing the tooth the doctor had poked me in the mouth twice with a sharp tool where anaesthetic wasn‘t applied to. At the start there was also not enough anaesthetic injected. Took 2hrs for the removal of a wisdom tooth. Seriously need more practice.

Negative experience: They led me to beleive that I needed 13 fillings because of tooth decay. Only after getting half of the fillings, I got a second opinion from 2 other dentists saying that I didnt need fillings. I feel very ripped off, would not recommend going here.

Fantastic experience: I've had some really terrible dental experiences, it has left me very cautious of getting dental care. In an emergency I went here, they were wonderful, A+ job done - had an extraction of a bad tooth that was a much less stressful event than I have previously experienced at other places. Great aftercare when the healing unfortunately didn't go well.

Fantastic experience: I dislike needles so much I didn't get an epidural when I had a baby. Suffice to say I pulled a face when Dr Vincent said "we're gonna numb you up first". Sure I felt a little prick but it wasn't that bad. Vincent and his nurse made sure I was comfortable the whole 1.5 hours of having my mouth open. It was a pain free experience and I highly recommend Herald Avenue Dental to anyone who may be a bit apprehensive about pain.

Fantastic experience: Having a molar extracted is not everyone's idea of a fun thing to book in; however, if you have to get it done, this is the place to go. I always make a habit of writing a letter to a company if I receive first class service and the Herald Street Dentists are no exception. I was made to feel quite comfortable from the beginning and not rushed when making a decision. Vincent and the ladies who assist (I don't want to mess up the names here but Anika and Elle?) were very personable and gave me excellent advice. I even received a phone call the next day to see how I was going. Think about that for a second. You do not receive service like that anymore in the public sector. Overall, no hesitations in recommending this practice.

So I don't mind going to the dentist now. Dr Vincent is both very friendly and professional. He does have a gentle touch so you are in good hands.
