I was very nervous about removing my wisdom tooth but Dr Michael explained everything clearly and made the whole process surprisingly easy. He took the time to explain everything in a way that made me feel very confident!

Negative experience: BEWARE Of DR MICHAEL!!! My appointment was to have a metal filling removed & replaced with white filling instead HE RUINED MY TOOTH & CAUSED THE NEED FOR A ROOT CANAL & PERFORMED IT WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE OR CONSENT AND LIED ABOUT IT!!! After my metal filling was replaced white filling that evening I felt a throbbing pain the next day I returned he said I had "an infection" & that I would need multiple visits to "drain" the tooth. These appointments felt eerily like a root canal. When finished the tooth looked awful & so much smaller, I was very unhappy and verbalised it and he said he had to do that to stop the pain, I didn't feel at ease with this answer . I have since been to another dentist who confirmed after doing X-rays that DR MICHAEL PERFORMED A ROOT CANAL WITHOUT MY CONSENT AND OR KNOWLEDGE. This tooth is so compromised now I risk loosing it & I have to pay for a crown! When I sent emails with X-rays & a letter from my dentist which included my X-Rays of the tooth he worked on as well as him explaining the tooth is compromised & now requires a crown HE IGNORED ALL CONTACT, STILL NO WORD FROM DR MICHAEL. My current dentist said it looked like he prepped the tooth for a crown so he was fully aware of how much he damaged the tooth. My dentist said he would of shaved the tooth down so much to prevent me loosing it so he was fully aware of how much damage he had caused. My current dentist said that part of having a root canal a dentist needs to explain that the tooth is compromised & to explain how to care for the tooth so you don't loose it BUT all Dr Michael cared about was covering up how he had destroyed my tooth! I have also since learned that if a dentist drills too far into a tooth and hits the pulp of the tooth it is irreversible & the only way to fix the pain is by either pulling the tooth out or performing a root canal. So not only did he perform this root canal without my consent and or knowledge but equally as disturbing HE CAUSED THE ROOT CANAL!!! This tooth was healthy when he started working on it and now my tooth is changing colour, it's integrity is compromised and I am at risk of loosing my tooth if I don't get a crown. I emailed him asking him to make it right, when that failed I said I would have to take legal action but now I just want people to know that this dentist is dishonest, clearly doesn't care as he can't be bothered to respond to any of my communication. Now all I care about is protecting people from sitting in his chair so they don't have their healthy teeth ruined. I also see the last review someone else has also had a terrible experience and that no-one from the clinic has come back to them despite the fact that this practice put this poor person in hospital. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS DENTIST!!!! this initial complaint was placed 2 years ago & front desk responding IS ONLY RESPONDING NOW (June 25)....too late, I just want people to be aware of the dentist who owns and runs this clinic. EDIT 6 June 25 : Yes, you are correct it would take 3 visits for a root canal which is exactly what transpired. See attached screenshots of emails sent in2024 along with new dentists quote and letter which was sent to you in email. EDIT: In response to your email, NO! I live in the USA now & I don't want any contact with you. You had your chance & your disrespectful response about my horrific experience with you is evidence of how unremorseful you are & no it isn't a good root canal as my tooth was brown and i had a crown pit on it at my own personal expense because of your poor work. I don't care what you write from here on out I won't be reading or responding. The proof is also evident that YOU ONLY RESPONDED 2 YEARS later. All I want to do is warn people about you and deter them from your practice which I have now done & am happy. I have a clear conscience unlike you, although given your actions I doubt you have a conscience at all

Fantastic experience: I am a highly anxious person visiting dentists due to past negative experiences. I’ve been going to All Smilez for a number years now. I needed a wisdom tooth extraction - which was a huge fear for me. Michael’s care and empathetic approach has eventually persuaded me to have it removed in the chair with local anaesthesia. Cannot fault the experience and will be a long term client. Never trusted any dentist more and I have to go back to have another wisdom tooth out next year!

Fantastic experience: My family have been seeing Dr Michael Gendy for many years and we have been thoroughly looked after. Teeth cleaning and wisdom tooth removal in the chair under his and his team’s care without any subsequent issues is a testament to his skill and judgment. The staff are so friendly and accommodating with our busy schedules sometimes having to move appointments at last minute. My kids are teenagers and now go on their own i am confident he knows them well and looks after them and Bronwyn at reception rebooks for 6 month check ups at the time of appointment without me being involved.
