Fantastic experience: Best dentist in Sydney and in Northern Beaches! Traveled 45 minutes to get there because it was worth it! The quality of service, the attention to detail was excellent. I’ve got all my treatment done in less than an hour but did not felt rushed. Dr. Sherina listened patiently to all my request and gave me the best options. Prices are reasonable, they also offered payment plans if needed. All the staff is very professional and friendly, felt the whole experience very peaceful.

Negative experience: I do not recommend this practice. I had a filling done by Dr Azin. When I was making an appointment the receptionist quoted a range of $100-300 for a filling, depending on the number of surfaces affected. I was also assured that no new patient oral examination fee would be charged. I then assumed that around $200 would be fair for a simple 2 surface filling, as my case was. This would also have corresponded to the average charge for a 2-surface filling in Australia according to the Australian Dental Association survey. After preliminary examination the dentist did not warn me about the price I would be expected to pay and just proceeded with the job. It took her 20 min to complete. I was unpleasantly surprised, to say the least, when the receptionist told me that the fee was $300. Such a round amount was also unusual. I asked for an itemized receipt but she just gave me my credit card payment slip. A very strange practice with prices a way above average.

I had to have a deep gum clean procedure which I was super nervous about and I cannot recommend her highly enough and I am actually looking forward to having the procedure completed next week. She will now be our official family dentist, grateful to have found her.

Negative experience: The doctor kept trying to upsell me in veneers and crowns in the chair, when I said I just wanted him to fix my cap normally (something I've had done half a dozen times by other dentists) he intentionally did a shoddy job which the other dentist I got to fix it up commented on the poor placement of it. Edit: Their reply is inaccurate and their was no discussion on our call aside from them being extremely hostile and me telling them not to contact me again before hanging up, This should tell you how reputable these people are that they would dig through customer records and then lie about a conversation that did not happen.

Fantastic experience: Dr Sherina has been our family dentist for more then 10 years. She has great attention to details and thorough with her works. We are very happy with her service.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Sherina Palmar is no doubt the best dentist I’ve ever been to (I’m 76 years of age so have been to quite a few!). She is Australian trained and would be perfect for children as well as adults as she has a quiet and soft manner. The equipment at this practise is very much up to date and the receptionists and ancillary staff are caring and efficient. It is obvious that Dr. Palmar truly cares about her patients too with a gentle hand and excellent skills: I highly recommend her!

Fantastic experience: New dentist Erika is amazing. Explained my dental phobia to her. She was very understanding and very gentle. Went through all the options with me and I didn't even feel the needle going in. Each time I have been to the dentist the nurses are always friendly and very compassionate. Also to mention carlota the dental receptionist has a always greeted me with a smile and she's very up to date with what's happening at the practice. 5 star rating to them all.

Negative experience: Decided to give this place a go as it is closer then my regular dentist. Went for a check up and clean. Doctor highly recommended to get 4 fillings, as well as getting lower wisdoms teeth out. Seemed strange as wisdom teeth cause no harm, and had previous dentist elsewhere suggested to leave them as is. Decided to take X-rays back to the previous guy. No issues found, tho hard to see on low quality X-ray shared by staff. Needless to say, can’t get my head around why would someone try to get $1.500-$2000 and get away with it. Not like it’s a struggling industry. Really upsetting, especially after noticing similar comments below. Good luck.

Fantastic experience: Everyone here is fantastic - I was fit in for an emergency appointment the morning that I called and received expert care from Dr Sarmiento - she took great care of me and made practical recommendations. As someone who feels a lot of anxiety especially when going to the dentist I felt right at ease here and in good hands. Will be back again

Fantastic experience: I have always been anxious with going to dentists due to past bad experiences throughout my life with other dentists. I was avoiding going to dentists for the last few years, but recently I had an emergency and had no choice but to find a new dentist. Luckily I found Dee Why Family Dental and Jason Ocampo. I explained my history and my anxiety to Jason; he was very sympathetic and he has done everything he can to put me at ease before, during and after each treatment. Throughout the last few months he's been helping address my years of neglect with the highest level of professionalism, care and comfort. Words can't express how relieved I feel that I finally am getting the healthcare I need from someone I can trust. Jason Ocampo is by far the best dentist I've ever had and I recommend him to everyone without hesitation!

Positive experience: I went to the dentist for consultation to find out how much will it cost me with a gap on my teeth and she recommended me the fix bridge. And finally got my bridges done and it was painless and all done in one appointment which left me very happy and satisfied. Will definitely go back together with my children whenever we need a dentist again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Negative experience: My experience is from a few years ago, so I can only hope the practice has improved since then. I have never gone to this practice since and warned everyone I know to not go here. I had an appointment set to have my lower wisdom teeth removed under local anesthetic. The procedure was approved by the team, upon reviewing my x-rays. Come the day, the dentist (who is mentioned in another low rated review), sets about removing my wisdom teeth. Nothing goes to plan, I hit the limit of 6 local anesthetic needles (with some not being injected properly, spilling over my tongue). After near two hours the dentist is forced to give up as I am in a lot of pain and the last tooth is not coming out. I am left with one tooth removed and the other partially broken/drilled apart left in my mouth. And this practice let me walk out of there, dazed from the procedure and not calling a specialist to help me. The following week was agony, I immediately got an infection. A wonderful practice in the city had to wait a week to fix the mistakes of this practice.

Fantastic experience: I went there for emergency. It was my first time. Explained the situation to them and they really showed me the best service they can offer. Top notch. The dentist and their technician did their very best to make sure i would leave the place with a smile. Even the receptionist is very nice. I'm extremely happy with their service.

Negative experience: It was a terrible service,didn't know how to extract a tooth and my wife has had a sore face the last 7 days.They are more interested in what money they can get from you than the patient.

That was a very quick tooth extraction And I didn't feel pain after numb gone so I was able to go to work the day after. The whole treatment is pain-free. High-quality service. And the price is also reasonable. Highly recommended!

Negative experience: 2 starts because I had good experiences before at Dee Why Family Dental otherwise it would be 1 start. So today I realized how expensive they can be. I have a retainer which is a simple wire behind my teeth that I have to use after I wore braces. One of the ends was poking my tongue as the resin had wore out. 3 minutes(literally) was required to fix it by adding more resin(the same material used in fillings). Guess how much I was charged? $195. Maybe you will say this is the price but I think this is extremely expensive for such tiny repair. By the way, this is the full amount as I've exceeded the dental limit with my health fund. Still a quite pricey. The more they charge the less benefit I have left. Bottom line: not coming back ever again!

Negative experience: my dentist( DR. SANJIV PARMAR) was terrible. poor interactions with me, the assistant was quite and looked nervous. he disappeared for 20 mins mid procedure without any warning or apology when returning. i assume he went to the toilet as i heard his gut rumbling the whole time prior. all he seemed to cared about was racking up my expenses and not my teeth or quality of service. lost my confidence with dentists after this experience.

Fantastic experience: Excellent practice!!! Staff friendly and inviting especially Swati the receptionist. The dentists are very knowledgeable and experienced. I went there recently to get my wisdom tooth removed especially nervous having had a previous bad experience from a different practice. The dentist explained everything and was especially gentle when administering the anesthesia and extracting the tooth. Prices were also very reasonable. Will recommend to all my friends and family.

Negative experience: I arrived early but the Dentist turned up 15mins late for me, the first appointment of the day. I asked her why and she replied sarcastically "oh I'm sorry, did I keep you 10 minutes late?" Needless to say appointment cancelled.

Fantastic experience: I had been having terrible pain from my wisdom teeth, I hadn't been able to sleep for two nights. I called Dee Why Family Dental for an emergency appointment and spoke to the friendly receptionist and she was able to get me in straight away. I was very nervous as I am terrified of dentist however as soon as I got there the friendly staff made me feel relaxed and comfortable. Ended up having my wisdom tooth removed and had NO PAIN during the procedure and afterwards. I have had previously had my other wisdom tooth out elsewhere and I was in excruciating pain for days after however this time I was able to return to work the next day. I want to thank Dr. Parmar and staff for looking after me. I will definitely be coming back! Thank you!!
