Not only has his smile improved aesthetically, but we’ve seen remarkable functional benefits as well. I was given comprehensive advice on how best to treat my ongoing TMJ (jaw dysfunction) The use of advanced laser therapy to address the acute jaw discomfort and muscle spasm helped significantly. The laser reduces pain and inflammation and increases mobility of the jaw joint while preventing scar tissue formation. The experience was gentle, effective and reassuring. Fantastic experience: After recently having an involved dental procedure done at this clinic, I am of the belief it is an extremely professional and ethical dental practice, with patient care their main focus. Dr Nida Parveen conscientiously and meticulously performed my procedure in a thoroughly attentive, caring and considerate way. Beforehand, Korana thoroughly, patiently and plainly explained the entire procedure that was to be undertaken, and made sure I understood. It was a delight to be cared for by Caitlin, for whom nothing was too much trouble. Caitlin generously and comprehensively answered all my questions on the treatment protocols being undertaken. And, I really do believe the laser and holistic treatments used, aided my healing process. Phoenix and Jercyl were unfailingly helpful and obliging in organizing everything for my treatment plan. The front desk staff makes you feel right at home immediately when you walk in the door. The office is run very smoothly and efficiently. I had amazing experiences with Dr Elias Aronis and Daniel Ta, the Dental Technician. They take time to answer questions and I never feel rushed. Dr Elias is a highly experienced holistic dentist and has taken such good care of my teeth. I was overwhelmed with how thorough Dr Elias works. I have been nervous all my life about going to the dentist but when I came to Laser + Holistic Dental, the hygienist Daniel, and Korona made me feel so comfortable. They are kind and gentle and have taken years of dental fears away. They provide recommendations without any pressure. The staff is very helpful and upfront with all costs and services provided. The best dental care I have ever experienced with their progressive dental technologies, and very keen eyes on details. Fantastic experience: I have recently moved to Laser + Holistic Dental after following my amazing dental nurse Caitlin from her previous practice. I had my first check and clean and it was an amazing, painless and quick experience. The staff make you feel so comfortable and cared for and they made sure to address all the concerns I had. Luiba and Caitlin were 2 of the best that have ever worked on my teeth! I feel so lucky to have finally found a dentist I actually enjoy going to!

Negative experience: It is regrettable, to say the least, that I feel compelled to leave a review as I am typically not one to do so, although I personally do rely on others’ feedback to make decisions particularly when it comes to navigating health professionals in a new city. Having initially booked the appointment for painful TMJ issues, I was consoled with a myriad of up-selling techniques for (vanity) procedures that would do little to ease my current pain. After requesting an X-ray to determine the more pressing matter at hand, they suggested I needed a referral to an oral specialist and only when I suggested that we should possibly wait for the specialists report from the X-rays before proceeding with any cosmetic procedures did the dentist sheepishly agree leaving me to feel as though they were clearly more interested in ensuring I locked myself into a long term financial commitment prior to the specialists report. The dentist proceeded to inform me that I only required 1 filling which I had to ask twice ‘are you sure?’ As my interstate (regular) dentist implored me to get 4 done asap. A second opinion at a different clinic last week confirmed this. I’ve had 2 (no show) follow up telephone appointments and yet to get a call back to attempt to book a 3rd time for the dentist to simply call me and provide my records so that I can go to the specialist (and elsewhere). More than $800 for an initial 45 minute consultation and no professional care thereafter. Please, buyer beware. January 2023

Fantastic experience: I’ve never had such a wonderful positive experience with a dentist in my life (57 years young). All the staff here including the administration team are caring and professional. They communicate with each other the client’s needs. The dental assistant and the dentist explain every procedure prior to administering it. They give you options to manage your anxiety as well. I chose the Nitrous oxide (happy gas) which made my experience a relaxed one. (Usually I’m tense & flinch at everything). Liuba showed me my before and after photos and explained what was done and also the Laser clean. I will be back to have done. I highly recommend this dental team to everyone.

Fantastic experience: Every 6 months I have a teeth cleaning at the dentist and this time Daniel took care of me. It was a great experience. I am usually very nervous when I go to the dentist and this time, I was a little more nervous because it was the first time I had a laser cleaning. He explained every step of the procedure and was very patient with me which made me feel calmer, he also stopped every time it was necessary. It was a very good experience.

Negative experience: It's been a while but I wasn't able to give a review. I was treated by Dr. Lisa Matriste. On the start I really trusted her and was happy to have found a holistic dentist. Dr.Lisa totally ruined two teeth that I ended up losing and causing a lot of pain. My overall health has suffered greatly. She only sees the $ but nothing more. She talks a lot but doesn't put it into practice. She charged me much more at the end of what was agreed.She never responded to my emails or phone calls. I just want to warn other suffering people about her.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming laser and holistic dental for more than 10 years. I've had all my wisdom teeth removed here as well as a root canal and cap for my tooth. I've always been very happy with the exceptional care provided and have recommended laser and holistic dental to my extended circle of friends as well.

Negative experience: Don't be fooled by the word "holistic". They are extremely trigger happy when it comes to x-rays. They're not normal dental x-rays either, they use CBCT which exposes you to a much higher rate of radiation. They neglected to inform me of this when they told me my 8 year old daughter needed an x-ray for orthodontic work, and it was best to have it done sooner rather than later. I didn't realise they used the CBCT until later when they emailed me her scans to forward to the orthodontist. The orthodontist recommended waiting until she was older to see if she actually needed any work done. So she was exposed to all that radiation for no reason. I'm so angry as we only started going here because we thought as it was a holistic dental practice, it would be more inclined to avoid all the toxic products traditional dentist use.

Fantastic experience: Laser and Holistic Dental is the only dental clinic I will use for my family. I have had several major treatments and some minor ones over the last four months. Each visit I am treated with a high level of respect and care from all staff members. Dr Su is phenomenal, she has shown so much patience with my nervousness toward dental work and I have finally reached a point where I feel confident in being in the chair! Dr Su, is not only knowledgeable, professional and caring but also deeply ethical in her dental practice. Dr Su, got me out of chronic dental pain and to a point where I no longer require pain relief medication as I have zero pain or sensitivity. I trust Dr Su to also treat my two young children. I highly recommend this practice.

Positive experience: This is no ordinary dental clinic. I have a thyroid autoimmune disease. Prior to being treated here, my antibody count had been extremely high for the previous year. A thorough diagnosis was made with a 3D conical scan of my teeth and jaw. I had deep infection where I had a root canal 9 years earlier. My tooth was removed with lots of care including no fluoride as it is very harmful to my thyroid. As my gum and jaw healed my antibody count reduced from over 1300 to about 200, where it had been a year or two earlier. At all times, all staff have been extremely warm, caring and professional. The standard of care and treatment is well above the average.

Negative experience: Don't bother trying to book online, they take your booking and an upfront payment and then call you to say their booking system isn't up to date and they don't have availability for over a month. The worst first impression for a potential new customer.

Negative experience: I had my teeth cleaned here and they chipped one of my crowns but would not take any responsibility for it whatsoever- I had to have a new crown made eleswhere

She discovered a cyst in my cheekbone that my previous dentist had completely overlooked, which was close to hitting my nerve. Dr Lisa performed surgery on the cyst within the week and saved me from a potential emergency and extreme pain! Couldn’t recommend her highly enough - will be a client for life.

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr Su had a few things done like removal of Mercury fillings and laser clean, im happy with her work very thorough and good at making sure to minimize pain. The first time I saw her knew I was in good hands.

Negative experience: I went to see a kinesiologist for the first time and explained to them that I was having recurrent gum pains and dental issues. It was then recommended for me to take action with Dr Lisa. I contacted them and was prepared to invest money and time into my health. They sent me a lot of documents to refill and wanted to establish contact with my previous dentists, which I found really professional and welcoming. However it was just the beginning of Covid 19, I wasn’t able to stay too long at the clinic when the first meeting, so we did a fast examination and I was asked to consent to do some X Rays for a decent amount of money. After almost a week I finally did receive an expensive quote, affirming that I needed a surgery. I believed them in many aspects and decided to go ahead. Dr Lisa, said to me that it was the best clinic in Melbourne, that she was the best dentist in Australia and that most of the dentist places were closed due to the pandemic… It was quite an intense experience since I had an extraction, a surgery and a gum treatment .. I’m not used to taking antibiotics and I had some adverse effects. When I mentioned that to them they blamed the chemist. My last appointment with them had me standing in the corner of a room writing various details about myself and my medical history. I thought it was the last time I was seeing them but … a couple of days after I received another quote for some raineners 850$ ! so I was really confused , why would they not send it to me straight away? this was their answer: ‘We don’t want to overwhelm our clients’, a claim that I wanted to believe, unfortunately, it seems simply ridiculous and frankly, offensive. Surely an initial quote for the total sum would be the minimum of reasonable honest service. Perhaps the demographic of their clinic is for the financial elite but in order to be reasonable; up front pricing is the least expected. Maybe my position of being an immigrant during a global pandemic might have influenced the apparently obtuse quote. Better if it elicited some sincere human empathy in a time where I was in pain. Alas, I live in a paradigm outside of money and business where expecting honesty from a business that professes to be one of the few open during covid is taken at face value. I understood afterwards that to be a lie. I was eager to be treated by Dr Lisa and that’s why I waited until she was available, if I had known how confusing and rushed this process would have been, I would have chosen any other dentist. More fool me for spending a significant part of my income (3200$) through their business which at the time seemed like an essential investment for me. I was left in a constant pain and never really felt the same again… Even after replying to their ‘aftercare’ email, it took 14 days to receive a reply!! Indeed Dr Lisa was apparently too busy … Such a long time that I had no choice but to find another dentist. I can’t help but think this was also because they knew my plan to leave the country soon afterwards... The new dentist’s professional opinion is that I don’t even need retainers and some basic research reveals that most places offering Vivera retainers in Melbourne do so for $495. This was just more energy I had to expend on what thus far has been a fruitless endeavour that took away my time, when I need it most. The amount of grief and anguish this has caused me in a position of vulnerability at the hands of global turnings was really overwhelming and I had to change many of my plans… Indeed before seeing other dentists, I thought that I really needed the retainers but I wasn't sure if I could get them done in my home country because of their strict restrictions at that time. I did a complaint but I’m waiting for more than a month now… I don’t recommend this place and I hope that no one else has to go through what I had again.

Fantastic experience: From the first consultation with Dr Sutander I knew I was in the right hands to have my amalgam fillings replaced. Her and her team were amazing and after 5 appointments I am mercury free and couldn't be happier for the road back to full health. They explained everything and were caring and attentive to my needs for the whole time. The staff were super friendly also and I will be recommending her to all my friends and family. Negative experience: Laser therapy does not work and leaves u significantly out of pocket! Go and see a specialist DR not a Dentist if suffering sleep apnoea or snoring problems.

Negative experience: Was the most relaxed I'd ever been getting a filling done... However, and this is a big however, the filling was put in poorly, so the tooth cracked and had to be replaced by a crown. On getting X-rays at another dentist can see yet again sloppy work where the crown and tooth don't actually meet (there's a 'ledge') - so root canal is on the cards. Pity they do the right, holistic things, but it's all smoke and mirrors when the actual dental work is mediocre.

Fantastic experience: I had been suffering from TMJ Dysfunction and Trigeminal Neuralgia on and off for 6 years but this year was the worst and I'm so thankful I found this clinic. I had a sleep test done first and surprised to find I have mild sleep apnea but not surprised I grind my teeth. Dr Lisa setup a plan for me starting with treatment of the pain over a month. When the pain disappeared, I was able to get some dental work done and a mould for my device I would be wearing at night. I'm now sleeping better than I ever have and the pain is gone but book in straight away whenever I feel it coming on again. More people need to know about the amazing treatment this clinic can do for TMJ Dysfunction. I'm so grateful for the treatment and service I receive. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: It hasn't been easy to find a dental in town that resonates in terms of its philosophy but Laser + Holistic as provided us with new hope. Not only do they address about neurotoxin issues in chemicals like fluoride and mercury, but they offer alternative ways that would help with dental health in the long term with a thorough look at overall wellbeing. One that actually sticks true to its 'holistic' name to its most possible means. I don't believe ozone therapy is available in any other dentist in Melbourne, definitely a revolutionary dental

Fantastic experience: I discovered Dr Lisa Matriste at the recommendation of my acupuncturist. I was recovering from a car collision and was having trouble with my teeth breaking off. As a result of my initial consultation with Dr Lisa, she suggested a sleep study for sleep apnoea, as my sleep had been disturbed since the car crash. Not only was I subsequently diagnosed with sleep apnoea, but the the CPAP machine I now use has decreased my apnoeas from 28 per hour to .05 (this means I wake up once a an hour instead of 28!) And this is before any major dentistry has commenced. I also had a crown fall off my front tooth over Christmas and Dr Lisa fitted me in to repair the shoddy work of my previous dentist. The nurse offered me Rescue Remedy for my nerves, paw paw ointment to stop my lips drying out and, hand massage on pressure points to relax me before my treatment. Dr Lisa is an extraordinary dentist. When I met her she had just returned from a world dental convention and was full of new knowledge she was ready to share. I have major dental work to have done shortly and I know I am in the best hands possible. She is a calming and confident dentist and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Negative experience: I was quoted a price over the phone for whitening trays and I gave my cc details to leave a deposit. 30 min later someone rang me back to tell me they had misquoted me and gave me a higher quote. I decided to go ahead with it anyway even though the second quote was higher than I had gotten from another dentist. When I arrived for my appointment I was given a third quote that was almost $200 more than the second quote I was given. I expressed my annoyance and was told that the consultation fee would be waived. The next day when I looked at my receipt I realised that I had still in fact been charged the consultation fee! The dentist was very nice but the situation was not. I have since cancelled my appointment to get my teeth cleaned and will be finding a new dentist.

Fantastic experience: Dr.Lisa is an outstanding pioneer in the dental profession. It is a pleasure to know her. She has been able to turn around a potentially most dangerous health situation for myself that was close to tipping point. It is not only that her capability in new approaches is trail blazing but her empathy, chair side manner and passion totally complement her abilities. May she continue with her team to do great work now and into the future that many others will benefit :)
