Fantastic experience: Just finished a wonderful course of appointments with Dr. Madara Mapato to switch the amalgam fillings that were ruining my teeth, with six crowns and a number of replacement fillings. After a lifetime of traumatic experiences with other dentists, she understood my trepidation, and was incredibly kind, patient, meticulous and efficient. I strongly recommend her services.

Fantastic experience: After many years, I made the difficult decision to change dentists—and at 70, that wasn't easy. But it turned out to be incredibly rewarding. Very honest, genuinely caring, and much more reasonably priced compared to the big dollars I paid previously. Kyneton Dental, my special star.

Negative experience: Do not go to this dental practice!!! Dentists are incapable of performing even the most basic procedures let alone the bigger ones like root canals with crowns. The practice receives one star purely because they completed a speedy refund in a late night email exchange (seeming suspicious?) regarding a crown that had been poorly competed resulting in it having a hole in the top under two years later, and a gap risking decay and nasties to get under it because it was not on straight. If not for this, and if Google let me, I would be giving them zero stars. My first interaction had me leaving with a filling where the correct products were not used and poor shaping causing an extreme amount of pain. I changed dentists but stayed at the practice giving them the benefit of the doubt and had the filling replaced. We then moved on to explore some sensitivity and I had a small infection needing a root canal. It was painful, the anaesthetic was done in a way that seemed careless, hitting nerves and causing pain, which I have never had before. The temp crowns between visits, while waiting for the real one, were brittle and I had one break in half although being so careful that I was eating mostly soup and smoothies. Then came the final crown placement. All seemed well until my bite wasn't right. The dentist drilled and drilled and then said she couldn't do anymore or it would become to thin. Of course now I know we were well past that point and this is also why I ended up with a hole in it. I told her it was still uncomfortable but she said let it settle. I went back for my follow-up where I mentioned it still didn't feel quite right but again she said it can take some months. After all this I no longer had trust for any of the dentists at the practice and chose to go somewhere else. Here we are today having to pay for the old crown to be removed and a new one put on. Although I got the refund it only covers the new crown work, not the removal of the bad one. I have also found out that although having top extras cover, removal of crowns is not covered so I am still over $400 out of pocked after the refund covering some of the work to fix this mess. Although I might be the only person giving one star for this practice, I am aware of a number of other people cleaning up after poor work and care from them, and I hope my review will help them feel comfortable to say something too. Don't say I didn't warn you!

Fantastic experience: Have always been terrified of dentists, but since I moved to Kyneton 3 yrs ago I no longer have fear. My very1st visit confirmed I had to have an upper molar removed, the dentist I was with convinced me it would be less stress to have it removed there and then. He proceeded was constantly talking to me and after a very short time he said, ALL DONE. I couldn't believe it no panic no idea it was already out. I know go and have my 6 monthly check and have whatever work needs doing done. Couldn't recommend them more highly. Very pleasant manner, very professional. The support staff are friendly and reassuring.

A lifetime of teeth challenges and tricky moments, I recently had a complex root canal taken care of here with care, respect and hard work. Fantastic experience: Very positive experience during major dental work for a client suffering acute anxiety. All procedures and possible outcomes clearly explained and discussed prior to treatment. Treatment plan developed in consultation and compromised where necessary. The kindness and compassion from the whole clinic team was implicitly demonstrated but not overtly expressed, creating an overall positive, supportive and comfortable experience. Fantastic experience: The team at Kyneton Dental are amazing. I called experiencing mild to severe pain in my wisdom tooth. They took me in with no appointment and got the extraction done. Dr Yasser took great care of me making sure the anaesthetic numbed the area before removal of the tooth. To make things better, I didn't even know when the tooth was removed that's how pain free it was! Highly recommended this practice. I would give 10 stars if I could!

Fantastic experience: Dr Yasser has seen our whole family of 5 over 2.5 years and we all agree that he is great! He is professional and is happy to explain any procedures as he goes along which always eases my mind. He never does any "unnecessary" work and is happy to leave things for a while to see how it turns out... OR get work done ASAP if needed. He finished off my daughters dental work that we started of in Sydney and now she has a perfect smile. I cannot write this without mentioning Kylie at reception... Calm, quiet and friendly with up to date equipment and knowledge this is a perfect practice for those of us who have reached an age where dental health and preservation is paramount. Fantastic experience: Outstanding Dentist with lots of experience. I was in a quandary, the other clinic suggested me root canal, as it is so painful and expensive i went in for a 2nd review at Kyneton Dental and saw Dr. Yasser Khan. He told me the other-way, this added more to my confusion, ended up booking up a 3rd apt in the Melb City smiles and consulted a top dentist, he agreed with Dr Yasser treatment plan, was so much put at ease phew; and followed with Dr Yasser treatment plan, 6 months now - Happy camper!
