Fantastic experience: Dr Chris Huang is a reliable dentist whom I highly recommend, and I have high trust in him. He is very patient and detail-oriented. He will spend the time to listen to your concerns, ask questions about myself and my habits regarding dental care, rule out the causes and explain things in a way that's easy to understand. He always offers professional advice on a situation and will not advocate for any unnecessary services. Whenever I have any concerns about my teeth, I will go to Chris Huang. The appointment system on the website is easy to use as well. Price is reasonable.

What I also appreciate and like is the no nonsense actions that Dr Jennifer wants you to implement to help yourself. For me, it’s been how it’s explained and the care that makes practical and easy to implement.

Isabelle at reception is friendly, and the staff speaks Korean, Chinese, and English, which is great. Dr. Chris was thorough and detailed in my check-up today. They also accept private health funds. Fantastic experience: Dr. Huang is very professional. During my filling procedure, he took great care to protect my dental nerve, for which I am very grateful. The receptionist, Isabel, was also very friendly and patiently answered all my questions regarding health insurance. And I especially want to thank Dr. Angela for cleaning my teeth, carefully explaining the condition of each cavity, and teaching me the correct way to use dental floss. Highly recommended!

Positive experience: Karuna has left now, and Dental Pearls is under new managment. I received a reminder today of my appointment for next Monday morning and it says that they need 24 hours to rebook, and if I cancel by appointment within 24 hours there will be a whopping $75 cancellation fee. Hmmm, so I better cancel before Friday morning then I guess, considering they are closed Saturday and Sunday. Don't remember this ever being an issue for the last 20 years, perhaps that was because I was a loyal customer.

Negative experience: My appointment was being stood up by the doctor multiple times, and always has last-minute changes like the doctor is going away, the doctor is on leave. The last time, I went to an appointment on time and was set on the side and waited for nearly an hour. Even though this place is just downstairs from my work, I will visit somewhere that is more on schedule and committed.

Fantastic experience: I've only had an initial consult for invisalign but wowee the difference between these guys and face-value dental (who I went too previously) is unbelievable. I never write reviews but felt like I had to for this one. 10/10.

This is incorporated with her bubbly infectious personality makes her a pleasure to entrust the health of your such an important thing as dental issues. The difference with the team at Dental Pearls is that they truly care about you as an individual whilst providing world class quality services. I work in the hotel industry and am expected to ensure my guests receive nothing but the highest level of service. I never have to bat an eyelid when it comes to directing any of them requiring dental treatment to Karuna and her 1st class team. THANK YOU Dental Pearls for by such an outstanding breath of fresh air in the dental industry!!

Fantastic experience: I have a fair few structural issues with my teeth, and Karuna has worked with me to address the underlying causes as well as fix the damage. Pricing is fair and all the staff I have dealt with are friendly and professional. I get more back on my health plan than I did from prior dentists. Have directed friends their way with good feedback. No parking available on site.

Negative experience: It is the third time I do a visit with Dr. Karuna and I am so sad about having to write a bad review. The first time I came it was a 10/10, she was the most professional, caring and nicer dentist ever. She fixed my problem and I left so happy with how she treated me. The second time I had to go, the service was regular. But well, I just thought, maybe she is not in her best mood today. The third time, today. What an awful experience. She has been so unprofessional, at some point ever rude without listening what I was trying to express. It is like she didn’t wanted to serve me. In the checkout I asked her to complete a report so I can send it to my insurance. It seemed like she didn’t like that either. I am paying the visit with my own money, then it is up to me to get the money back with my insurance (which I pay a high amount religiously every month). Why is that a problem to ask to complete a form? She is getting the money either way… Well, I am so frustrated and don’t understand why she changed her customer service so radically since the first day until today.

Fantastic experience: As a British ex-pat of a certain age, I suffered NHS dentistry as a child in the 1960s and 70s which was an experience that embedded a psychological fear of any dentist for the next 50 years. Of course, I am now paying the price for the lack of care taken and my teeth require a fair bit of remedial work replacing old fillings, root canal work and probably the deepest clean in the history of dental hygiene. Now the magic! Having no choice but to get this work done and with massive trepidation I researched the bejesus out of dentists in the Brisbane CBD and on a gut feeling went for Dental Pearls on Adelaide Street. I explained my history, fears and worries when making my first appointment and from that point on, over three procedures, Karuna and her whole team have practically eradicated all my childhood trauma. I cannot compliment everyone enough on the way they have listened, understood, explained and calmed me over the last couple of months. From the warm welcome and conversation from Reception on arrival, through the whole appointment every time, the service has been magnificent. Just the right amount of information as to what is going to happen next, to checking that I’m ok, to occasional shoulder squeezes and smiles from the attending nurse and full explanations at the end about what has been done and what comes next, it has been a perfect experience for me and Karuna is a great dentist who has done terrific work on a bloody difficult set of teeth! I cannot compliment everyone enough on the perfect mix of professionalism and friendliness that you get from Dental Pearls. Highly recommended from my experience at least for any dentistry but especially for anyone who may have the same worries and fears that I had.

Negative experience: I had a $3.5k root canal attempted but the dentist accidentally drilled a hole out the back of my tooth, then referred me to an endodontist who charged me another $3.5k to attempt to fix it. The fix didn't work so he referred me to a periodontist who charged me $7k for an implant. When I asked for a refund for the original root canal Dental Pearls denied drilling the hole in my tooth and refused refund.
