Fantastic experience: I had braces through Shine in my teenage years, and was left incredibly satisfied with my perfectly straight teeth. Due to my bite, I was given a plastic ‘retainer’ for my top teeth - and after a few years I stopped wearing it. My teeth shifted slightly, and so I came back to Shine 10 years after getting my braces off for some support. Dr Prem has been nothing short of incredible. Assisting me with additional retainers to shift my teeth and close the gaps, coming up with innovative solutions to help my stubborn teeth and not putting a huge hole in my pocket in the process. My teeth are now back aligned after a few short months and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you Dr Prem and your incredible staff for making this process way less painful than I anticipated.

Negative experience: Dr Shields fixed my teeth but left me gigarecessed, what's the point of having aligned teeth if your smile is narrow and your jaw blends into your neck? He put me in headgear and was rude when I didn't wear that laughable torture device 24/7. Anyway, luckily, 10 years later I had my jaws advanced 7mm and 20mm respectively. I will never forget the way this man treated me and my face.

Fantastic experience: I have the most respect for Dr Creagh and the team at Shine. I was told by a paediatric orthodontist that the only way to fix my daughters underbite was with surgery. In just over six months, Dr Creagh has made a spectacular change to my daughters teeth and face and I cannot thank her enough. I will recommend Shine to anyone and everyone.

Fantastic experience: Shine Orthodontics is truly the most professional, friendly and caring practice. Dr Tony Shields is seriously knowledgeable, and in my opinion the most talented orthodontist in the world. His techniques are world class and up to date with the latest cutting edge technology. Both my children have had their lives transformed by the incredible orthodontic improvements. He has really made a difference to their confidence and their dental health. I am in awe of his work and he would be my first recommendation to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Shine Orthodontics is an amazing practice, staff are always friendly & engaging and it's very evident they care about their patients, making sure instructions are clear and easy to follow.

Negative experience: The following is my opinion, I am NOT a medical practitioner and this is only ADVICE. Tony Shields uses braces that were outdated over a decade ago, as per his website. His treatment plans are poor and do not consider airway or jaw position, only teeth. It is entirely possible you leave his practice with amazing teeth yet being highly unattractive and suffering from a breathing related sleep disorder. REMEMBER, if your kids are seeing an orthodontist at age 10-12, IT IS TOO LATE. You must start before 5 years old ideally. 50% of craniofacial growth has occurred by age 5, so as the kid gets older from that point onwards, there is very little room for correct jaw, teeth and airway development. I am unfortunately currently being forced to undergo a slew of medical procedures including jaw surgeries and bone-borne expansion devices AND braces once again. In my opinion these all could have been avoided if Tony Shields had implemented a more effective treatment plan. James

Fantastic experience: Have been under shine orthodontics care for 11 years now (had braces when i was a teenager)... have always been provided exceptional care and had to get my retainer re glued a few days ago and had my 8 month old daughter wirh me whom was unsettled in the pram when i was in the chair for a first time mum it was hard to hear my daughter crying and not be able to comfort her ...the staff there settled her and played with her and made sure she was ok.... which for a first time mum is great to see and made me a nervous first time mum not panic as much with my daughter crying out for me.
