Negative experience: One of the most UNPROFESSIONAL clinics I’ve ever dealt with. I called to cancel because I was sick, was talked over the entire time, shown zero empathy, told my medical certificates “wouldn’t matter,” and then the staff member HUNG UP on me despite no lines being crossed and the interaction remaining respectful on my side the entire time. Despite years of attending appointments here with no issues, and perfectly respectful and friendly interactions with multiple dentists, I was sent an email full of false claims about my behaviour instead of anyone reviewing the call or taking accountability. The problem isn’t patients. It’s the front desk and their attitude. (as evidenced by other reviews on this very platform about their lack of professionalism) AVOID this clinic and choose another Bupa Dental location.

Negative experience: Dentists are great. Reception make errors repeatedly and after 5 years I can’t stand the errors anymore. Appointments booked 6 months in advance get cancelled and they book you with the wrong dentist. It’s just a frustrating set up, disorganised and chaotic. Often waiting after appointments for 15 + minutes to pay. It’s a bit messy. Wouldn’t recommend.

Fantastic experience: I visited the clinic for my Teeth Extraction. Owing to my own previous experiences combined with my partner’s, in the context of teeth extractions, I was dead scared when I was advised by Dr Alifiya S Patla. This, when she is the one dentist I have tremendous respect for- empathy, care- come so naturally to her. Please do note that Dr Patla has an able ‘Dr Watson’ aka Sam with her. Finally the day came ! Dr Patla and Sam (her partner in crime) ensured that I was totally at ease, gave me their patient ears ( and I talked a lot about my fears), and throughout the process, made sure that I was comfortable and without panic or stress. Lo and behold, it was completed in the most possible seamless fashion. I just could not believe it! But there was still one factor remaining- post extraction pains. I’ve witnessed my partner seeing hell. For me, there was almost none! Really! So I did feel uneasiness after numbing in my teeth went off but no “pain” like pain. I followed Dr’s prescription, and, Sam’s instructions. 3 days gone. No pain. 6 days gone. No pain. I’ve rather started forgetting that I had an extraction :-). It has been such a delightful experience. And for once, I have only good memories. I’m going to transfer my partner’s current clinic profile to Bupa Dental Coburg. With Dr Patla and Sam, I need not worry about anything. Thanks Dr and thank you Sam. You both made my all dental treatment fears disappear. To you both, take a bow!!

Negative experience: This place is unprofessional, did a clean in under 10 minutes? And left gums bleeding and in pain.

Fantastic experience: I went to get my fillings done from Dr Alifia and what a great service she delivered. I was totally in awe with the way she handled the procedure in such short time. I was super late for my appointment, extremely embarrassed and was prepared to go home without getting the job done. But Dr Alifia amazed me with her expertise and professionalism and did everything so smoothly and perfectly . Actions speak louder than words, this phrase perfectly fits on her. I would totally recommend her for any type of dental issues, you must check her out!

Negative experience: Today ,i went to our appointment because of my kid's cavity.After consultation,dr.told me that she can not do it in clinic ,i need to go pediatric dentist. I told her why your receptionist didn't tell me that you can not do all the fillings in the clinic.They charged from my insuarance 125.00 aud consultation fee and send me to pediatric dentist! One of their receptionist (around age 55/60,blonde hair )came after me to outside while me and my kid were waiting uber.She asked me the reason why i will claim them,i told the reason that instead of coming this clinic,i able to go pediatric clinic.After she increased her voice to me with shaking her finger to my face near my 5 yrs old son!!!! I told her that i don't talk with her with this attitude! She kept to talked with high voice !!! The only disability in the life is bad attitude,instead of apoligizing from me,this attitude is unacceptable!! I will complaint this clinic. This behavior not only disrupted our entire day but also resulted in unnecessary financial burden.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this clinic ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dr Chetan Bhardwaj is the nicest dentist and good at what he does and knows his stuff with dentistry. Very professional and personable which is great when visiting a dentist as most people hate going to the dentist. Every time I’ve gone to see him he is always pleasant to deal with and the office is always clean. Any fillings or issues have always been resolved in the first appointment and no going back because something doesn’t feel right. The receptionist today was very nice and friendly which is always nice when you walk in so thank you

Negative experience: Update 28/11/2024: In response to my original review detailing their last-minute cancellation, the clinic's management contacted me with an extreme response. Instead of addressing the concerns raised, they aggressively told me that they no longer wish to serve me as a patient and suggested I seek dental care elsewhere. Instead of attempting to understand the customer's perspective, they chose to react dismissively. Really disappointed by clinic's behavior both in their initial appointment cancellation and subsequent customer interaction. Old review: Extremely disappointed with this clinic's handling of appointments. I had scheduled my son's regular dental checkup for Saturday and arranged our entire day around this appointment. To our shock, we received a cancellation message merely 1 hour before the scheduled time. My multiple attempts to reach the clinic went straight to voicemail, and they only returned my call after 15-20 minutes. When they finally called back, I was simply informed that the doctor was 'very busy' for the rest of the month and they couldn't offer comparable time slots for rescheduling. This last-minute cancellation forced us to seek emergency care at another dental clinic, resulting in higher out-of-pocket expenses. The irony is that this same clinic charges patients a $50 cancellation fee for cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment. However, when they cancel on patients with just an hour's notice, there's apparently no accountability or compensation for the inconvenience and additional costs incurred by patients. This behavior not only disrupted our entire day but also resulted in unnecessary financial burden.

Fantastic experience: Last week i went to this Dental clinic Coburg after i got my Bupa insurance for a filling and to get some advice, I was greeted with a warm welcome from the reception and My experience with Dr Irum was fantastic. I felt so relaxed and comfortable on the chair because of her light handed work i almost fallen asleep and she patiently took time to explain me about the implant procedures after my treatment so I can have a better idea and prepare myself for my future plan. Not forgetting skilled dental assistant Myluu was so experienced that I didn’t feel like drawing throughout the whole treatment process. Very sincere thanks to Dr Irem and assistant. Great Job.. Thumbs up I would highly recommend this place to my family and friends. Lastly would recommend Bupa Insurance as they give the best service ..

Fantastic experience: I recently had a check up & clean with Dr Ann Kim & the experience was great. She started with the whole mouth assessment before commencing the cleaning, plus gave instructions of how to better take care to help maintaining my teeth & oral hygiene effectively. My visit at Bupa Dental Coburg was very pleasant from the reception to the treatment room. I'll definitely recommend this clinic to all my family & friends

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at bupa dental coburg, Dr. Irum Brohi despite her tight schedule managed to fit me in and did a marvellous job with my front teeth filling. Every time I look at it I’m surprised how natural it looks. Negative experience: I booked a emergency consultation due to severe tooth Pain.Due to some medical conditions i could not proceed with the procedure today. Got prescribed with antibiotic.Later i called reception and asked for the findings . Got the update from the clinic saying i will have to book the another standard consultation .I am not sure is this way all dentist clinic work i am trying to understand. Its totally disappointing ..

Negative experience: Terrible experience at this practice. As a BUPA member I had a clean and check with a concern around a filling that had dislodged and some decay had occurred. The dentist applied some anaesthetic (just one side) and then began drilling in and I nearly fell off the chair with pain as it was right on the nerve. The dentist was apathetic to my pain until I requested more anaesthetic on the inside before she proceeded. My jaw/mouth was so sore during the remainder of the procedure and I was so keen to get out of there I didn't get the alignment right which I regret in hindsight and put off going back. I now get periodic jaw pain due to the bite being uneven. I finally get the courage to call back to have this rectified (Tue 6th Aug). I get a receptionist who says it is her first day. Lead time for a booking is 3 weeks as I have to book back in with same dentist. She says she had added me to a emergency waitlist. I get no confirmation of a booking and ring back 9th Aug to reconfirm details. There is no record of my booking. Now it is 4 weeks waitlist but I can see another dentist as this dentist is on leave. I ask about the insurance coverage given it is rectification of a filling. I am told I need to ring BUPA for this. They are BUPA. Terrible experience. Will be going elsewhere to have this rectified. Avoid this practice like the plague.

Dr. Chetan took the time to explain everything in a clear and concise manner, making us all feel at ease. His gentle and caring approach put us at comfort during the examination. Fantastic experience: Dentists and receptionists here are amazing. As Bupa members my family get a lot of services covered. Dentist Dr Grace was great with my boys today and another dentist I saw last week was very gentle with my sensitive teeth. She was the best dentist I have ever been to. Receptionists are lovely - friendly and efficient. Highly recommend this practice for both Bupa and non-Bupa members.

Negative experience: I have been to this practice before, however, the last time I had a crown put in, it was done at another Bupa dental that I do not live near anymore. I rang this practice that is close and convenient for me to book an appointment to have my crown recemented as it has just fallen out today, but remains intact. Being over 8 months pregnant, I advised the receptionist I couldn’t get to the other clinic anymore. Instead of trying to help, I was advised that this dentist “won’t touch another persons work and to go back to the other clinic”, even though I expressed the inability to travel that far. As a Bupa member, it was disappointing that I wasn’t allowed to make an appointment for something so simple like the support to glue my crown back in.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic dentist Dr Chetan rebuilt my tooth. A consummate artist in refashioning a tooth from a fragment left in the gum when tooth broke off. A great team at Bupa dental Coburg. Highly recommended. Second visit six weeks later. Wonderful professional service again. Staff made you feel welcoming valued as a client of the service. Again Dr Chetan went out of his way to problem solve my difficult teeth in order to improve my bight. This problem I have had for the past 10years and he solved the problem. He is a very committed passionate dentist who provides a 1000% service. The best dentist that I have seen in 40years in Australia. Thankyou.

Negative experience: I really regret wasting time and money at this clinic! Repeatedly let down by last-minute cancelled appointments and unreliable dentists when I really badly needed dental treatments. So much so that I had to deal with lots of pain and inconvenience and had no choice but to switch to a different practice and pay all the consultation fees again with a new dentist. Definitely advising others to AVOID this place, as it is badly staffed and managed. Although I raised my concerns with the practice and with Bupa several months ago and they have so far failed to resolve my complaint. So disappointing. :/

Negative experience: Had my appointment reschedule in October to November due to system fault on their end (the booking system allowed me to book an appointment that didn’t exist apparently) and after attempting to call 3 times over 24 hours before my appointment to advise I am unwell and unable to attend with NO answer, I managed to finally get through the morning of and advised now I will be charged a $50 fee for cancelling my appointment too late. Was told to respond to the text message to advise of cancellation and there is no statement anywhere to advise of $50 cancellation fee. Extremely poor service from receptionist and disappointed in lack of empathy. Won’t be rebooking and will go elsewhere.

Negative experience: Practice manager was rude. I was questioned as if I was refusing to pay. The dentist was okay, she looked at my teeth for follow up and took about 5 minutes, did nothing. Told me I need to come back for next appointment. Charged for the whole amount of General dental appointment. And so I ask the reception why do I have to pay for this? I paid it anyway. (Was this appointment necessary?) Then she filed my name as rude customer. And trust me, her voice was louder so as her attitude. Money thirsty dental clinic and rude staff.

I already went twice for the routine check up..And found them very serious and efficient..But unfortunately I had to do a crown, which is for me a massive Job..Until now I ve been quite lucky. no major work needed...So today was the big day, I was very stressed and scared..But I knew I was in good hand with Dr Patia...and I was so right❤️..I was really concerned about the needle But Dr Patia put a numb cream and then didn't feel anything...Then the work started ..And I am impressed .. Absolutely no pain .She was gentle and efficient..(and her little assistant Sami too) They are a good team.. Important for them and patients. Negative experience: Hi, Despite my prior communication about the specific expertise required, the clinic made an appointment with a general practitioner who doesn't have necessary training and experience to address the treatment of the root canal. Waste of time.

Negative experience: Extremely disappointed with the customer service and management at Bupa Coburg. I had my appointment locked in for over a month. I got a call from the clinic less than 2 hours before my appointment requesting me to come 15 minutes early as the doctor had to leave early. Half an hour later I get a call that my appointment has been cancelled due to their systems crashing. They rescheduled me for a 8:30am the next morning, and conveniently called at 8:10am to cancel the appointment due to their systems still not working and the doctor being unwell ( I was 10 minutes away from the clinic). All of this on a working Wednesday. No respect for my time and other commitments.

Fantastic experience: Have come here a few times through my Bupa insurance and every time has been as pleasurable as the dentist can be. Every time I walk in the reception staff are warm and friendly. If there is ever a delay or an early spot they will call you in advance to let you know. Dr. Saira Oommen is amazing! She is so nice and gentle, and has put my mind at ease each time with my fear of needles. She will also encourage me to speak up if something becomes painful and in general does a really good job filling and shaping some of the larger decay holes in my teeth Highly recommend Bupa Dental Coburg and Dr. Saira Oommen!

Fantastic experience: Had Dr. Saira Oommen with me to do basic teeth cleaning, very patient and explained things thoroughly. The receptionist was also very friendly and welcoming, helped to check what exactly my Bupa plan covers to help me save the cost. Good services and clean environment!

Negative experience: They almost scammed me by charging me 1,200 dollars for a deep clean that I did not need (which I confirmed with other dentists). They also charged me 300 dollars for a superficial clean and X-ray, while other places would charge half of that. Do not waste your time.

Positive experience: Dr Saira had to remove 4 front lower teeth. I was apprehensive about dentures as all the feedback from friends was "you'll be sorry". Saira measured me up for dentures and guess what? I'm rapt. Everything went as smooth as silk. Highly recommend her work.

Fantastic experience: Always a pleasant place to be at. Welcomed with a smile even if they are busy. They have been taking care of my families dental needs for 4yrs now. We have had a change of dentists and both dentists have been exceptional. Dr. Oommen is patient, pleasant and always smiling which helps with the stress that comes sitting on the chair!

Negative experience: Horrible experience! The Dr couldn't pull the tooth out and hurt my daughter a lot trying to pull it out! She did not finish the job and then when the time for another appointment came she left us and moved on to the other customers. All she had to do was pull out a baby tooth and she couldn't she broke it aswell. Even though they did nothing we had to pay $150!

Fantastic experience: I have recently had a a significant amount of work done by Dr Alifiya Patla. After not having seen a dentist for 14 years due to fear, Dr Alifiya was excellent at helping me overcome my fears, though her patient and calming nature. I was in tears from anxiety and fear in our first session, but 4 months and 12 appointments later, my fears are gone and teeth look great. A big thank you from me to Dr Alifiya and all the Bupa dental staff.

Fantastic experience: I was incredibly anxious about seeing a Dentist after putting treatment off for several years. But, I knew I had to get it sorted. The clinic receptionist was friendly and helpful. I had spoken with her on the phone booking the appointment and she knew I was nervous. The dentist I saw at this clinic was amazing. Dr Saira Oommen is a very gentle and talented. There was no pain or discomfort (beyond what you anticipate having to sit in a chair and keep your mouth open), but she offered plenty of breaks. Dr Saira allayed my anxiety and explained everything extremely well. I will definitely return to Dr Saira and this clinic in the future. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Having dental work carried out during covid lockdowns I had trepidation with proceeding. The staff put me at ease and although my simple procedures were a bit complicated in the end the team took this all in their stride and did a good job.

Negative experience: The practice is extremely dirty looking once you go past the waiting area with the tools looking unclean and dirty (I saw old materials from previous patients still on some of the instruments!) and things scattered everywhere along the benches. I got a filling and it was done extremely poorly by Dr.Saira I can't speak for every Dentist there but her professionalism was below average. I would not recommend her. Other staff members like the receptionist were extremely unfriendly. It is worth paying the little bit extra and at least going somewhere clean, presentable and hygienic. Do NOT recommend even if Bupa is your preferred health fund you can get same membership cover elsewhere

Fantastic experience: Had my molar removed @ this clinic, Dr Brohi was quick, efficient and explained everything. She set the expectations right:). The whole process took 10 minutes & my teeth was in my hand. The best part is that I don’t even have to take any pain medication and she also told my wife that don’t let him do any hard work (without mentioning the time limit ). Amazing service and I recommend this Doctor.
