Fantastic experience: My root canal had developed a massive infection, had i listened to my previous dentists i would have wasted alot of money , time and caused more issues. I decided to get a second opinion with Dr Gamer and I'm glad that I did! Dr Gamer & his team sat down looked at my situation and explained why what I was previously told was inaccurate & not the best course of action. They identified the issue and put together a clear plan of action. Dr Adam performed the work and did a great job. Dr Gamer, also identified gaps in previous work that had been done that would lead to further issues if not addressed, saving more headaches. Highly recommended

Negative experience: I couldn’t, in good conscience, leave my previous review without an update. I got two veneers done less than a year ago now. One fell out 2 days after I posted the review below (eating a salad) and the other fell out last week (eating a wrap). I had been told they would last 10 years. I went back to get the first fixed with someone from the implant institute at Dental Lounge and he was very good and very thorough. The second time, I had to go to another dentist because dental lounge “couldn’t fit me in at short notice”. Dental lounge had said any repairs would be complimentary within the first year but obviously had to pay out of pocket going somewhere else. I was glad I did. The new dentist in the CBD was far more knowledgeable. He informed me that my veneers had a zirconium underlay and porcelain over the top - not just porcelain, as I had been told. He said the bonding technique was different depending on the material used, and mine had likely been bonded as porcelain veneers, which is why they hadn’t sealed properly to the tooth. He also showed me that the colour match was wrong - my veneers are “grey white” when my teeth are “warm white”. My learning from all this - don’t go to the shiny new Double Bay dentist with all the supposed bells and whistles. Go somewhere where they actually know what they’re doing. It’s been an expensive lesson! I still have very little confidence in the strength of my veneers (after being told there was considerable gap between the tooth and the veneer, apparently a fault with the initial design). I have been so careful in what I eat since I got them and will continue to be careful going forward - people should understand this going in (Don’t listen when dentists say you will still be able to eat an apple or sourdough, as that has not been my experience!). I hope this review helps someone avoid my mistakes! Previous review, for the record: I had heard good things about Double Bay Dental Lounge but nothing could have prepared me for the experience of being a client there! They have the whole experience down to a fine art from the state of the art technology used to scan your mouth from top to bottom to the professionalism of the staff. Not once was anyone late, and my appointments always went for less time than I budgeted for. Having been embarrassed about the state of my smile for some time, I sought advice from Dr Karl. He didn’t try to upsell me and gave me genuine feedback on the result that could be achieved with a less invasive treatment plan than I feared. We decided to improve just two teeth with porcelain veneers which were then fitted over the course of three weeks involving multiple appointments. I was very nervous as the teeth in question were very sensitive but at no stage during any appointment did I feel any pain. Dr Karl was amazing on the comms - checking in to see how I was in between visits. When my veneers were fitted they looked so natural I could’ve cried. I cannot recommend Dr Karl and Dental Lounge highly enough. They are the pinnacle of professionalism and I got an amazing result for a very reasonable price, all while experiencing amazing service from everyone involved. I needed to get my wisdom teeth removed- and got a consult and x-ray completely free of charge. Once the procedure came around the recovery was extremely easy and I was back at work the next day. Dr Gamer removed them with amazing precision and care. The clinic was also gorgeous and designed so chic. Will 100% be coming back here and recommending to everyone.

He explained what needed to be done and we could use sleep dentistry. That was my 1st visit many moons ago. Here we are in 2023 he and his team are no1! Negative experience: UPDATE Dec 2022 - Dr Gamer did reach out around dinner time which is why I didn't answer. I phoned the next day and left a message for him as no answered the phone - all this was in my review. If Dr Verdian 'didn't hear back', it wasn't for my lack of trying. No one passed on the message. Why I'm even wasting my time writing this update now is the absolute blatant lie that Dental Lounge wrote that someone tried to contact me. How about someone PICK UP THE PHONE or SEND AN EMAIL, not hide behind a passive aggressive reply to a review, to let me know exactly who and when that allegedly was? I won't hold my breath... No one - not the practice manager, the admin team nor anyone else, bothered to email/call. I get it, you're trying to cover yourselves but you're not flipping your staff's inability to follow up on me, its rubbish and I'm not going to let it fly. I did see your customer reviews and stories and I know mine is one you don't want people to read but outright lying is not the way to deal with a negative customer review. Own it, apologise, but don't blame the client for your staff's ineptitude. Its unfortunate, but the clumsiness of your reply has made Dental Lounge look a whole lot worse. _______ I don’t particularly like going to the dentist, but when I decided veneers might be for me I did some research via the practices advertising on socials. Earlier this year I kept seeing Dental Lounge pop up on Instagram, their work looked great, staff seemed engaging and friendly, very patient focused and from the glossy posts and fab looking Double Bay clinic I thought that they could be a good option. I was wrong. To make a long story short - I contacted them twice to book a consult via email and Instagram and then had to call a week later because I hadn’t heard from anyone. Not a great start but they apologised and I went for my appointment. Upon arrival the receptionist barely bothered to glance up from her computer, she made eye contact, didn’t say a word and left me standing there waiting - a greeting might have been a nice touch, a smile perhaps, it wasn’t busy…. I wasn't getting a great feeling. The appointment went ahead and photos taken, poking around in my mouth, and I told them I was prepared to do comprehensive $$$$ work if that would give me the results I was after. Dr Verdian is very nice but there was no discussion about what might be good options for me or costings. I left with no information but was told to come back in a week for a plan. I was asked to come the following Thursday but they couldn’t actually give me a time and was told someone would call me. I walked out of there with a feeling no one would. Guess what - no one did…. Then a week later I got an appointment ‘cancellation’ text - (they were cancelling an appointment I didn’t have???) so I called, twice. I left a message – it was mid afternoon no one answered the phone and no one returned my call. That confirmed for me I wouldn’t be going back to DL. I sent an email to the practice manager that I wouldn’t be going ahead and why. Dr Verdian did call that evening and left a message apologising, I returned his call the next day and left a message for him. No reply from him and I never had any response from the practice manager. Customer service is seriously lacking. Very disappointing from first contact, to the consult, and the complete lack of follow up. What they're spruiking is not what you get. And considering I was prepared to spend a large amount of money, I expected more than have to chase them at every point. I had debated at the time as to whether to post a review about DL, I was really disillusioned with the whole experience which made me rethink even going ahead with treatment but recently found a wonderful team of professionals that did an outstanding job, and the polar opposite of DL, so I took my business to them. My advice to anyone considering a major treatment - the good ones are out there. Just not this bunch unless they pick up their game….

They are so sweet, warm, comforting, and helpful, and also knowledgeable, great at what they do, and explain everything. I absolutely love Milana and Maria! Dr. Verdian put me at ease in getting dental work done and made it a positive experience and did a great job. It's also nice that you can get a such full range of services including orthodontics in one super nice state of the art location. Plus, they always have fun jams playing and there's even a bar :)

Fantastic experience: I’m not normally one to write reviews but I was so happy with Dr Verdian, I felt that couldn’t go without acknowledging his excellent work. I have had multiple issues with my sensitivity on my two front teeth and have had 2 sets of bonding and a gum graft (done elsewhere)- none of which I have been happy with, so I’m very cautious when it comes dentists, prosthodontists and periodontists. Dr Verdian and his team were thorough, professional and provided me multiple treatment options. They were never pushy and provided me with the confidence I needed, noting my dental history. I had the plan reviewed by a prosthodontist for a second opinion who endorsed the plan and was confident in Dr Verdians ability. I had previously visited another prominent cosmetic dentist in Bondi Junction and felt rushed, like I was just another number. I moved overseas during my treatment and the team was able to post the whitening treatment to me in the US so I could complete the final steps when I came back to Australia. In terms of the veneers, Dr Verdian matched the colour and shape perfectly. I am extremely scared of needles at the front of my gum due to past experiences and the needle and machine they used was almost painless which I’ve never experienced. Thank you so much to Dr Verdian the team at Dental Lounge. I could not be happier with the result and will always recommend you to family and friends!
