Fantastic experience: The dental hygienist, Zohar, is amazing. So caring, so professional. Every 6 months I have my teeth cleaned by Zohar. I noticed as I aged that my teeth were getting more sensitive. I was starting to really dread these cleanings. When I arrived for my bi-yearly cleaning yesterday I mentioned to Zohar my concerns. He listened and together we figured out how to accomplish the cleaning with zero pain! He was wonderful.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to this dentist for 10+ years, they fixed my mouth and have been taking care of my dental work ever since. Amazing dental work, very high quality and skill from Dr. Rick. It may cost slightly more than the cheapest dentists, but it’s worth it to know that your mouth is being taken care of by competent and skilled professionals.

Fantastic experience: My partner and I have been seeing Dr Rick and the Oasis dental team for many years now and can’t recommend them highly enough. Here are just some of the reasons why: 1. Dr Rick explains in detail and with supporting pictures the status of our teeth, and possible ways forward. We have always felt Dr Rick has our best interests at heart by recommending action at the right time, and only when neccessary. In short, it can be expensive but we have never felt ripped off or that we are having work done unnecessarily. 2. Dr Rick is confident in his abilities and this is reflected in his steady hand and a guaranteed quality result. He is clearly up to date with the latest dentistry practices and technology. 3. The practice is focused on preventative dentistry, and they do all they can to improve your hygiene practices and identify potential issues early to a avoid major works down the track. 4. The entire Oasis team is incredibly professional, friendly and caring. They go above and beyond to accommodate us and make us feel valued. They have been the same team since the start resulting in continuity of care - plus it indicates a happy and healthy workplace! 5. The beautiful office space has everything you could want to minimize any discomfort or dental anxiety, such as lots of natural light, comfortable chairs, Netflix’s and fancy headphones. First time we don’t dread going to the dentist!

Fantastic experience: There aren't enough words to describe how good Oasis Dental is! While recently spectating an Ice Hockey game I unfortunately made an unintentional and ultimately unsuccessfully attempt to catch a puck wth my teeth (not recommended). This rendered 2 of my teeth broken. I had no idea what to do and felt very apprehensive as I've always had major anxiety about dentists. I called Oasis and got the lovely Melinda and from then on, they did everything! They managed to squeeze me into an appointment that day with Rick (who deserves his own review). He looked at my teeth made a plan moving forward and went even further by performing an x-ray on the laceration on my lips, only to find that there was fragments of teeth in the wound which would have been a major issue had it not been discovered. Before I had even got back too reception, Mel had already called the hospital that I had been too originally to get relevant documentation and was in the process of calling around, trying to find me an appointment for facial surgery, which it turns out needed to be done immediately. She booked me in for the surgery the next afternoon and also got me booked in with Rick's lovely wife Jeanine to build the temporary teeth for the next morning. Jeanine is another one who deserves her own review. Have you ever almost fallen asleep while having major dental... I can now say that I have. She is also an absolute master at what she does and it genuinely looks like there was never an accident. All in all, the business is beautiful, has all the comforts that one could ever dream of and more. The staff genuinely care and are legitimately 10 out of 10. Everyone was so so lovely, helpful and understanding in a time that was altogether, pretty horrible. I have found my dentist in Canberra.... you'd wanna have your head read if you go anywhere else! TLDR - Broken teeth and emergency assistance required... They did absolutely everything! Booked me in for as soon as possible. Booked necessary other appointments outside of their business and the dental work was the best I have ever experienced!

Fantastic experience: Rick and his team at Oasis Dental are amazing. Never before have I felt that a dentist has had a long term holistic plan for my dental well being. We started with a thorough assessment of my dental status, using the very latest technology and Rick's extensive knowledge and experience. Rick then proposed a staged plan to address various issues that had accumulated after years of "just enough for now" dental work. He explained in detail the status of each tooth, the work that needed doing and the best sequencing for the work. He also discussed my pain tolerance and lifestyle activities to develop the treatment plan. Rick cares greatly for his patients' well being. We proceeded with the plan to update caps, fillings etc. That was over two years ago, and I haven't regretted my decision. I recommend Rick's ongoing management plan involving quarterly scale and clean and checkup with a thorough annual inspection and review. Rick recently rectified, at no cost, an issue with one of the caps he had provided. He is very open and honest and demonstrated that he really does stand by his work. I highly recommend Oasis Dental Kingston.

Fantastic experience: Over the past 12 months, Dr Rick has fixed a number of fillings I had done interstate. The previous work was done to a poor standard and I wasn’t aware of this until Dr Rick walked me through the results of the initial consultation and talked through the consequences if I did not remediate the issues. Dr Rick has an impressive set up using contemporary equipment to mould, cut and fire crowns using 3D imagery so that the crowns can be fixed on the same appointment. Happy with the work done and would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Oasis for years now - I spent a bit of money up front correcting previous dentists shortcuts. The work done was terrific, and I've been totally pain and trouble free since. I've signed up for the ongoing care package, and it's been a much better experience having my teeth cleaned quarterly, and making sure my teeth stay healthy. I also got a mandibular splint which pretty much stopped my snoring in its tracks without the need for a CPAP. I have no hesitation in recommending Oasis.

Fantastic experience: Did you know according to the Australian Dental Association, it’s recommended you should visit the dentist for an examination and hygiene treatment every six to 12 months…. EVERY 6 -12 months!!! To do this you need a dentist you can trust, a dentist you like and a dentist who cares. As a patient I’ve had some pretty ordinary experiences in the past. I found Dr Rick his Hygienist Zohar and the rest of the team to be absolutely fantastic!!! Oasis Dental use the latest technology to get a complete picture of your dental health. For Oasis, it’s about preserving teeth and gum health so as not to cause further issues later on. There aren’t quick fixes here, I had extensive and complex work and at all times I felt informed about what was happening, the team were about maximizing my comfort and allaying my fears. As we are living longer dental health becomes crucial to that longevity. Whether you’re keeping your mouth healthy or looking for something more cosmetic, I thoroughly recommend Oasis Dental. You may find it’s a little more expensive but it’s absolutely worth it!!!

Fantastic experience: A dentist with a difference! Rather than waiting for your dental problems to become serious or actually arise (dental emergency), steps are taken to address them. Prevention has to be better than the alternative. Your first meeting with Dr Rick is all about taking photos and x-rays of your teeth, and then talking through what he sees, followed by how you can fix the problems. For me, some of the fixes were optional and others were about fixing them before I ended up in the chair needing extensive work. Whilst it is your decision as to how to go forward with the information, this is a two way street. Dr Rick can address the problems he finds, but you need to be willing to go ahead and follow the advice he provides you. Finally, you cannot fault the rest of the team. Melinda, who greets you when you walk in and always has time to talk through questions with you over the phone or in person, and the patient care team who look after you whilst you are in the chair. Thank you for taking such good care of me and for being so honest about my dental care needs.

Fantastic experience: As a kid, I always hated visiting the dentist each year. I have vivid memories of anxiously waiting in reception fearing the worst. Of course, these fears carried on into adulthood! Which was true until I found Oasis Dental! After experiencing some tooth pain, I booked an appointment with Oasis. It was immediately clear to me that Dr Rick was exceptional from all other dentists I've seen before. He clearly explained my issue and used photographic evidence to explain the problem to me personally. It turned out I had a very small crack and needed a crown. I was TERRIFIED. However, Dr Rick was so patient with me throughout the entire procedure to ensure I was comfortable and reassured. I experienced absolutely zero pain throughout the procedure. Since then, I have been back for a few fillings/fissure sealants, and each time I feel notably more comfortable. I now visit Oasis every 6 months for a hygienist appointment, and barely even have to see Dr Rick any more because my dental health is excellent!! Amazing team, reception included. Wouldn't even consider trying another Dental practice. 6/5 stars!

Dr Rick and his team spent a lot of time trying to understand what the real problem was and were able to resolve it. Fantastic experience: Oasis Dental provides an excellent standard of care, taking the time to provide detailed information and a clear long-term treatment plan to stabilise dental health. I recently started attending this practice after years of fillings each time I visited a dentist and worsening outcomes, and only wish I’d found this excellent team sooner! Melinda on reception has fit me in at short notice, called to check up after my first crown, and always makes sure I have all the information I need after appointments. Dr Rick initially spent an hour with me to discuss my dental history, diagnose the problems I was having, and provide information about treatment options. He and Tash have since worked together seamlessly in two longer appointments to fix various issues, and each time the attention to detail during the appointment, and the clinical result has far exceeded my expectations.

I have dental phobia, and they were so accommodating. Dr Rick is very very good - and he goes the extra mile to make sure everything is to a high standard. Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing! I'm so happy I found Rick and his team. Not only are they nice and caring people but the work they do is second to none (the artistic work that Rick puts into each filling is really beyond words). Nothing is sugar coated including the costs. I went in with a cosmetic plan of what I've been told I needed (by other dentists). Rick explained that yes it could be done however with his plan for my mouth I would end up with a smaller bill and healthy mouth! Plus the location is beautiful overlooking the Kingston foreshore while getting work done. The human comforts ie blankets, headphones and coffee/juice. I have had a front tooth filled after a fall and it looked great. I then decided to have dental implants and was surprised that the cost was a lot cheaper than I thought. I am extremely happy with the implants. What I also like about this practice is the friendly staff. Dr Rick and everyone who works there are friendly, helpful, very professional and just lovely. Going to the dentist was something I really hated before but not anymore. It is now an experience that I enjoy! Never would have thought I would ever say that.

Fantastic experience: As someone who's always been terrified about going to a Dentist, Dr Rick and his team have been a total change for me. Dr Rick actually listens to you, your history and your fears and takes it all into account when he treats you. He also does a full check of your dental status when you walk in and explains in layman's terms what is going on in your mouth - plus what that can mean for your current health. He then proposes a treatment which *you are able to change*. Dr Rick is a perfectionist - and will readily admit when something hasn't gone right and will fix it at his cost. Yes, they are on the pricier side, but I've never felt this comfortable with a Dentist.

I feel so much more confidant now and realise the importance of good hygiene routines to keep them strong and feeling good. Fantastic experience: Dr Rick and the team are fantastic! Every aspect of the experience at Oasis is 5 star - from the day spa decor to the care that the team take to get to know their patients. I came to Oasis with a long history of bad dental work, and some terrible composite veneers. Rick removed the composite veneers and fitted 9 porcelain veneers just in time for my wedding, and replaced all of my cheap dental work saving some teeth that I thought were long gone. I can smile again!

Negative experience: I went to Oasis Dental as it is super close to my home. I needed a check-up and clean and to get a replacement occlusal splint made up as I'd accidentally smashed my 10-year-old one while travelling. I didn't really expect too much else as I've always had pretty clean bills of health from my various dentists over the years (I travel a lot!). Instead, I was shocked to leave Oasis with a quotation for $6417 of additional work on a 'three visit treatment plan'. That figure didn't include the occlusal splint which was going to cost a further $1055. I sought a second opinion from a large and positively reviewed Canberra dental clinic. I was advised the treatments proposed by Oasis were largely unnecessary as my mouth-health was fine, and not even medically justified as preventative treatments. The second opinion did agree that one filling would need to be replaced and a more durable filling substance than resin would be appropriate, but that ceramic (as quoted by Oasis for $2383) may or may not be the most appropriate substance when the time came. In any event, replacement was not required at this time, and treatment options could be discussed when actually necessary, in the estimated timeframe of between 1 and 5 years. Oh and the occlusal splint with the identical item number cost me $821 instead of $1055. In fairness to Oasis, the premises and staff are lovely. Clearly, no expense has been spared on the fit-out. I only question whether the business model is similarly to spare no expense on patient billing.

Fantastic experience: Dr Rick was awesome. I was extremely scared of getting root canal but he stepped me through the whole process, & numbed the area completely so the procedure was pain free. Dr Rick chatted throughout the procedure, telling me stories & also popped Netflix on. His bedside manner was amazing. He put me at ease from the start and I knew I was in safe hands. The procedure was pleasant because Dr Rick provided such a warm, friendly & professional environment. Fantastic experience: I chose Oasis after my original dentist retired and based on his recommendation. I have never regretted the move. I am from the demographic whose dental care was far removed from the modern approach that is exemplified by Oasis. I had a large number of old amalgam fillings that were progressively splitting my teeth. Oasis introduced me to a program of removing the old filings and substituting caps. The benefit to me was immediately obvious. With Dr Ric at Kingston, I enthusiastically took up the scheme he offered whereby 3 to 4 teeth were capped in a single 4 hour session. The financial benefit to the patient is clear, instead of doing each tooth in separate sessions. Not only that, but Dr Ric was able to help me deal with my ‘annoying’ gag reflex. He and his team have given me the confidence to undertake a wholistic approach to a dental upgrade. I have also taken up the yearly program comprising 3 monthly cleaning with its inclusive benefits relating to xrays, examination by Dr Ric and warranty coverage of the caps. Fantastic experience: My wife and I have been receiving treatment at Oasis Dental over the past two years. It is by far the most professional dental practice we have ever experienced. It starts on entering the practice where the always friendly and helpful reception staff welcome you, offer coffee etc and ask what movie (from the lengthy program list) you wish to watch whilst being treated. Dr Rick doesn't commence any treatment program until he has photographed and closely examined your teeth. He recommends the actions required and gives a detailed and accurate costing. We have both had a number of crowns done, with an implant to come. Dr Rick is a real professional, a perfectionist in everything he does. As an example, on reviewing one crown he did, he was not completely satisfied with the fit so he redid it at no extra cost. After doing the work, Rick ensures it is maintained by regular cleaning appointments with his brilliant dental hygienist. In summary, this is a unique, high quality, extremely professional in all ways with very friendly staff.
