Fantastic experience: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dr. Vamsidhar Talluri at Gungahlin Family Dental recently extracted four adult teeth for my 11-year-old daughter. He was extremely professional, patient, and gentle throughout the entire procedure. He explained everything clearly and made my daughter feel at ease. The receptionist, Rose, was also very friendly and helpful, making the whole experience smooth and stress-free. We are very grateful for their care and highly recommend them!!!

Fantastic experience: It’s been nearly four years and the 6 composite veneers Dr Vamsi did for me are still in perfect condition. After I moved cities, my new dentist said my veneers were incredible and they didn’t even realise they were veneers until they did my clean! I’m still so happy with them, Dr Vamsi is the best!

Negative experience: Extremely unhappy with this practice. Waste of time and money. If you have the choice to go elsewhere please do! Last week, my son told me he might have cavity. He is not great at letting us brush his teeth so I believe he might have some cavities. I called this practice on Monday morning. I told a young lady that my 3 years old son doesn’t like to see any kind of Dr and might have some cavities. Can we take him to here for a dental check ? She said definitely, we will check your son’s teeth. No worries. Yesterday 26/10/23, we have a dental appointment with Dr Bhanu Shamdasani. He asked my son to open his mouth. My son was covering his mouth. I cuddled my son and encouraged him to open his mouth. My son opened his mouth let Dr Bhanu to check. However, Dr Bhanu just looked 5-7 seconds. He said I can’t do anything for your son and will give you a Business card, you can see Dr Peter Wong. He is a Excellent dentist for children. I said l know Dr Wong, I already called them but we have to wait for Two or Three weeks. It is too long for my son. That’s why we came here to have a check. Dr Bhanu said just call them again and tell them your son is unwell. No any treatments and only 3 minutes. I payed $ 70. They asked me to pay $95. I told receptionist Dr didn’t do anything for my son just asked my son to open his mouth. I showed my Medicare card and Insurance card, still have to pay $70. It’s daylight robbery. Last night, before bedtime my son said he was not happy didn’t want go there again. You guys really did a good job Told me I can bring my son to here and gave me a another Practice Business card that I already have. I couldn’t have done it better myself.

Fantastic experience: I hadn't seen an Australian dentist for 14 years due to a bad experience and severe anxiety. I expressed these concerns during my consultation with Dr Bhanu Shamdasani, who took this onboard and ensured during my following appointments I was comfortable. He explained everything he was doing and ensured I was okay throughout the process. I will continue to see Dr Bhanu and strongly recommend his services.

Negative experience: Went in for a wisdom tooth removal. All went well initially staff were nice and the dentist professional. Two days after extraction a nasty infection set in. GP prescribed antibiotics but unfortunately I ended up in hospital. Results of a CT scan showed a none so small shard of tooth wasn't removed and subsequently stitched up inside the extraction. The infection caused by this required 3 days hospitalisation and emergency surgery, it will still be several months before I get full use of my jaw back. Certainly wont ever be returning or recommending this dentist. If I had the time and energy I would be fighting to get part of the over $700 it cost to have the 1 tooth partially removed. On another note; never got the follow up call as part of the after care. I did get a follow up call after notifying reception that I was going to hospital during which they stated they would touch base again soon, which has not happened.

Fantastic experience: After being completely let down by my dentist of many years, I attended this practice as an emergency patient and experienced the most relaxed and competent dentist, Dr Bhanu. Dr Bhanu performed an emergency root canal which was totally painless and stress free. He made me feel at ease with the procedure and why it was required. I have now transferred my entire family, aged 10-73, to this practice. I would 100% recommend Dr Bhanu to anyone looking for a kind and compassionate dentist.

I've finally found a dentist I can be happy with, gentle and understanding! Negative experience: Escorted my friend to an appointment here, and while waiting with them, witnessed severe workplace bullying by management to the receptionist on shift. This happened in front of me and other patients, she was also harassed and belittled while on the phone to another patient. Very uncomfortable, unprofessional and immature. Disgusting behaviour from the staff and management to their fellow colleagues.

Fantastic experience: As a new patient I was impressed with the attention to detail in the examination done by Dr Saranya. As she went, she explained what she was doing, checked in on my comfort and explained my options. Even helped release jaw tension from grinding, instead of only giving a retainer. All staff I met there were lovely and the place was calm, neat and tidy, while still welcoming. Would highly recommend.

Thankfully, after finishing my waiting period for my private health cover, I Googled and came across Gungahlin Family Dental. I booked an initial appointment with Bhanu Shamdasani and, aside from the usual check-up and clean, he took the additional time to check all of my teeth in detail and talk me through a proposed treatment plan for a few issues. The staff were able to answer all of my questions and quote me on the gap payment for my treatment plan. What's more, during my 3rd visit, when one of my teeth required a more expensive treatment than I was initially quoted for, they offered to do it at no extra charge - extremely professional! The quality of the fillings has been great so far - Iam glad to have found them and look forward to my regular check-ups. Also, the staff are super friendly and love to have a good yarn about the day, the weekend, or common hobbies/interests.

Fantastic experience: Dr Alex at Gungahlin Family Dental was patient with me, and very understanding as i was nervous and made sure I was okay when my gag reflex was set off. The explanation of what my dental health was currently and the steps needed to be taken was easy to understand. On top of that, was was noticeable to myself is there is no gendered language used around, not even on the form. When Dr Alex was talking with the assistant (? Not sure if that's the correct name for the job) my name was used or 'the patient', which may not make a difference in a lot of people's lives but it is appreciated for non cis people.

Fantastic experience: I've been to a dentist about six times in my life. That's on average once every decade. Why? Because I have an aversion to pain. I mean, who doesn't? When I explained to Dr Saranya Talluri my past painful ordeals, she was very sympathetic. She used plenty of care to give me a PAIN FREE experience. Dr Talluri is about ZERO-PAIN. She also explained in great detail what procedure she wanted to do and why. TRUST and ZERO Pain. What more can one want?

As a mother of two I had to bring my newborn to my appointment and the staff were so helpful, attending to my baby while I had my checkup. It is a very clean and child friendly practice with easy parking. Dr Alex Teh’s service was exceptional, he is very gentle, definitely knows what he is doing and is now my family’s new regular dentist. I highly recommend this place and Dr Alex.

Negative experience: I went to this place twice, the first time I told the dentist(Dr Alex) one of my bottom tooth hurts, he took a picture and said it was fine, but the pain start to getting worse, I came back ask him to check the tooth again, he said the picture has no different from previous one (I'm not a professional dentist, even I can see a black space, that's definitely a whole!) He told me my tooth looks good…… I told him if my tooth feel good I won't give you money and he give me a solution: the filling might leaking, then he did the refilling, accidentally squeezed my lip and it made my lip turned purple(now it became a scar) it was so so so hurt, what they said was that's fine, it's not bleeding, sorry about that …… when his partner try to use the tube to get water out of my mouth, she always accidentally put the tube into my throat, made me wanna throw up few times If my tooth feel good, I won't write this comment, because the dentist (Alex) did explain a lot in a friendly way, and during the treatment what happened were all accidents…… But the pain from my bottom tooth is getting worse, the refilling is definitely not successful, I'm dealing with the disgusting pain now, so I have to give you this comment, I hope I can give you zero star but one star is the worst one

Fantastic experience: Every part of my experience with this practice was excellent. My appointment had a small delay and the front desk staff let me know and were very apologetic. Dr Alexander Teh was great - listened, answered my many questions, and explained everything so I understood what was happening. He was very thorough but careful and made the process virtually pain free. I will absolutely be back for my future dental checkups, and would recommend coming here.

He asked for photos and called back with his thoughts almost straight away. He arranged to see us first thing in the morning the next day. It was a very good experience, highly recommend it.

Fantastic experience: Very happy, not pushy and they actually care

Negative experience: Went to this clinic (Dr Alex) for a year and was very happy with my dental care. Now that Dr Alex is based in Sydney (and I was treated terribly by Dr O'Neill), it's now the reason I will NEVER go to a doctor in Gungahlin EVER again. Dr O'Neill joked about using a scalpel to get my wisdom tooth out (moments after he extracted it), yanked at my daughter's mouth to show me her teeth (so viciously that I cancelled her next appointment), called me a worry wart (yes, I am hyper sensitive - from all the bad dentistry I've received over the years!), placed his gloved hands under his armpits while explaining procedures, had multiple, involuntary facial tics when talking (and working?), performed a root canal where he CRACKED my tooth, gave me an infection that needed two rounds of antibiotics to clean up and tooth the filling out without replacing it when I presented myself to the clinic in agony. The hours/days of pain and sheer trauma cost me days off work and I will now need either a crown or a tooth implant ($6k-$10k). The clinic has ignored the situation and no one there has the guts to even do an investigation despite other dental opinions reinforcing O'Neill's breach of care. Dr Sausage Fingers (O'Neill) is not my recommendation if you need preventative dental care or would like to be treated like a decent paying patient should be treated ESPECIALLY if you've had to deal with past dental trauma.
