Negative experience: That will be my last time coming to Gibson! This dentist was brutal. He's done something wrong with the injection to numb the area, my face instantly went into cramping and spasms now l can't shut my eye! That entire appointment he was smashing into other teeth, pushing tools into soft tissue without a care. He litrally yelled at me and said l was to scared because l was tense waiting for the next injury! Im a 50 yr old woman and lve never had an issue attending the dentist. This was my 2nd negative experience, my prior appointment while the dentist did a good job he spent the entire time pointing out every little fault in my mouth, felt like he was a salesman not a medical practitioner. *** It took almost 24 hours for my eye to recover and once the anaesthetic wore off l was able to feel the damage done to my mouth. I have cuts all over the gum and inner mouth scratches on my lip. Sore facial muscles. The dentist l saw on the 16th should not be seeing patients. Im not sure what had occurred before l got there, he was clearly angry though.

Very caring and understanding. My husband now is willing to go back but only to Dr Ip - I can’t believe it! The entire team from Doctors, Nurses and Front Reception are the most caring and wonderful people Can’t recommend them highly enough!

Also have a major fear of the dentist aswell and the guy was very calm and made sure to try his best to help keep me at ease. Fantastic experience: I am 66 yrs old and ALWAYS been terrified of the dentist. Recently one of my front teeth broke off (eating chocolate out of the freezer!!). I had no choice but to go to the dentist. I was able to get in to this dentist the very next day. My hubby came with me and I was shaking and not feeling too good. The dentist I had (Dr lap pun ip) was amazing. I was InThe chair for over an hr and in that time I began to relax. He completely fixed my tooth and made sure I was ok all the way through the procedure. By the time he had finished I was completely relaxed and even smiling. And my tooth looked better than it did before it was broke. I am absolutely thrilled with the service I received and will be going back in January for another appointment, I won’t even feel the need to take hubby along. Very much recommend this dentist 100%

Fantastic experience: Dr Kay is a magician and find it hard to find words to describe the service I have received. Over the past 5 years she has placed an implant and also some crowns for me. But most recently I had an old crown on a molar fail and was worried how it would be removed. I should not have worried as the tooth and old roots were removed without incident. Thank you.

The staff was excellent and they made me comfortable. They kept checking in on me even after the procedure which was great. Overall, I had a very good experience.

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Dr George and Dr Kay for the past 6 year. I highly recommend both of them. I have a extreme phobia of the dentist and both Dr George and Dr Kay are very accommodating, gentle who make you comfortable being in the chair it is well worth the drive from Melbourne after a referral from a friend who spoke so highly of these dentist.

Negative experience: About 2 years back had "both" my bottom wisdom teeth removed. They struggled to get the left one out as it was severely impacted, they said they had to stop which was fine but I was told the tooth was cut in half and that the roots would come out by themselves later. Had a horrific healing process, they hadnt stitched that side up, and essentially left a hole in my mouth with nerves exposed. 6 months ago after dealing with pain for a year and a half and noticing I had an infection where the tooth was I tried to book in with them again online a few times just so someone could take a look and maybe prescribe me antibiotics, i wrote the reason for the booking so they knew I just wanted antibiotics. All my booking attempts were rejected. Went to a different dentist where they took an xray and discovered they only removed a quarter of my tooth and left the rest intact, so Gibson Dentistry not only refused to even try to treat the issue, but lied to me about my extraction and still charged me in full. The surgeon that eventually removed my tooth was so shocked by what happened he cut the fee of the second removal, but I was still out of pocket by $400. Go literally anywhere else for your dental work if you want to get seen to properly. Wouldve given 0 stars if I could.
