Negative experience: Came in last week hoping to have a wisdom tooth removed. I’d sent through my recent X-rays, and the receptionist told me I could get it extracted the next day. However, when I arrived, the dentist only provided a consultation. Don’t know if this was bad communication with the receptionist but I believe patients should be given a run down with what they’re being booked in for (consultation, surgery etc), especially when I was clear I needed the tooth out ASAP and had provided the X-Rays prior to an appointment. I was in severe pain, and the dentist pointed out that my gum was swollen. The only treatment offered was Panadeine Forte and a referral to a specialist. A week later, after seeking further advice due to ongoing pain, I found out the swelling was actually caused by an infection. Really disappointing to have endured so much pain — including migraines and ear aches — only to find out I could have been on antibiotics a week earlier. I ended up paying $70 for a consultation that honestly felt like something that could’ve been handled over the phone ‍♀️. Usually don’t write bad reviews but I feel like healthcare is really serious and when things get neglected/unexplained it can be really upsetting and frustrating. On the bright side, the specialist I was referred to was very helpful.

Fantastic experience: The best experience I’ve ever had with any business - caring, experienced, and exceptional. I contacted BFDS completely broken, and I couldn’t have found a better dental team to restore the huge disaster caused by a previous dentist involving implants. From my first phone conversation with amazing Jo to meeting the extended team in person - Annette, Dr. Helen, and Dr. Maria - there was no judgement only urgency, empathy, and genuine expertise. They really understood the impact my situation was having on my life and where completely invested in getting my smile back. After my first visit, I left with hope, and they went on to exceed all my expectations. Nothing was too much trouble. Plus they have the latest equipment & the right specialist contacts to deliver the best possible result. I am more than happy to talk to anyone considering implants with this brilliant team.

Fantastic experience: I cannot overstate the transformational effect my new dentures have had on my life! After nearly eighteen months, I still catch myself smiling easily and joyfully knowing I have a wonderful set of teeth. The care I have received from all the staff here is nothing short of exceptional. The pre-operative advice and information made the transformation far easier than I expected. And the subsequent care and advice is truly wonderful.

Positive experience: Very impressed with the work of the dentist I saw. She didn't rush and was very gentle and thorough with the check up and clean. Where this dental practice went wrong and needs to improve is lack of transparency and honesty about their fees. When I made the appointment for a check up and clean and I asked for the price and was told it would be $297. No further comment was given by the receptionist and I assumed on the day I would pay $297. On the day, very shocked when my bill was well over $400. The dentist should have informed me prior to taking x-rays that there would be an additional charge, so that I could have chosen to say no. The receptionist also should have told me that x-rays are commonly done during check ups and been forthcoming and transparent with information about the extra costs when I made the appointment. I do not appreciate being scammed extra dollars for unnecessary x-rays, especially without being firstly informed of the additional charge.

Fantastic experience: Brunswick Family Dental Surgery & All on 4 clinic deliver a great Dental experience . The whole team work as “a team”; continuity of care is fantastic. Helen performed an amazing All on 4 implant procedure, Jo managed the whole process from wo to go. Anna is a super hygienist , explaining every aspect of a dental clean. Dental assistants, Reception and administration team are great. For someone who has shied away from dentists for many years , I highly recommend Brunswick Family Dental Surgery & All on 4 clinic .

Fantastic experience: I recently had an incredible experience getting Botox and couldn’t be happier! From the moment I walked in, the clinic had a professional atmosphere that instantly put me at ease. Dr Lucy was not only highly skilled but also genuinely attentive. she took the time to explain everything and answer all my questions, The injections themselves were quick and pretty much painless. I was impressed by how gentle she was! Highly recommend to anyone considering Botox, you need to go see this clinic.

Negative experience: Go here if you like sitting in a waiting room for long periods of time. Often 30 minutes. Today I waited an hour before giving up. Dental work is fine, but the clinic and reception need to manage appointment times better and have some basic respect for patients’ time.

Negative experience: I had a very bad and costly experience at this dental clinic. I have nothing negative to say about the facility, which is clean or the staff , who are lovely.However, when I go to a dentist, I expect Professionalism and Honesty-something i did not experience here. I booked an appointment specifically to have my on 6- dental implant unscrewed and cleaned. The procedure took about 10 minutes: they unscrewed the implant, cleaned it,and put it back in. When I went to pay, the Doctor, who ownes the clinic, had the audacity to charge me $1,200 . She than tried to make me happy and show she was doing me a favour by " discounted" it to $ 800.00, on top of that i was charged an additional amount because an assistant showed me how to clean my teeth, something I neither asked for nor needed, as I already knew how. I am extremely disappointed with both the cost and the overall outcome.I will never return to this clinic. It is clear that for them ,it's all about $$$$$ not the patient best interest.

Positive experience: The dentists are wonderful and really care about your comfort. Great if you are nervous or experience pain at the dentist. However, booking an appointment is such a headache and actually puts me off going to the dentist as often as I should. It’s a busy practice so it fills up quickly - but I have a full time job too. I wanted an appointment on a day off, I was told to book it on another day (I picked a day that I am working from home), then to change it to another day (when I was supposed to be going into the office) last minute. I didn’t have my work calendar on me. Then when I got home, I realised I really couldn’t come to that appointment because of work - so I asked to change again, and finally got an appointment on the original day I wanted. Ridiculous. Please add online booking or even a calendar of availability that patients can see - would be really really helpful.

Negative experience: recently visited here for a consultation and, to be honest, I was quite disappointed with my experience. While I found the receptionists to be incredibly lovely and welcoming, I didn't really get anything out of it. I specifically booked a consultation because I was seeking orthodontic advice and assistance, which I mentioned in my call. However, during my visit, I was charged a fee of $61 only to be told that I should go to an orthodontist for any assistance and that they didn't need a referral. This was quite frustrating, as I had clearly mentioned my intention to seek orthodontic advice when booking the consultation. The advice I did get didn't really go into appliances nor any consideration of my bite/archway, the dentist only suggested an extraction first approach, favouring removing the premolars for bite correction. What added to my disappointment is the fact that I have since discovered that most orthodontists in Melbourne offer complimentary initial consultations. This made me question why I was charged for something that other reputable professionals provide for free. While I genuinely appreciate the friendly and warm atmosphere at Brunswick Family Dental, I must emphasize that if you're looking for actual orthodontic work or advice, you might want to consider other options in Melbourne that offer more transparent and cost-effective services. The Look, Modern Orthodontics and Angle House are the one's I've researched that seem to be the best. When you're new to Melbourne navigating your options here is overwhelming and you wanna get straight to the point in exploring your dental options. My experience was mixed due to the unexpected charges for a service that I expected to be more informative.

Fantastic experience: I came to Brunswick Family Dental Surgery a while ago for an extraction, I am extremely glad I found this clinic. Dr Theja was very gentle and the whole procedure felt like it took just a few short minutes, I was surprised at how smoothly it went. My mum also saw Dr Theja for swollen gums, after dental work she had done overseas. She was a bit embarrassed having to admit to that, but Dr Theja was very understanding and kind. He did a fantastic job in dealing with the issue. After the appointment, my mum kept telling me how much better her gums felt and that she felt a huge sense of relief. Will definitely recommend this clinic to everyone, the interior is beautiful, the receptionists were really nice too and Dr Theja is an asset to this clinic.

Meggy and Lucy are professional and really friendly. They DO want to help you out with the questions and educate the good knowledge of tooth brushing. ( Trust me, its so basic but the devil is hidden in the detail. I sometimes just forget the right way to brush） It’s definitely a great dental clinic I’ll recommend people to go if they are looking for one.

These establishment is the REAL DEAL also this Dentist is VERY reasonably priced, not very expensive. upon my entry I was fascinated with all the modern, very clean decor & architecture in the building & not too mention SUPER clean establishment, plus the seating area wow chesterfield seating crazy so good never seen anything like it in my life absolutely PROFESSIONAL ESTABLISHMENT & not too mention my Dentist that attended to my needs, dude cares like really cares & takes the time to talks to u, helps u along the way & he explained everything in to me to a tee with extreme accuracy. I didn’t get he’s name, but he deserves a lot of respect for caring about he’s patients. Fantastic experience: It’s been a long process for me of having to postpone a couple of times due to COVID and business shut downs, but I’m so pleased to say I finally have my All on 4 completed. Jo from beginning has been amazingly patient, understanding, and available at every turn to answer questions, guide me and keep me comfortable about the process. Negative experience: Very disappointed with cost of deep clean for bottom teeth only . Was charged $366 . Called later to query cost to get top teeth deep cleaned and was told would be another $366!!! Over $700 to have my whole teeth cleaned!!! Outrageous- the most I have ever paid for same service at other dental clinics is $250 - $300 . I won’t be back , can’t afford those prices !!!

Negative experience: Very disappointed, booked an appointment to make a filling to wait for 40 minutes and then hear that there is no time today to make a filling and I need to come another day, but unfortunately they are all booked out so the next available is only in 2 weeks time. Question: why are you asking then what is the problem that needs to be addressed? I needed the filling done and I was planning to have it this day. If I wanted a consultation I would have booked one.

Fantastic experience: I am a dentaphobic on a grand scale following many disastrous and painful, expensive experiences with dentists over the years. I had reached a point where I had very few teeth left and those were not going to last much longer. I researched the All-on-Four procedure and this clinic came up as one of the best qualified for this service. So I nervously called and arranged to attend a seminar explaining the whole procedure and after that, eyes closed and (with what were left) gritted teeth, this dentaphobe was signing up to have ALL of her remaining teeth removed and having implants!! HUGE! Thought about cancelling many times in the lead up. But the care and concern everyone showed, from the receptionists to the assistants, right up to Helen, my dentist, was so genuine, I stayed tough and followed through. Following the surgery I was a bit paranoid about some things and nervous everything was going to turn out as my previous experiences. I called the lovely Jo who assured me I was not being a pain and went out of her way to organise some medication for me. Every contact I have had with this practice has been very professional, yet warm (I see this word is used a lot in reviews and it is the exact right word!) and friendly and most of all, very genuine. I am now a new person who can now smile without covering up my mouth. It is truly liberating to feel so "normal" for the first time in my adult life. And the amount of comments I have had about how well and how much younger I look, well, what can I say! Thanks to everyone I have met at this clinic for helping me make it through one of the biggest, scariest medical procedures of my life!

Fantastic experience: After moving to the area, my check and cleans are now a pain-free breeze! It would get a bit painful during the clean and quite sensitive afterwards at my old dentist, but Dr Theja's work is quicker and basically painless. He has also given me a root canal which went very smoothly, no hiccups or pain whatsoever. It honestly is a really good experience at Brunswick Family Dental. Dr Theja builds rapport with you effortlessly and the rest of the staff are friendly and professional also. I'm glad I found this dentist!

Fantastic experience: After a sleepless agonising night of pain, tried to book any dentist in Brunswick that was available to treat my endodontitis emergency. For my luck Brunswick Family Dental Surgery had an availability a few hours later. My true luck though was that I was treated by the soft handed Dr. Michael Seng and his kind assistant. He treated the root canals, filled them and made my tooth functional again without feeling any pain during his treatment. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I went in for a check up and polish as my bottom wisdom teeth were driving me nuts. Food kept getting stuck in there and they were inflamed. They saw me straight away, dentist was a hero and told me he could extract them a few days later and to be honest for a fair price compared to what I would be hit with in the UK. I was really nervous on the day because I'm a baby about this sort of stuff; they calmed me the whole time. I had a review check up a few days later and healing was going well, plus they didnt charge me for that one. Ladies at the reception are so lovely and helpful as well, one in particular sorted out the xrays for me while I was being seen to so I didn't have to do it myself. Definitely recommend these guys. Honestly the easiest health related issue I've had (and I've had a few yucky ones) to do and its been down to this dental practice being so warm and helpful :) thanks to all that helped me this past week :)

Negative experience: Rushed service, and a really rude dentist. Made jokes about British people all having bad teeth, then tried to convince me I needed to pay for tons of treatments that seemed excessive. Ended up going to a different dentist, where they told me most of these treatments weren't necessary and my teeth were healthy. Don't go here.

The dentist and staff that cared for me actually explained what was happening with my teeth and gums, what they could do to help and what I can also do to look after my own teeth better. the dentist was gentle and help me to take more attention to my own health. a great find!

Fantastic experience: I was recently recommended to this practice by a family member of mine and I loved it! I am usually a very anxious patient and I felt very comfortable and relaxed as the Hygienist cleaned my teeth and chatted away keeping my mind occupied. She was also very informative and happy to answer any questions. My Check up was completed by a lovely dentist who was also bubbly and bright! I was very Happy with this practice and I have recommended that the rest of my Family come along for their check ups too.

Negative experience: I went to this practice in the understanding that they were good. I have never been more rushed in a clinic in my life. They brought me in late, and after firing a load of treatment i "had to have" they kicked me out the door without explaining anything. My old dentist in WA would never have been so rude. GIVE THEM A MISS!
