Negative experience: Went here for years but after the change of ownership, the service declined. The new dentist I had was rough, kept poking/squeezing my lips/gums to the point where I was flinching and my eyes were watering. She told me I needed fillings, an issue that had never before been mentioned, and recommended a change in my permanent wire from braces but didn’t act on it. Decided to go to another clinic recently who was super gentle and caring, actually fixed the wire issue for me and most importantly, took X rays and said I do NOT need fillings. Seemed like a cash grab to be honest. Will not be coming back.

Fantastic experience: When I moved from Sydney to Melbourne two years ago, I had to find myself a new dentist. A friend recommended Dr Kamal Raj at Verve Dental. The recommendation was spot on. Dr Raj and his team could not be more friendly and professional. They even see you at the actual time of your appointment, which I find especially helpful and respectful. Their fees are very reasonable too.

Fantastic experience: 2020 has not been kind to many people and finding out I was going to lose a front tooth was not news I wanted to hear. I am so thankful that I sort treatment from Dr Raj and Verve Dental. From the first day I stepped into the building to the day I walked out with my completed Implant every single employee at Verve made me feel comfortable and confident that I had nothing to worry about. Dr Raj explained everything in a way I could understand, and even went out of his way to explain things that interested me about the process. His very specialised torque wrench is measured in Newton Centimetres. My Implant looks exactly like the adjacent tooth, and if I didn’t point it out, I’d be surprised if you could tell that it wasn’t a real tooth. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Raj to anyone needing Dental work done.

Fantastic experience: For someone who has a severe morbid fear of dentists and who avoids them like the plague, I cannot recommend Verve Dental enough. They are a small practice, super friendly and PAINFREE. I had to have treatment and a clean and it was completely painfree. Th hygienist and dentist are so gentle, it was amazing. I had a filling repaired, one that I had previously complained about to other dentists elsewhere and not one picked up that my tooth had a fracture. The fracture was spotted immediately and fixed. I have ready booked my next appointment for six months time.. check ups and cleans no longer scare me.

Fantastic experience: Having a phobia of dentists; and avoiding them for 8 or so years, I needed one after one of my teeth fell out. After Google reviews, and looking at quite a few- bit the bullet and phoned Verve Dentistry. Glennis soothed my nerves, was calm, serene and put me at ease. No judgement; just care. An appointment was made. Meeting Dr.Raj: calm, ultra gentle, concerned and caring. Wow. I wish I had found him sooner. Four sessions of cleaning with Nancy- ultra gentle with every session I went to, and no judgement. Back to Dr. Raj and Karyn who out lined a course of action- a denture was moulded, and today I finally have my smile back. Being an over 50, I have had some horrible experiences with dentists- which has made me avoid them like the plague. This surgery is small, caring and the staff just want the best outcome for you. Do it, Call and have faith in this wonderful group of people. Thank you Glennis, Nancy, Karyn and Dr. Raj. Two months till my next clean, and I'm not even blinking. This is my choice for ever.

Fantastic experience: I've recently started my Invisaline journey with Dr Raj at Verve Dental in East Bentleigh. Here was some of my thinking in choosing Invisaline with Dr Raj. - There are a lot of clear aligners out there to choose from but in the end I only felt confident going with a proven brand that has a track record of working. Especially if I’m going to be putting in the effort of wearing the aligners every day and night for 8+ months then I want it to work. - Changing the position of my teeth is not something to ‘mess with’ and take lightly. I would never want to do something to alter my body without being under proper medical supervision. - Dr Raj did all the impressions for me. I was really concerned about having to do my own impressions if I went with a different brand. I can't imagine how anyone can do this themselves and get an accurate and precise impression. And if the impressions aren’t done correctly, surely the whole exercise is a complete waste of time! So it was important to me to have an experienced dentist do this and to be confident that my teeth are moving in the right way. - Dr Raj put the little Invisalign “buttons” on my teeth which are there to ensure that the aligner is in the right position to move the teeth to their new positions. I feel like without these buttons the aligners would slip around too much and wouldn’t hold still/in the same position, and therefore wouldn’t apply enough pressure to move the teeth. - I LOVE the fact that I can check in with Dr Raj every few weeks to make sure everything is going ok and is on track. I had an issue with a tooth with a crown feeling a bit sensitive and I could get him to check it out and check that everything was going ok. I loved being able to ask questions and see the video of how my teeth will be progressing at each new aligner. - Dr Raj and his staff are super professional and friendly. I love how Dr Raj is always so keen to listen to my questions and answer them as well as he can. I love how they never make me feel like any of my questions are silly and how they want the best for me and my teeth! THANK YOU DR RAJ AND YOUR TEAM!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: I was a patient at Verve Dental for 8 years and recently visited a Bupa preferred provider to economise on my single parent budget.......the worst mistake I could make! It only took one visit elsewhere to realise this and I was back in Verve's door for serious repairs and work (abscess, root canal and partial crown)! Thank goodness for Dr Raj and the Verve team who fixed the issues caused by the other 'Dentist?' and I can smile again!
