Fantastic experience: Wow is maybe the best way to describe this dental practice. From the first minute I walked in I knew I was in the best hands . Dr Nitin Dhanani reassured me he could do everything I wanted. Then Virginia Salas - Oral Hygienist just amazing. I look forward to my dental appointments . I travel 3 hours just to see them and always walk out with a smile on my face. Also a shout out to the girls that also work there. You are all just so welcoming from the moment I walked in . Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone

Fantastic experience: TL;DR: This place is awesome and I'm will cure any dental anxiety. This is literally the best dental practice I've been to in 40 years of orthodontic care. The whole staff are welcoming, warm and genuine, and Dr Dhanani is pretty much a miracle worker. I've been told my whole life that my particular orthodontic situation would cost around $50k and require multiple surgeries and Dr Dhanani managed to fix it for about $7k surgery free.

Negative experience: the worst

Negative experience: I came here over 3 different appointments for my fillings and a clean. The first 2 appointments were done by a very kind and gentle doctor, I don’t know her name but I was really put to ease by her. For my last appointment however, I had Dr Nitin Dhanai. He was rough and could see that I was anxious and in pain and he did nothing about it. He did 2 fillings and I complained about the pain a few times an he kept saying “I don’t know why it’s hurting so much” and I said I had the other ones done by the lady doctor and didn’t feel and thing. He kept saying, “I don’t know how you didn’t feel her doing but you are in pain with me doing it.” The only other words he said to be during the procedure was conversation with one of the nurses about their weekend. I felt so shocked and distraught afterwards. I am now scared to return back Incase there is a chance I get seen by Dr Dhanai again. The 2 stars on my review are purely for the staff and female doctor I saw.

Fantastic experience: My family and I have been seeing Dr Nitin Dhanani for many years, and we honestly couldn’t ask for a better dentist. He is incredibly thorough, gentle, and genuinely cares about his patients. Whether it’s a routine check-up or more complex work, he always takes the time to explain everything and makes sure you’re comfortable. We’ve also had the pleasure of seeing Virginia Salas, the oral hygienist, who is equally wonderful. The whole team at the practice is friendly, professional, and welcoming. I’ve recommended Dr Dhanani to friends and family, and everyone has had the same excellent experience. If you’re looking for a dentist you can trust long-term, I highly recommend Dr Dhanani and his team!

Fantastic experience: Dr Dhanani made my wisdom tooth extraction a surprisingly smooth and stress-free experience. He explained everything clearly beforehand, and the procedure was quick and well-handled. Recovery was easier than I expected thanks to his care and guidance. Negative experience: I went in for a second attempt at removing an infected tooth—after another dentists had already tried and failed—only to endure one of the worst experiences of my life: - He administered seven separate anaesthetic shots, yet I still felt every tug and twist. He told me it was my anxiety that was causing me pain .. - Despite the numbing attempts, the procedure was agonising, far beyond any pain I’ve ever known. - I explicitly told him the tooth had been stubborn for other professionals, but he brushed off my concerns, insisting he could “do it better.” His massive ego and arrogance drove him to push on—seemingly to avoid referring me to an oral surgeon and to collect extra fees. - After all that, he still couldn’t extract the tooth. I ended up in hospital with my face severely swollen and in distress. I'm still traumatised. They're lucky I'm not taking them to court.

Negative experience: WORST DENTIST EVER

Fantastic experience: I simply cannot express enough gratitude for the high level of service delivery received. Virginia (oral hygienist) has the most compassionate and grounded bedside manner. I never once thought that I would be saying I look forward to my dentist appointment but I sincerely do. I did my research before engaging this team to treat my gums and teeth and it’s paid off. Fantastic experience: The dental hygienist here is so gentle, patient and efficient! Today's six month clean was pain-free, which is extraordinary when you have sensitive teeth. All of our children see Dr Nitin for orthodontic work - one has a plate, one has invisaline, and one has braces. We are very happy with Dr Nitin's work & glad to have found Figtree Family Dental

Negative experience: I don’t know what’s happened to Dr Dhanani and his dental surgery….. where do I start. First of all I’m stunned by the way Dr Dhanani and his team have changed since moving from Dapto to Figtree. When the team was operating in the Dapto clinic, they were all super friendly, caring, understanding and respectful. Now since moving to Figtree Dr Dhanani especially has become very rude, egotistical and straight up disrespectful. First he shamed me for going to another dentist when I needed an urgent appointment that day because of the pain I was in. He then quoted me thousands and thousands of dollars for a few fillings. He then went to pointed out, in a very belittling way that I needed a lot more work done to my teeth when my previous dentist said my teeth were fine. I think he’s turned into a money scammer.. watch out

Fantastic experience: Dr Chintan was absolutely amazing yesterday. He went above and beyond to ensure my Dental emergency was dealt with, with care and minimal to no pain. Fantastic experience: What a great service, very professional, very friendly and fun to attend. I had a chipped tooth and I could not get in to see my own dentist so I randomly rang this provider and the friendly receptionist was very helpful and arranged an appointment that same day. The staff were very friendly and fun. It seemed they were glad to be there and fun loving. This made me feel very welcome, seeing that I suffer from being extremely anxious with dental issues. I fully recommend this practice to anyone who needs dental intervention and so comfortable attending.

I have avoided wisdom tooth removal for close to twenty years and today, had them out, in the chair within minutes with absolutely zero pain. Fantastic experience: I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional care and compassion I received from Dr. Nitin Dhanani and the entire Figtree Family Dental team during one of the most challenging periods of my life. A few months before my wedding, I had a gnarly bike accident that left me with major injuries in my teeth and body. The ER couldn't do much on a Sunday night, so I was sent home where I spent the night in pain and panic. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and understanding receptionist. Despite a busy schedule, Dr. Nitin Dhanani and his team showed incredible kindness by accommodating me immediately. Even in my state of distress, they treated me with care and respect, addressing both my physical and emotional pain. I was immediately treated with laser therapy that brought relief to my facial and bodily injuries, and by the early afternoon, I had temporary teeth that allowed me to eat and speak again. Throughout the week that followed, the team continued to treat me with laser therapy, which significantly improved my healing process. The severity of my injuries required two implants and several fillings, which I was devastated about. I told Dr. Dhanani about my fear of not having a beautiful smile for my wedding. He ensured that I would have beautiful temporary teeth and that my facial injuries would be healed by then. This promised was kept and despite having temporary teeth during my special day, they looked stunning. All my friends and family mentioned how they could not even tell they were not my real teeth. Several months later I had made a full recovery and had my beautiful new implants installed. The visits were not always easy for me as I was so traumatised by the accident. Sometimes I would experience tremors and tear up in the chair. Despite all my emotional setbacks Dr Dhanani showed me patience and kindness and would talk to me about my fears, which had significantly positive impact on how I was able handle my visits. Figtree Family Dental not only restored my physical well-being but also supported me emotionally during a harrowing time. Their dedication to patient care goes above and beyond, and I am forever grateful for the beautiful smile they helped me regain. Fantastic experience: I cannot speak highly enough of this wonderful dental clinic, after nearly 20 years of being loyal to another dental clinic in Wollongong who failed after 7 years of complaining of a very painful tooth which required a root canal they instead referred me to a very expensive dental specialist who had me waiting for 3 months for an appointment. Unfortunately 2 weeks shy of that appointment I couldn't stand the pain any longer and phoned Dr Dhanani who fitted me in immediately and did a root canal. I always had a fear of block injections after previous experiences but Dr Dhanani has put that fear to bed as I have had severa l now with him and never felt a thing. It's so good to be out of pain now. Dr Dhanani would have to be the best dentist on the planet he is so good at what he does, no pain felt, puts you at ease and has a very friendly reassuring demeanour. Very impressed with the technology he uses it's amazing. I can't thank you enough Dr Dhanani for everything you have done for me. Thankyou also to your wonderful team of staff they are fantastic. They are indeed very friendly and available for you, no hiding costs, everything is well explained and fair. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the clinicians professional, skilled and attentive. The procedures that I had included teeth cleaning and root canal. I also consulted Dr Dhanani to have braces fitted and although it’s a work in progress I am extremely pleased with the results so far and the treatment I have received. Fantastic experience: Highly recommended! I went to see Nitin wanting vanners as I had bad teeth and a horrible smile. Nitin is great to deal with. He took the time to check my teeth multiple times to ensure he was able to offer me the best smile possible. NO grinding or shaving my teeth down was involved. With no preparation to any of my teeth, he was able to give me too 10 porcelain vaneers. They look natural and do not feel bulky or unnatural giving me a smile that I am proud about. Thanks to nitin I feel comfortable and confident everyday to smile and overall rate the whole experience a 10/10.

Fantastic experience: I have taken my 2 sons to Dr Nitin for orthodontist work. He has all the latest updates and techniques for treatment. 2 other orthodontists suggested they would have to pull 4-6 teeth out and Dr Nitin suggested no teeth would need to be pulled out using up to date techniques. My eldest son has the straightest teeth after only having braces on for 12 months. My youngest son might not have to have braces due to using an expander. I would recommend Dr Nitin to all parents

Niton who did my works has a great honest and friendly team, No time wasted and gets the job done a fair price and you don't fill like you have been ripped off or had something done not needed. Positive experience: I went there for the first time checkup. Having no health fund to pay for my dental care i called prior and confirmed my checkup and they told they will charge me 200$ for cleaning and checkup including consultation. But i had some issues with my oral health and ended up just with check up but no cleaning. They did not tell me if they were doing anything extra. They charged me 180$ and stated it included discount. Staffs were very friendly but i am disappointed to be charged that way. And it all went out of my pocket.

The professionalism and warm natured Dr was a pleasant surprise from my past experiences. He took the time to explain every procedure that I required and the reasons as to why I needed them and gave examples . The staff have all been very accommodating, patient and very easy to deal with and the facilities and building are first class. Very nice location. I have felt very comfortable upon each visit. Fantastic experience: Each time I attend Figtree Family Dental for any of my dental needs, I immediately feel welcome and comfortable. The practice is filled with a such a kind and energetic team of staff, that have a very welcoming approach to making each patient feel relaxed and comfortable. I went in for a general clean and the hygienist was very kind, incredibly gentle and I was able to feel relaxed throughout the whole procedure. Fantastic experience: I suffer from severe anxiety when it comes to dental procedures and usually cry in the chair which is highly embarrassing, in the past dentists have made it very clear how inconvenient this is for them further exacerbating my reactions to attending the dentist. I was recommended Dr Dhanani by a friend and gave it a go, he is so honestly caring and understanding, I had wisdom teeth pulled with zero bruising and nothing but patience and compassion. Pricing was amazing, as I do not have dental cover and pay upfront I really appreciate that aspect also. After delaying dental procedures for over a decade im so glad I have finally found somebody I can trust and wish I had found him earlier.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended! Dr. Nitin Dhanani is an amazing dentist. I was initially recommended Dr Nitin after having issues with an infected tooth. He could see I was in much discomfort however put me at ease with his gentle and caring nature. I have since had further implant work done which was completed seamlessly as Dr Nitin uses the most current technology which takes the guess work out of the process. A truly professional and experienced dentist that has a real passion for his work. I could not be happier with Dr Nitin and his team.

After some disappointing treatments with other dentists I was so lucky to be able to meet Mrs Yung at such a pivitol time for my teeth and gums. Fantastic experience: Dr Nitin Dhanani has got to be the best dentists and ortho out there. Having had a long break between visits over the years and suffering anxiety and panic attacks, Nitian has been calm and sensitive to my fears. He and the team go above and beyond to make sure I understand what needs to happen and the best way to achieve a good outcome. The practice has lots of natural light which is also really welcoming. I would never go anywhere else and always tell people where I go. Dr Yung Starling also goes above and beyond. She understood my fears and understood I hadn't been to a dentist in years and she was patient and kind. The best team!

I found the initial clean fantastic and the rest of the procedures really good and professional and also appreciated that they worked with my finances. Couldn’t recommend more.

Fantastic experience: I couldnt be happier to recommend this Dentist. He did a wonderful job, with a very complex issue.i have 5 implants in the upper jaw, and a partial denture on the bottom. I was quoted twice as much by other dentists, who bearly understood what was required. He made my Christmas, and am actually looking forward to going back for a checkup.

Fantastic experience: Been to many dentists over the years..after leaving all of which I was unhappy..out of pocket and in pain..I was reluctant to try yet another dentist.. But am sooo happy I took a chance and booked in with figtree family dental! Dr. Nitin Dhanani is amazing!!! Not only is he knowledgeable..experienced and an all round great dentist, he is a warm and kind man and you can just tell he really cares about his patients..always taking the time to explain things clearly and making sure you are comfortable. The pricing at this clinic is amazing too..how they do it I dont know as everyone else charges double the price. I have been there a few times now, and still have a way to go but in one 45 min appt Dr. Nitin Dhanani changed my whole outlook on the dental industry..how my teeth look and how I feel about myself in the confidence department..we arnt even done and I feel a million bucks, so glad I listened to his suggestions and went ahead with the treatment. So all in all great dr..great staff..great prices and a great facility..best in the gong..highly recommend..I know I won't be going anywhere else.
