Fantastic experience: Highly recommend. Dr Pooni removed one of my molars yesterday. It was so quick, about 6 minutes, prompting me to ask ‘is it already out?’ Pooni is an excellent, friendly and competent dentist. Thanks also to the lovely assistant who gave me the stress balls and held my head from the back which was so calming. Thanks for squeezing me in too. Such a great dentist clinic. 10/10

I recently did a wisdom tooth extraction. The extraction was done on time and was done by Dr.Arun. He was very friendly and did the extraction smoothly. I also had to revisit post extraction and he was very understanding.

Fantastic experience: Positove Dental is quite simply the best practice in Canberra. My 2 teenage sons and I have been patients of Dr Poornima Nayak for a good number of years now, and we would not go anywhere else. I have referred many of my friends and family to the practice, and they feel exactly the same. Dr Poornima is a very thorough and gentle dentist who takes the time to explain everything to her patients, putting their minds at ease.

They have considerable experience and a genuine desire to achieve the best results. They won’t rush you through or adopt a “near enough is good enough mentality”. They have achieved results with me where other dentists have failed, and they have done so seemingly with ease. They are world class dentists and yet they represent an affordable option as they don’t overcharge. Without hesitation I sincerely recommend these two dentists for you and your family.

Negative experience: I’ve been 3-4 times, Not happy even after spent a lot of money and time, now going to another dentist next week.

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience seeing Dr Leah Magnaye. She was so easy to connect to, extremely professional and one of the most understanding and compassionate dentists I’ve ever had. She has the lightest hand and I never felt uncomfortable or uneasy even once during the treatment. Fantastic experience: Dr Nagesh Chakka and Dr Poornima are very professional dentists. I was having spacing issue in my front tooth and always unconfident to smile and I had dental implant in front tooth which had many challenges for treatment. But then when I visited Dr Poornima today she has done dental fillings on my front tooth and i had a new bright smile which is absolutely incredible! Just made my day. Fantastic experience: Truly the most caring and amazing dentist is Dr Nagesh Chakka. As my other reviews might indicate, I have had absolutely the most horrid experiences with other doctors - their treatment was below par to say the least. Truly wrecked and needing corrective as well as preventative work, Nagesh took me under his professional wing. He is never critical and is always caring. He listens carefully and would always investigate niggling gum/tooth/root issues until he found an answer - and he did that successfully. His other members of staff also hold that same high value of consistent care towards the rest of my family. It is my honest opinion that if you are struggling with your teeth, need a supportive and exemplary professional to care for your dental needs or want to leave the dentist after an appointment feeling confident that you have had your teeth wholly cared for, then this clinic is definitely for you. Negative experience: Probably the worst dentist experience I've had, Dr Arun took absolutely no time or care to not stab at my gums the entire time, even when it was very obviously causing significant pain he just kept on going. My gums were still bleeding 6 hours after. Not sure how the rest of the dentists are but would strongly recommend against him.

They make me and my family feel so at ease and comfortable. Never alarmist, such kind and supportive. I've finally found a dentist I feel comfortable with. Fantastic experience: My experience was one of a professional, knowledgeable and kind man who tells it as it is. Just my type. My treatment was though extensive was pleasant. I have heard whilst in reception some patients who have been financially challenge treated with respect and have received an agreeable payment offer. Despite my fears, Dr Poornina was absolutely fabulous and restored my faith in dentists. Seriously! I had a tooth extracted and she was so efficient and professional. My family and I just recently moved to Canberra and were anxious to find a dental practice as good as the one I went to frequently in my home town. Fantastic experience: I got my "front filling" replacement in February 2020 at Positive Dental Health in Canberra. Dental treatment in Australia is very expensive, particularly for an international student who has no dental-related private insurance. I was so lucky as Dr Nagesh Chakka, PhD did the treatment. He did the job very well. I am very satisfied with the result. He is so professional. The procedure went very smoothly, she made sure I was comfortable and not in pain throughout, she took the time to explain the reason for my issues and offer advice (without me even asking), and she also made sure I was being covered correctly by my insurance. Hotel-level service from start to finish. PDH is my new regular dental clinic.

Fantastic experience: Outstanding patient care. Dr Anujha Eswararaj is an excellent dentist who has completely changed my whole attitude to dentist visits. I had some awful experiences as a kid and have dreaded visiting the dentist for years, but am completely calm when I'm being treated by Dr Eswararaj - so much so, that I've brought my wife and three kids along too - and they all feel the same way. Because of my fear and avoidance of dentists, I required three fillings straight up, but they were essentially painless. Extremely satisfied and grateful!

Fantastic experience: Dr Sushma Penugonda is the best dentist ever, I have my appointmentbat 4.30pm which near to their closing hours however she still being very professional and very very helpful. And her dental assistant is nice as well, they did not because of near to closing hours and rush to help me but they choose to provide me a good service and taking care of me. Fantastic experience: Having a previously root-canaled tooth falling apart piece by piece with a massive cracked filling, I started looking for a decent dentist around fearing a huge bill at the end and found this place on the internet. At the second appointment with Dr Nagesh, he fixed three of my teeth. The massive cracked old filling is gone, and he reshaped a new tooth out of thin air on top of the remaining roots. It looks and feels good - feels better than a crown (I have two crowns on other teeth). He’s very skilled, hardworking, honest and affordable. The tooth he recreated is the state of the art. I definitely recommend them.

We were so scared and we took her to Positive Dental health without prior appointment. They fixed it immediately without any waiting time and we are so glad and respect their professional service. Fantastic experience: Nagesh and Poornima are our family dentists for more than 10-12 years now. First time I got treatment from them was when I had to get my tooth pulled out very urgently due to a failed root canal. Nagesh luckily could make space for me in his appointment book that day more than 10 years back. He has the knack of making difficult procedures fairly painless. I have been recommending this husband and wife team to all my friends. We have followed them all these years to whichever clinic they practiced at. It is good to see that they now have their own clinic. I can guarantee you that you will have a positive dental experience with them.

Fantastic experience: Poornima Nayak is a very good dentist. She is experienced, confident and skilful. She is gentle with clients, interacts with them positively and knows how to keep them at ease and happy. I had a metal clip put in and a tooth extraction done and was surprised at how painless the procedures were, when she does it. Poornima takes care to inform you of everything that's going on, advises you on what to do afterwards, and asks you to call her or drop in if there is any problem. There wasn't any.
