Fantastic experience: You are probably reading this because you have a dental problem. Quick one: Just go see Dr. Sarah Won she'll solve all your dental problems. She's honest, diligent, skillful, highly knowledgeable and professional. I guess not all dentists can find hairline crack but Dr. Sarah did with such a ease. I rocked up with a defect from another dentist but she fixed everything. You'll thank me later for this timetested over 6 months review. You're welcome. Elaborated: I did my general dental check up at my usual dentist(not DDSS somewhere else recommended to me years ago) and during check up I heard something crack. Didn't take too serious at the time- Could have been scaling drill etc. thought I was being sensitive. Came home and pain started to creep in crescendo and BAAM! I revisited the same dentist within an hour again to have another look into it. Did xrays and all sorts of tests only to scratch forehead. Next day, (still in pain) I just pulled my socks up and went to work. For morning tea, I tried to have something soft not to offend my tooth - an overcooked udon to be specific. First "half" bite an excruciating pain drives me absolute mental. So what do you do? That's right - you guessed it. You call your better half. Got lectured(as we husbands do) on why I should have listened to her and should have gone to DDSS at first place etc.. Then and only then she booked in to see Dr. Sarah for me. Luckily Dr. Sarah was available but at Wynyard (She's also available in Eastwood somedays) so I had to travel all the way from Smeaton Grange(work) but I tell you - Boy it was worth it. Dr. Sarah took xray as well but! *drum roll-* .... *Ba Dum Tsss* in 3D and found the hairline crack so easily that I was dumbfounded. And most importantly, Dr. Sarah made my dental pain go away. I know she said don't eat chewy or hard things for time being but.. life is short and carpe diem kicked in so I had steak for dinner and can you believe it? I was chewing as if nothing happened. So moral of the story comes down to two things. 1. Listen and do as your wife says. 2. Go see Dr. Sarah Won for all your dental problems or just general check up etc. Hope this helps everyone out there in search of dentist that is honest, trustworthy, skillful and professional but most importantly being able to actually find the root problem and give solutions - fixing your dental problems. Just go see Dr. Sarah. And yes this review is long long overdue meaning time tested over 6 months. I'm still chewing fine with no pain. Many thanks!

Negative experience: To begin, I have been a patient since 2018, seeking treatment to restore my dental health. I have undergone various procedures, including check-ups, cleanings, scans, and extractions. My primary concerns were the loss of my front teeth and the gaps between my teeth, which I desired to correct. In order to address the missing front teeth, I underwent bone grafting and implant placement. Prior to that, I underwent braces for approximately three years, followed by a bone graft and subsequent implant placement. Regarding the braces, the cost varied significantly, with the plastic option ranging from $4-4,500 and the standard Invisalign treatment costing around up to $6500 i think by that time.Of course, the Invisalign is made of plastic, and I find it quite challenging to use as it breaks easily. I had to complain about it because the quality varies. Some are hard, while others are easy to use and last for about a month. Looking back to the year when I had to stop using the Invisalign everyday, Dr. Ryan Chou advised me to use retainer only at night. Initially, I was hesitant about the reason behind this instruction. The issue arose when I got my implants. After 6 months, I noticed a gap reappearing in my lower teeth. I consulted with Dr. Ryan again and explained that my dentist in my home country had advised me to wear a retainer full-time due to having some missing teeth. I spoked to the manager lady about the retainer issue, and with my bottom teeth having gaps again. She was nice and understanding about this concern. She helped me out with the retainer replacement and changed the quality of it. But my bottom teeth gap was not resolved. If the doctor had recommended daily usage of the retainer, it would have been more effective in preventing the teeth from moving again or maybe give me other alternative aside from the plastic retainer which other clinic i consult give me that option.. However, I was advised to use it only at night, which was insufficient. Consequently, I am dissatisfied with the outcome and the request for additional payment to rectify the problem. This seems unfair, considering the treatment advice about using retainer was inadequate. By the way the braces (invisilign) and retainer is the same quality. I still have them right now. Moving forward, I have made the decision not to return to this clinic for further implant procedures. Instead, I will seek out a different clinic that can provide me with more appropriate advice and better service. Front staff are good. -Gief A.

Fantastic experience: Very overdue review I’m really happy I have found this surgery. That’s my opinion after three years of being under the care of Dr Victor Tsang and his kind and professional team. In 2021 I consulted the major dental implant clinics in Sydney to get a front tooth implant. All of them were the top-notch clinics and the last one to visit was DDSS. During the visit Dr Tsang explained in detail the advantages of DIO implants. The first one is the method of placing the implant, which is done without cutting of the gum, just a keyhole procedure. I found it very convincing. Also, he uses a different type of abutment than most of other clinics that some researchers back up as a better solution. And the next is the modern way of making the artificial tooth that is as good as traditional but easier to replace and more cost effective. I was convinced to trust Dr Tsang and I must say it was a great investment because the new tooth really feels like real and looks very nice. Additionally, it’s been always a pleasure to visit his clinic for the regular implant check-ups. I highly recommend Dr Tsang digital dental surgery if you need a very good dental implant that will not cost you an arm and a leg. Just don’t forget to ask him a question about an interesting topic and enjoy listening to him talking with your mouth wide open.

Fantastic experience: In 2018 DDSS gave me 4 implants, including what seems to have been a perfectly executed sinus lift. I have been completely happy with their competence & friendly professionalism. In 2021, knowing that I will soon lose a tooth due to a cavity too low down to treat, I am getting two more implants from them. I really like the 3D computer imagery technology that DDSS use, which marries an OPG x-ray with a movie-camera-generated 3D computer model. This lets DDSS's technicians 3D-print drill-guides solely based on their computer model for my mouth, and it is impressive to feel their drill-guides perfectly fit onto my adjoining teeth, first go, every time. It is even more impressive to realise the drill-guides fit my teeth so exactly that they are hard work for my dentist to remove them at the end of each implant procedure, but that means the drill-guides guide his drill into my jaw-bone with rock-solid rigidity and precision, which is what you want!! (I could trust Ryan to aim his drill relying on his manual dexterity, but I far prefer him relying on the computer-generated drill-guide! No disrespect Ryan, but who needs Murphy's Law in your mouth.) I am not expert at evaluating DIO implants compared to other brands, but I was satisfied enough with the research I could do that I got 4 of their implants inserted into my jaw, and now I am getting two more. I have noticed competitor websites attempting to spread what I concluded was false-FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, & Doubt) about DIO implants, but I concluded these were merely nasty hindrances to getting implants at a much more reasonable price.

Negative experience: I went to have my teeth templated for 3D printing today, but the hygiene there was really problematic. I found that the procedure was quite substandard because the gun which they used for templating the teeth was not cleaned and sanitised properly. Before putting into my mouth I could literally see that it was pretty dirty and has been reused without proper cleaning and sanitisation. That is to say, it puts me onto a substantial risk of getting infectious diseases eg. HIV or COVID. It is a highly unnerving experience that I have ever had, and I would not recommend anyone to use them for 3D printing their teeth. Get someone else who’s more professional, careful and more attention to details!
