Negative experience: Worst experience I got a message saying that I'm 2 years overdue for a checkup I went in they asked if I had a dental voucher I told them no they said that's fine they never told me from the start that I had to pay there was no messages indicating that I had to pay I go through the checkup they decided to clean my teeth while they were at it without telling me that it was going to cost extra when I was leaving they told me that it was going to be 190 dollars which I wouldn't have had a problem paying but I didn't have the money at the time and as far as I was concerned it was just a check up they should have explained to me that it was going to be a payment that day which they never did they never explained that it was going to cost 190 dollars as I said I would have been happy to pay but I didn't have the money at the time I would have told them to push the appointment back until I have the money but nobody told me then they offered me a one-time payment plan which they're not meant to do which will be pay 50 dollars now and the rest when I got the money and I wasn't sure if they were scamming me because it wouldn't be written down if it's not something they usually do but they were doing it for me one time only I have visited this dentist in the past multiple times and every time I have gone there I have gone with a dental voucher I am on the disability pension and I have never been able to pay with cash that's why I always go through Sydney dental hospital and get the voucher they are a great dentist but they should have told me that it was going to be 190 dollars from the start which they never did I recommend anybody going there in the future to ask them before having treatment just in case they tried doing the same to other people

Fantastic experience: After 16 years of suffering from dental anxiety, I had to have a dental check up prior to heart surgery. Dr Ann Maree Baby was excellent, showing strong communication skills and the ability to project a demeanour that enabled me to relax and leave my teeth to her capable hands. Following a top and bottom deep clean, 2 fillings and for extractions, I can confidently say that my anxiety has completely disappeared, leaving me in no doubt as to whether I will return for another check up or further dental work. Negative experience: Went in for a basic cleaning session and it was a quite a painful experience. My gums got really sore in the evening and overnight I woke up in pain, took an ibuprofen but I was still in pain, took me another 2 hours for the pain to settle..and I have woken up with a very painful left jaw, I can’t open my mouth without feeling pain/sore (despite on ibuprofen). I have been to multiple dental clinics my whole life and never before I had experience immersed amount of pain after a basic cleaning and scaling.The extra star is for the friendliness of the staffs.

Fantastic experience: Keivan is incredible he's the best dentist I've ever experienced . Fully comfortable environment and he makes an effort to politely explain what he's doing and make you calm and talks you through the procedure and educates you along the way to make you know causes and potential prevention in future of dental issues. Didn't feel any discomfort in my filling and the pain I had went away a day after visiting

Fantastic experience: I would like to share my experience with Dr Ann on sat 18/02/23. I booked an appointment at 11:30 and I reached there at 11:50 due to traffic and the whole team was waiting for me and they welcome me with a warm smile without any complaints about the delay. The clinic normally closes at 2 pm but the entire team was waiting until 3 :30 pm and did all the fillings and cleaning in a most professional way without any rush. Last few weeks I wasn’t able to chew on both sides and Dr Ann clear all my issues. My deepest gratitude to Dr Ann for the extended hours of her service. It was a wonderful experience and I am so happy to recommend Dr Ann for any complex dental issues, hence her service is so professional and well experienced. Positive experience: UPDATE: Mascot Dental Centre were made aware of the situation via this google review and offered the crown procedure at a heavily discounted rate given the misunderstanding. They have apologised, assisted in rectifying the unnecessary expenses and done what they can to keep me as a returning client. Much appreciated. I presented to Mascot Dental Centre in February 2022 with ongoing issues associated with one tooth and it’s failed fillings and uncomfortable sensitivity. To date, I have spent upwards of $1,600 at the clinic (not including what private health covered) for check ups, failed fillings and X-rays, having only recently agreeing to a root canal treatment on this tooth. During this treatment, a fragment of the file that they use broke off in a canal. Because of this, I was referred to a specialist endodontist to attempt to resolve the issue and finish the root canal. I understand there are risks and these things can happen, but the fact that there was no apology or discount offered on the incomplete work, as well as no discussion of potential costs if referral was required, left me quite disappointed. All up now, after specialist treatment, I have spent $4,500 on a tooth that was giving me grief in February and I’m yet to have a crown put in place $$$. The staff are lovely, but no one who has to fork out this much money on one tooth can be impressed.

Negative experience: I booked an appointment, came 2 mins early and waited for more than 45 mins. I had to rush to come only to be kept waiting. And then they rushed my appointment as well. Do not recommend.

Fantastic experience: Dr Haidy Bastorous is amazing! The rest of the staff are also very well accomodating. I’ve had a few visits over the past year for cleaning and a tooth extraction where local anaesthetic was involved. They gave me enough to not feel anything and comforted me through the whole process. I also had to book a last minute cleaning to prepare for my Invisalign treatment with my orthodontist and had to book a different dentist whom I forgot the name to apologies. She was able to treat me was exceptional as well! Overall, I am always satisfied with the service the staff at Mascot Dental Centre have provided me. Thank you!

Negative experience: Worst experience ever. My husband and I went to this place once in Dec 2020 and we never go back. This is the biggest scam I have seen, and it seems that many people who gave this 5 star review still don’t understand how they got scammed, or perhaps those are fake ratings. They will always tell you that your teeth have cavities and you’d need at least a major root canal. They told both my husband and I that each of us have 3/4 cavities. My husband believed them and they did an awful job on him. I didn’t believe them and went to another dental clinic, got a radiography and got my teeth checked out again: all my teeth were perfect! The irony is I went there for a cleaning, and they didn’t even clean half of my teeth! I only realized when I got back home. Being heavily pregnant, I didn’t have the energy to complain. Do yourself a favour and never ever go to this place!

Negative experience: Poor service Dentist would not listen to what I wanted more interested in extra procedures for more money My name is here the appointment was January 2019. The dentist would not listen to what I wanted preformed. She wanted to take x Ray which I said I would get done next time as I had only had one 6 months prior. She then told me I needed a filling . Next minute with out warning was putting a needle in my mouth. I got up to walk out your nurse told me I was rude . I made an appointment with another dentist that afternoon at a different practice. Hey did exactly as I asked and at the end of the appointment I asked if I needed a filling he said no. I see him every 6 months. So now 3 visits on he still doesn't think I need that filling. He also commented he has had several people with a similar experience for your practice.

Negative experience: DO NOT BELIEVE THESE REVIEWS As I sat in the foyer, there was a sign saying 'Give us a good review on Google/Facebook to get a discount' which already told me that this place is corrupt. Dr Sam called me in 15 mins late for my appointment, did not introduce himself nor did his assistant. The room was small and I felt like I'm some third world country lab. Dr Sam seemed uninterested in my appointment, barely looked into my mouth and did not go into details about the invisalign treatment - I had to prompt him and ask questions based on what I've learnt online. He also refused to give me a written quote and only gave a verbal one with a rough estimate on how long the treatment will take and cost. Stay away from this place!!!

Sam is the best dentist I have been to - in particular it is his ability to assess and manage difficult problems. He has done 2 dental implants which went very smoothly.
