Negative experience: I took my niece to clinic at the start of the year 2025 was told my she had 6 holes turns out that is not true. They took all her funding of $1000 and wanted $200 out of pocket as well. I would be checking with another dentist that what wallan dental are not misleading and over charging you for care that was not needed.

Negative experience: So I had appointment and then they started checking my teeth and the dentist was cleaning my teeth so hard I thought it broke and they even scratch near my lip. So don't go to this Wallan dental.

Negative experience: PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE. Horrible experience. Went in to get a checkup & clean done almost 4 weeks ago, was told I needed a few fillings, I got a filling done as advised and the dentist caused permanent nerve damage. Despite her fault, they would not offer any treatment to fix it, leaving me with no choice but to do an extraction or a root canal. My mother also had a horrible experience where they left broken pieces of teeth in her gums causing so many issues. Avoid!!!

Negative experience: I came here to get some fillings and since I left up until now (4 months later) I have been unable to chew on either side, and now experience pain on my lower left teeth even just drinking room temperature water. They completely ruined my teeth and chewing is now painful and difficult for me. I called after it first happened and told them I wanted it rectified but they said they’d still be charging me. Don’t go here

Fantastic experience: Dr Gagan is a fantastic dentist and all his staff are lovely

Negative experience: 3 years ago I went to this dentist… Dr Gagan Hira said that I needed a root canal on one of my teeth (not surprising his online info says “Gagan enjoys all aspects of dentistry with a particular interest in Root Canal Therapy”) I didn’t want to do a root canal so I left it and 6 months later I went to another dentist who said it only needed a filling. Fast forward to recently I visited another dentist for a checkup and the tooth has no problems at all. He also tried to repair my broken metal permanent retainer paid $200 for it to fall off again less than a week later, didn’t bother going back. The assistant and reception was nice though and good facilities.

Negative experience: My son had to fill a chip tooth on a friday was there maximum of 10 minutes, less than 24 hours later, and it fell out not open on a Saturday, so I couldn't get it re filled had to go somewhere else and was there for more than 40 minutes to re fill and no worries after that Call to ask what the issue was, and all that was said is no refunds just come back we will re fill it Will never go back

With another infection on it I knew it needed to be done but I am so scared of dentist. These guys put me at ease, they gave me options but ultimately the tooth needed to go the surgical doctor who removed it can't remember his name but he was quick no mucking around no going back I'm so glad it's done! Fantastic experience: Phenomenal!! The first time I went I was a nervous wreck and completely jaded from past experiences with people calling themselves dentists. The staff there really took this on board and figuratively held my hand through the first appointment without an iota of judgement. I've since been back several times and it has changed my mind about how horrifying dentist clinics can be. Every member of staff I have encountered there exudes their characteristic warm-hearted, people-centred focus. The surgical staff radiate calm and reassurance, while also being highly skilled - I have not experienced any pain and have healed without any issues. I never thought I would be in a position to regain my dental hygiene, but I'm so grateful to the beautiful people at Wallan Dental for their understanding and kindness.

Negative experience: Tammy and girls at reception were amazing, however I waited 40 minutes to be seen, was asked to do x-rays ($60) for a general consultation unnecessarily, and were shown profiles of patients disclosing personal details, full names and photos for a comparison...breach of privacy? Would not recommend sadly as I have been coming here for years, but this were a terrible experience

Fantastic experience: No waiting when you book appointments here very professional staff Good prices and suggested how to stop fillings from other dentists falling out They said get a crown on the teeth Every dentist I had been to over 20 years never said to get a crown maybe because when you get a crown you don’t have to fix your fillings So much cheaper than getting filling every 6 months and less pain than waiting to get your fillings put back in with the needles Thanks to the amazing staff and the dentist Jackie beveridge

Negative experience: Beware of dodgey dentist who will fabricate that you have problems with your teeth when you don't so he can't keep you coming back! Came here last week as I thought I had a bit of decay on my tooth, the dentist tried to say that I needed 5 fillings, a crown and/or a veneer on my tooth that has a filling on it (mind you it is hardly noticeable) he also said he seen evidence of grinding. He then puts on my quote a $680 splint!! Without even really asking me he put all these things on the quote which came to a astronomical eye watering amount of $3,200!!! This was obviously a shock so I decided to get a second opinion who told me that a crown would actually do more damage than good on my tooth as it would destroy the tooth and I quote "what that dentist was going to do was a travesty and gives dentists a bad name"! He also said the "5 fillings" that I apparently needed were so minuscule that he didn't even want to do anything to these teeth and said $200 per filling was a joke. As for the splint, this dentist said he couldn't see ANY evidence of grinding! Unbelievable! Please look around for other dentists, this dentist is an absolute rip off and so dodgey to try and keep you coming back when you don't need to! Reply to owner - as I don't have a gmail account, I have used my friends to make this review so you won't find me on your system. And I understand there are many dental clinics in Wallan, I went to your one and seen Dr Prashanth Tatagari.

Fantastic experience: Staff both front of house and also in the surgery area are always accommodating and super friendly. The patient comes first and the staff are gentle and speedy. All options are discussed and plans put in place to assist with structure of billing and approach to timing so that cost impact is lessened wherever possible with or without private insurance. Great people here. Our whole family has moved to area 6 years ago and dental care was a big tick box that needed filling. That tick was easily completed with this team.

Negative experience: I don't know where Gagan hira got his degree from. Went for checkup and clean first time, didnt do xrays or check. Picked up his machine and ran it on my teeth for 2 minutes and said we are done. The assistant came back when i was paying and said we will do your xrays on next visit (without checkup how could he even touch anything on teeth) . Worst dentist ever. Told my wife not to take kids there for anything. Receptionist and assistant lady were really nice though.

Fantastic experience: The staff at the clinic were very friendly and welcoming. They were very professional and responded to all queries promptly. I had called the clinic for an appointment next day, however they were able to slot me in on the same day as I had a very painful tooth. The doctor attended to me and was able to perform the tooth extraction on the same day. I never hoped the service would be so fast and easy. Strongly recommend anyone who needs to see a dentist.

Fantastic experience: Just wanted to give a huge shout out to Wallan Dental who have been amazing with my 8 year old son who is autistic . The patience and professional services are amazing . Allison the dental hygienist is top of the pops with kids . My son and her have bonded and gained each others trust to build a bond where she can now inspect and clean his teeth . We go every 6 weeks so we can continue to build on the relationship. Previously my son wouldn’t even sit in the chair let alone have someone actually do stuff to his teeth . Fantastic experience: First time attending this surgery, as I had found myself with a Chipped tooth. Found them through my Health Engine App, booked online very easily. I must say, I have never, felt as comfortable, going into a Dental office as I had felt when I attended Wallan Dental. The feel as you walk in wasn’t what I was expecting, which was alike to every office I’ve been into over the last two decades, a cold, sterile smelling scary place that makes the anxiety start to rise, one or two steps into the door. But at Wallan Dental. The welcoming comfortable warm atmosphere, was a actually pleasant surprised. Making me instantly feel even less nervous then… walking into any other dreaded dental clinic in the first place. The front desk ladies were lovely and truely friendly!, rather then the Fake I must be approachable but I don’t want to be here talking to you people that I’ve come across over the years, you know what in talking about that fake nice but you can tell somethings off by the short snappy response or directions. Not only are the front staff lovely the Assistant I had was more then welcoming. The lady I met, (believe her name was Vicki) she made me feel relaxed, and wasn’t pushy or abrupt, she was warm and actually took interest in the small chit chats we were having while the photos and xrays were getting done. Then of course my Dentist, (im afraid I have drawn a blank on his name right at this moment) he was caring and kind and made me feel like there wasn’t anything we couldn’t work out together. He Wasn’t afraid to talk to me, or to have a chuckle with me while setting up a dental plan. And explaining it in layman’s terms. Personally I don’t like going to dentists, it’s like pulling teeth…. See what I did there. But in all honesty I actually do see myself going back again to sort out my drama teeth. Solely because, I walked out of that door happy, smiling and in good spirits from the experience I was given from Wallan Dental. Highly recommend these guys.
