DB Dental Spearwood

Positive experience: Most of the dentists here are excellent — they understand that being in the chair isn’t exactly enjoyable, so they speak calmly and respectfully to help make the experience as comfortable as possible. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is due to a couple of individuals: one male doctor of Asian background who tends to speak to patients in a condescending, almost child-like manner, and a dental assistant who seemed to have forgotten basic manners and courtesies. If I’m willing to pay a little extra for treatment, I think it’s fair to expect good manners and basic respect in return — that’s the bare minimum. They need to remember, you cant judge a book by its cover, everyone should be treated the same. I look quite young and have tattoos which mightve made the nurse think it was acceptable to talk to me the way she did. Not that it matters but im a qualified surveyor who earns literally 3 times her wage..Be polite.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Cherrin always the best!very quick and efficient of what she does..you can tell she love her job and very accomodating..thank you for taking care of my teeth..❤️❤️❤️

Fantastic experience: Im a very nervous person the minute I walk into the door at the dentist. My dentist Dr Zhang puts me at ease straight away. He is moving back to Melb early next year and although I am sad, I wish him well. Thanks for looking after me

Fantastic experience: Dr Greg is an exceptional dentist with obvious surgeon talent. Also my favourite Receptionist (who normally works at Cottesloe) was on duty on Saturday. Her customer service skills are outstanding.

Negative experience: I booked an appointment here on Thursday for Monday and I have had FOUR text messages from four different numbers asking me to confirm my appointment over the weekend. This is beyond excessive and if I had a choice in dentist I wouldn't go here. Unfortunately my health insurer only has this as an option so I guess I'm stuck?

Fantastic experience: Hi all I had my first experience just recently at DB Spearwood , from going in the door I was greeted so well , then to 1st appointment of 2 the hygienist was so nice, explaining the procedures and making me feel so relaxed , then to the second appointment I was greeted by Tina taken into the surgery so much explained , im getting a repair to my bottom denture , also got a quote for a new set , am so impressed I decided to book in straight away and have a new set made , Not just lovely individuals , pricing very fair also , Highly Recommend, so happy to of walked in the door

Fantastic experience: Considering that I have not had as much as a dental check up in the past 6 years, I was pretty anxious about breaking one of my rear molers in half. Convinced that I was due to have it removed, I was really put at ease with the staff of DB Dental Spearwood. The broken tooth was filled, rather than pulled and I experienced no problems at all. 2 days later I went back for a much needed exam and clean. A second tooth was in need of a filling, which once again caused no problems for me. I am really happy with my treatment and personal interaction with staff. Thank you for making my appointments trouble free.

Dr Ben Zhang provided exceptional professionalism during my consultation and treatment with his constant reassurance and education explaining explicitly my current situation and my directional needs for my dental health for the future. JiJi the dental nurse worked hard alongside Dr Zhang making my experience pleasurable and comfortable. I was greeted on arrival by the beautiful Reham at reception who checked thoroughly for any changes in circumstances from my last visit as well as ending my visit with effortless billing. Thank you Dr Zhang for discounting and wiping part of my bill making it affordable for me to visit the dentist and attending to my dental health. I would highly recommend this practice.

Negative experience: I took my daughter there and the dentist didn't really take the proper time to talk about all her options for her tooth, The dentist (Dr Ashok Patel) only repeated that he had to pull the tooth out and then didn't even provide any extraction care instructions after the extraction.

Positive experience: Had some complications with my filling and had to return to get it rectified but they were very professional & appreciate that they fixed it for no cost. Cheers guys! :)

Fantastic experience: I visited Speareood to have a bridge fitted. The team delivered a fantastic service that left me feeling very satisfied with the work completed. Special thanks to Vicky, who without a shadow of a doubt ensured all of my needs were catered for, making me feel welcome and relaxed. And also not forgetting Nancy whose dental skills allowed me to smile again with my newly fitted bridge. Can't recommend this team and facility enough.

Positive experience: I was so happy with the work of the dentist and the follow up phone call the next day to check how I was going. I wasn’t happy with the nurse getting angry with me because I couldn’t control my mouth rinse with a numb lower lip. It’s hard enough getting the courage to go to the dentist never mind being scolded like a naughty child for something you can’t control.

Negative experience: Booked an appointment to have my teeth cleaned & also teeth whitened as I'm getting married next week. Rolled up on time as per the confirmation text only to he told my appointment was booked at 10:30am & I missed my appointment. Proceeded to show the receptionist my confirmation text clearly stating a 2:45pm appointment (yes, I was there on the correct day). She then had the audacity to tell me someone called in earlier that day & cancelled my appointment? After telling me I missed my appointment lol... there was clearly a mistake somewhere on there end, whatever people make mistakes. No attempt to rectify the situation, just fed excuses as to why I missed my appointment lol. Do better! Won't be going back :)

Fantastic experience: I had been in excruciating pain for three days, DB Dental Spearwood slotted me in when Southlake couldn't & the tooth that I was sure needed removing on the upper jaw was fine, the Dr advised it was referred pain from the decaying tooth on the lower jaw, and with some difficulty removed the offending tooth & voila ! as soon as the anesthetic wore off, there was no more pain from the upper jaw. Thanks Dr Cherrin, great job & also 'Vicky' in reception for the happy banter afterwards, turned a bad event into a good experience, thank you all.

Kintu the receptionist was so friendly. I would totally recommend this place. Going back to have an extraction of a wisdom tooth.

Fantastic experience: Very helpful staff on reception. The Dentist was very mindfull how I was feelng towards me as she was cleaning my teeth. I must admit my bill for cleaning my teeth was more than I expected. I pay Bupa nearly $32.00 a month, and go to the Dentist every 6 months, so I'm wondering where my money is going with Bupa! I feel for a 'clean of teeth" that should be free with Bupa.!!

They are competitive and the people all do a good job. Very friendly as well and will take the extra mile to book you in urgently

Negative experience: Went in for a routine check up and clean. The male dentist was very indifferent, rough and rushed during the process, but I guess, i mean who’s ever had a nice dentist before, right? Lots of tears, lots of blood, whole mouth was sore for a few days. Fast forward to a week later, my back gums was so swollen that I called back to tell them that something’s not right, and to which the receptionist said it’s quite normal to have some form a swelling after clean, but if it doesn’t subside over the weekend, I should call them back and they will ask the dentist how to go about it. That night I woke up in the middle of the night from the pain and had to take pain killers, couldn’t talk properly the next day so quickly called up the local neighbourhood dentist as I refuse to go back to DB Dental Spearwood, I don’t want to go through the same stressful process. Went into the local dentist to see what’s wrong. After 15 minutes of X-ray, checking, numbing and cleaning out the abscess and pus that has formed around the inflamed gum, we found the culprit. A tiny calculus was lodged into my gums where the dentist has supposedly cleaned, causing the area to swell and got inflamed. Now I’m sore again and $300 poorer because some dentist didn’t want to do his job properly in the first place. Having said that, the reception staff were all very friendly though.

Negative experience: It comes to something when local Chemist remarks on how rude the receptionist was to him at this dental surgery …along with the dentist who had issued an urgent prescription for an antibiotic that was no longer in use!!

Fantastic experience: Had to go in due to severe tooth pain. The amount of compassion and care I experienced from the first point of contact was absolutely amazing! Dr Malone listened to my concerns and pickup straight away on my anxieties about being at the dentists. Both her and her assistant were absolutely wonderful constantly checking to make sure I was doing alright. They took the utmost care with my tooth extraction and maintained such a peaceful atmosphere in the room. The reception ladies were equally amazing even calling me to get me i earlier than expected! Would highly recommend DB Dental Spearwood to anyone especially those who feel nervous like I do! Thank you all so much...(will definitely be back again)

Fantastic experience: Such an amazing team here! I see Dr Nancy who is warm, friendly and very professional. Both ladies on reception are even more amazing and are always so helpful and make the visits easy and simple. Best dental practice in Perth for sure.

Negative experience: Do have good dentists and hygiene. Just make sure to understand your shark attack insurance company insurance policy and how they cover. I'm not sure if all dentists do this but they don't include the dentist costs into a quote on a cap or bridge which is quite frustrating when budgeting and receiving the bill.

Fantastic experience: My first time with Dr Cherrin and I was very impressed. Very well organised, clear with explaining everything and seemed extremely efficient. The most comfortable I have felt with a dentist for a very long time.

Fantastic experience: I would just like to say what a delight Shannon at the front desk is. Whenever I call she is always amazing to deal with and when arriving to the clinic with my children - she always makes it a pleasant experience. Today whilst sitting in the waiting room while my husband receives his treatment, I was listening to how she communicated with other patients, her colleagues and to people on the phone and that is exactly what good client care and customer service is! I have worked in dental previously so I know that people like Shannon are hard to come by and she is a real asset to DB Dental Spearwood. Thank you for being you Shannon!

Negative experience: Came to DP Spearwood for the first time for my regular dentist check up, was shocked by the slim brown hair female receptionist, she was rude with no customer services skills, I was there 10mins earlier, then they had me waiting for another 15-20mins, during the wait, saw this female customer trying to pay her bill but she had communication issue then she was treated with not much respect, and as soon as she left the brown slim receptionist started gossiping about her and said she had no patience for that female customer, she even made fun of her even though I’was right in front of her. After that when it came to my turn the dentist was rushing through the whole treatment only took like 20mins incl dental clean, polish, photos and x-rays taken. Ive been to dentists many times but it’s the first time I feel that much pain during the procedure as I could totally tell that the dentist was quickly “going over” it. Only 1/3 of my tooth were polished but the dentist clearly cleaned all my tooth, so I questioned him and he said the rest look okay. What an experience from start to finish, what can I say.

Fantastic experience: Ailsa is an amazing dentist! Her work is top quality and second to none. She is passionate about helping her clients and is a kind and caring person. Noone likes dentistry work but mine was totally pain free and has had excellent results. Would recommend this practice and especially Ailsa!

Fantastic experience: My children and I went to DB dental Spearwood today and saw Dr Ailsa Malone. She was absolutely amazing with the kids and myself. She is very thorough and genuinely cares about her patients. The ladies on reception and nurses were also lovely and very helpful.

Negative experience: The service and treatment that i received on Thursday was exceptional. My first visit to DB dental Spearwood but I will be back. I can't praise the ladies on reception enough, they went over and beyond to help me and the dentist was outstanding, she was so gentle i did not feel anything. Negative experience: Went there as my gold crown tooth fell off. After they put it back, my tooth felt uncomfortable. Now eating chicken as my dinner on second day the gold crown tooth fell off. Not even 48 hours. Definitely not coming back.

I was greeted with smiling faces at the reception and received kind and caring service throughout my dental treatment. Such a great environment for what can be a very nervous time for some! Fantastic experience: DB Dental Spearwood gave me back my smile without hurting me or my hip pocket. They are preferred providers with my health fund which really kept costs down plus they do Afterpay. All the staff there are helpful, understanding, friendly and try to help you out anyway they can. It’s a really welcoming environment, one I actually look forward to going back too.
