Fantastic experience: Let me say first I hate going to the dentist. From being pulled out of the corner of the dentist’s room kicking and screaming as a kid it’s just been bloody awful every place I’ve been. Until I went to Gentle James last week. First time to Pialba Dentist and gotta say well impressed. James was brilliant. Fixed the problem and has been the best since. Thanks to the team. Will defo be back.

Positive experience: I called the clinic in the morning for my child, who was in severe pain, and they were able to schedule an appointment for the same afternoon. I really appreciate it. However, I did feel that the tone of the person who answered the phone could have been friendlier. I understand that people can have busy days, but a little kindness would go a long way. When we arrived, the receptionist didn’t greet us or smile, which made the atmosphere a bit uncomfortable. The doctor’s consultation went well, and she seemed knowledgeable. However, she took an x-ray of my child’s tooth without explaining the cost. She didn't ask for a proper consent but just decided that x-ray will be taken. There was no necessity for an x-ray when considering her experience and kids age. X-ray was taken to overbill the situation, I felt. She also recommended additional services, like a cleaning for $195, which felt more like a sales pitch than genuine advice for which I informed her that I do not have any kind of dental coverages. At the end of the visit, I requested a copy of the x-ray to be sent to my email, but I was questioned about why I wanted it, with an assumption made about taking it elsewhere. That comment felt unnecessary and made me uncomfortable. When it came time to settle the bill of 180 dollars, the receptionist seemed irritated when I asked for a breakdown of the costs. The total was $180, with $70 for the consultation and $110 for the x-ray, which had not been explained in advance. For someone without dental insurance, this was a significant amount, and I wish I had been informed of the charges beforehand. Overall, my experience was not great. While the doctor was competent, the lack of transparency about costs and the indifferent attitude of some staff members made the visit uncomfortable. For anyone planning to visit, I recommend asking about the service fees upfront and setting expectations for customer service.

Fantastic experience: Lost a tooth one late afternoon, got in the next day. My tooth was replaced within 48hours. Great customer service. All the ladies were very caring. The dentist was fantastic and really looked after me. Would recommend this clinic to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I was never a fan of the dentist but it was beginning to annoy me having no teeth so I found a dentist on facebook and made an appointment. I went through with it. I had no pain getting my teeth out what was left of them and I had temporary teeth two days later. I had them for four months and now I have my final teeth in and I am so happy. I did it, don’t put it off it is worth it.thank you so much Pialba Dental and thank you to all the staff you guys made me feel at ease thank you isn’t enough but thanks again

Fantastic experience: First time today visiting - nearly cancelled as I'm very scared of dentists (past experience elsewhere) - From the time I walked into the room with the Dentist and Assistant I felt at ease , Did not rush me , were so caring/communicated/understood I was a bit anxious so let me just take a minute (molar extracte/abcess) - By the end I felt calm , explained infection i had/felt cared for and im actually happy to go back - can't recommend highly enough - thanks again and see you in 10days

Fantastic experience: Wow ... is all I can say. From the first phone conversation I knew I was in the right place. The receptionist was incredible. Actually, all the staff are amazing. I have all-on-four implants and to get to this stage in my life I have had a lot of dental trauma and was understandably nervous. On my very first treatment my nerves vanished :-) Pialba Dental are different. Their approach is so kind. For the FIRST time ever I felt listened to. Dr Lal is the sweetest, kindest dentist I have ever me. He genuinely listens and takes his time to explain every step :-) The procedure to replace a whole arch is complicated but the team make it feel effortless. It's amazing :-) . I highly recommend their services and in fact, I have recommended them to everyone I know and will continue to do so.

Fantastic experience: I recently had quite a major reconstruction completed…. Multiple crowns and veneers, I am so thrilled with the result. The aesthetics and function is absolutely perfect. Dr Lal and Holly were just brilliant. Every step was explained and so much time was put into making sure I was fine and comfortable with the procedure. I have worked in the Dental industry myself for 35 years, so I knew I was in the best hands.

Ive had some extensive Dental work done by Dr Gurbachan Lal (BDS) & the team over the past 18months & their ability to put you at ease by explaining the procedures in simple terms I found to be comforting. Not something I'm accustom to after numerous years of visiting many Dentist's around Australia due to an injury sustained at work a long time ago. I found they have a healthy understanding of persons with certain diagnosed conditions due to trauma & are very helpful & more importantly they appear to love what they do which to me is rare. Fantastic experience: Dentists are my least favourite place to be at, but Dr Lal and assistant Holly made having my wisdom teeth removal a positive experience. They went at my pace, paused when I needed a breather, they listened, and Holly even offered me her hand when my anxiety was high. All in all, even though my dentist fears are still quite high, the Pialba Dental team has made my fear just that little bit less.
