Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to DB Dental for many years and cannot fault them. The staff behind the desk is so friendly and my dentist, Seanne Brookes is very good and also very lovely. My husband and daughter also have been going to see her. I highly recommend this dentist, especially if you or your child is a bit nervous.

When I called her, she was incredibly polite and helpful, guiding us to book an appointment. Today, we visited DB Dental for treatment, and I can’t express how smooth and reassuring the whole experience was. Fantastic experience: Hi. Today (September 3rd) I visited DB Dental Brighton. I thought the receptionists were very friendly & welcoming, & the dentist, Dr Seanne Brookes, was excellent. I've been going to DB Brighton for years now, & even though other dental surgeries have opened nearby, I would not go anywhere other than DB Brighton.

Negative experience: Was told immediately after an xray that the only options were extraction or root canal. Didn't feel comfortable with the quote, so went to another dentist. Ended up only needing a filling. The other dentist noted that even the xrays DB did, were insufficient to make a correct decision.

Positive experience: Service was excellent. The dentist was caring and careful. The only problem was the cost of a filling and the gap payment was way too large.

Negative experience: I went to DB dental to get a front tooth filling fixed. After wards it was bumpy and patchy so I did go back and they fixed it literally a few days later I brushed my teeth and the filling cracked off !! Will not be returning again !! I was hoping you pay that much for it to be fixed the 1st time and not even on the 2nd visit !!

Negative experience: My partner came in for teeth cleaning. We stated this is all we had wanted for the time being and nothing more. Next minute without even being asked, X-rays were being taken etc. from thinking we’d be paying only $200 we were stumped with a $600 a bill. It is our wedding soon and this has completely interfered with our budget. The reason for only wanting a tooth clean is because we are still in the waiting period for our health fund and knew we’d be back in a few weeks for everything else anyway. I had recently gone to another dentist for myself and before doing absolutely anything they ensured I was okay to do it and agreed! Not only were we stumped with X-ray costs, but also “deep cleaning” costs for certain teeth. We will definitely not be back, as we ended up paying for more than what we even asked for to begin with!! Thanks DB dental, that’s a bill we weren’t prepared for :)

Negative experience: I have been a patient at this dental office for years and always had a positive experience, until my recent visit. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this dentist anymore due to the unprofessional behavior displayed by the new dentist and their unnecessary referral. Not only did the new dentist unnecessarily scare my daughter about the needle, but they also made her believe that the procedure would be painful. My daughter had been fine in the dentist's chair during previous visits, so this unnecessary fear-inducing tactic was entirely uncalled for and inappropriate. Additionally, I feel disappointed that instead of providing the care my daughter needed, the dentist chose to refer us to a different dentist. Based on our previous experiences, there was no reason to believe that my daughter wouldn't have been fine in the dentist chair this time as well. This referral only caused inconvenience and an unnecessary extra step in arranging another appointment. I believe that a dentist should prioritize their patients' well-being and overall experience. Unfortunately, the recent visit with this new dentist shattered the trust and confidence I had developed over the years with this dental practice. As a parent, it is essential for me to find a dentist who is not only skilled but also compassionate and able to effectively communicate with their young patients. Regrettably, this recent experience did not meet those standards. I will be actively seeking dental care elsewhere for both myself and my daughter. I hope that these concerns will be taken seriously, as no patient should have to undergo unnecessary anxiety or be referred elsewhere without valid reasoning.

Fantastic experience: If you want a gentle, professional and no-scary-stuff dentist, look no further! DB Dental at Brighton is the workplace of the absolutley marvelous Dr Meghesh Shelat. As a lapsed dental appointment keeper I returned to a healthcare provided biannual clean and checkup several years ago. I always (mostly) maintained good hygeine practices when it came to tooth care but at 40 and after hearing horror stories from my collegues (as well my weird teeth crumbling and falling out dreams)I booked myself into DB Brighton. 4 years later I'm here to tell you that Dr Meghesh is thebest dentist I have ever been treated by. Being in the chair is as close to space travel as I will ever get. The room and equipment is ultra modern and yet the room feels calming and warm. Most importantly Meghesh communicates everything in a normal and professional manner whatever the procedure. He is extremely gentle and nimble fingered with delicate hands and precise movements. All possible costs for all treatments and procedures are provided upfront with no pressure to undertake anything-ever. All advice is given matter of factly and options are provided as to your specific circumstances. And the costs are extremely reasonable (which always shocks me for some reason )despite that I have no discounts/benefits except basic private cover. I never ever thought I'd be writing a dental review but this man -Dr Maghesh- is just magic and I think you will agree if you make your next dental check up with him.

Fantastic experience: DB Dental, on first appointment completed a clean, took x-rays, examination. Most importantly supplied a printed plan for treatment action. Phase 1 and 2 , with 1 hour visits at each appointment. All cost offset against my medical fund provider BUPA so that I know the gap payment. My previous Dentist was ad hoc, and not forthcoming with costed plan plus long waiting times. DB Dental has given me the full deal and service I so much wanted.

Negative experience: Dr Seanne Brookes is terrible. Her treatment is very rough and uncaring. She is also very arrogant, rude and unprofessional. I will never return again.

Fantastic experience: No one loves going to the dentist, but Dr. Meghesh Shelat and his nurse made the experience more than acceptable. He is efficient and constantly communicates what and why he is doing. He discussed future procedures and the various options available.

Negative experience: The reception women were lovely and attentive, despite filling out a form prior the check up etc it seemed Shaun Brooke who saw me didn’t really have the time to be working that day, she didn’t ask me many questions or even look at what I had ticked on the box’s etc. I am a very polite person but someone with a phobia of dentists struggles going regularly and this made my visit horrible, I wasn’t properly greeted or even a small little how is your morning? Just a little communication as a human would of been nice, I would never go see a different dentist then my other but he is fully booked. I’m saying this once I told her what I believe I had (gum disease) she told me I didn’t and I had something called recession which can’t be prevented, I asked her what I can do and she laughed saying you can’t I’ll be looking at 6k for inserts, I honestly felt defeated that one day my teeth will fall out because it’s something I can’t help. I paid money for a service I didn’t get and am looking to take it further. Even when I told her can I please get the X-rays she said no you can take a photo then and when we were looking I asked her to please tell me once more what was wrong so I don’t forget and tell my mum so I could text and she said ‘you can do that later’ but I didn’t want to ask again what was wrong as I got nervous so now I’m unsure what is my problem? My last doctor would write it on a sticky note and give it to me after complimenting my teeth. Anyway I wouldn’t suggest this pratice but would direct people to go to the one next to coles in the doctors place :) xx

Negative experience: Totally incompetent business. If you're a disability pensioner and you have a government allowance don't go to these people. Especially if you need emergency dental. They took xrays, and sent blank paperwork back to gov. dental without any recommendations hence nothing got done. It took me to follow it up only to end up going to gov. dental to get emergency dental

Fantastic experience: Can’t praise Dr Meghesh and his wonderful assistant Sarah enough, they are simply the best duo to look after your teeth. What can, for some, be a scary experience is soon banished in their more than capable hands. As no one really likes the dentist, including me, the best part of this practice is the amazing team of Dr Meghesh & his lovely nurse Sarah both incredibly competant (they fixed a problem that two previous dentists failed to do), make you feel relaxed and attend to the work quickly and relatively pain-free :) They also listen & explain everything clearly. Fantastic experience: I went to DB DENTAL in Brighton yesterday very very nervous as I avoid the dentist at all cost and don’t go for years on end but I was seen by DR Meghesh shelat and he was excellent made me feel so comfortable and talked through my options and what he could do to help and his assistant was so comforting too together a great team i was told I needed 2 fillings but I felt so at ease I booked straight in for the next day and had them done today so quick and easy I had sleepless nights worrying about it amd was so anxious about going I’ve been very afraid of dentist my whole life and now I wish I just went earlier I will definitely be going back for my 6 month check without all the anxiety and definitely with DR Meghesh if you are afraid of the dentist go see him you’ll be put right at ease

Negative experience: Absolutely useless. Why is it ok for the dentist to keep you waiting, would he be happy if I was late, no he wouldn’t. I’d rather pull my teeth out then go back.

Fantastic experience: After not having attended a dentist for a few years I "bit the bullet" and phoned DB Dental Brighton for an appointment. Dr Meghesh Shelat drew the short straw and soon discovered there was some work to be done. I was very impressed with the way through the procedures Dr Shelat regularly checked on my welfare, giving me the option to halt proceedings if feeling uneasy. Dr Shelat and his lovely nurse have a great working understanding and required minimal communication knowing each others next move to successfully see the procedures through. I wouldn't hesitate recommending DB Dental Brighton as all the staff are very professional and welcoming.
