Fantastic experience: I love the calming environment over here (they have great receptionist and dentists). In particular, one of the hygienists - Erich, is one of, if not the best hygienist I have ever met in my life. He is very soft-spoken. His tooth scaling is literally so smooth and soft, that I can literally just lie on the seat and relax (and maybe doze off?). He is very attention to detail as well, and always think from my (patient's) point of view. Will definitely return to Bouverie!

Positive experience: Had a recent filling done. Overall, the team was quick to have the session completed. Having said that, the dentist was a little rough. To clarify he was not rough in the sense that his actions caused the procedure to be painful. More so, he was rough as there was a lot of tugging involved and it felt quite uncomfortable especially when the lips and mouth are dry as the nurse has to keep the suction on to drain saliva. Nurse on duty assisting seemed distracted too. Bib was not provided and neither was the glass.

I have seen Dr Patrick a few times and Dr Jessica once, they are both amazing. Dr Patrick has treated some complicated cases (crown, bad decay, nerve treatment, gum problems and etc) and saved my pain. I had tooth filling and cleaning with Jessica one time when Patrick was on leave, that was also great. The clinic makes you feel at home (from the receptionist to dental staff) and that really made me mentally not that scared of dental clinic. They also have friendly staff can speak Mandarin Chinese which was also one reason I refer this client to my families.

Fantastic experience: I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to the clinic. Firstly, over the phone they were transparent about pricing for my check up and clean. I was with Dr Charlene, who was so lovely and very enjoyable to chat with! The pricing here is affordable, but not budget friendly. There is also a 10% student discount and such a convenient location between UniMelb (<10 min walk) and Queen Vic Markets. The clinic was so clean and quiet. Needless to say a fantastic first impression!

Shirley explained to me about all treatment options, the pros and cons that allowed me to make an informed decision myself. Apart from that, she also demonstrated to me how to clean my teeth in a daily basis with dental floss. If you don’t know which dentist to choose, I highly recommend Dr Shirley Zhang!

Fantastic experience: After suffering a nasty tooth ache that wasn’t improving and being new to the western suburbs I booked in with Dr Shirley for an exam. Dr Shirley and the hygienist were so welcoming, they listened to my concerns and were very thorough in their diagnosis of my first ever cavity, as well as some type 1 diabetes related gum issues. I felt really nervous about getting a filling but Dr Shirley and the hygienist were so calming and reassuring, making the procedure really easy. She also assisted in making the decision to change from my bonded retainers to removable retainers to address my gum issues. Couldn’t be happier with the service and price. Thankyou for taking such good care of me :)

I had such an unbearable pain (as you all can imagine - wisdom tooth), I tried a few nearby dentists to book an appointment (others wouldnt see me), before I rang Bouverie Dental. Bouverie Dental staff were so pleasant over the phone and happy to see me straightaway. I walked in and the Doctor treated me immediately and gave the best possible care. The pain went away and go the wisdom tooth removed. What a relief that was. As a student you could imagine the financial implication it would've had, however, their pricing was so affordable and was happy to go see them regularly including for dental cleaning. Speaking of which, I need to book another appointment with them. Seriously guys, dont even think, you can be sure they will look after you. I'd highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: The bouverie team takes good care of my oral health. I have been going here for 2 years now, Charlene the hygenist is just amazing she is so soft spoken, caring, and educational it's always great to catch up with her she makes the treatment of getting a clean so comfortable she is so gentle. I also see Dr Mathew for my checkups he has been very professional and is good at explaining what I need to have done makes things easy to understand and all the treatment he did was good qualify.

Negative experience: I was in a lot of pain and couldn’t get an appointment with my regular dentist for several weeks so I booked in an appointment with these guys explicitly to get out of pain. I brought in my own x-rays showing the decay I wanted treated, but due to having a wisdom tooth nearby that was heavily affected by decay they refused to treat any other teeth close by as well as refusing to do anything about the wisdom tooth that was rotting, with the only explanation being that pulling the wisdom tooth may stop the pain, I explained to Dr. Patrick that the molars next to the rotting tooth are on my treatment plan with my regular dentist and require fillings, pleading with him to clean the decay and fill the tooth, which I could sense he was reluctant to do from the minute I walked into the suite, he was adamant that this would not help in any way in terms of pain relief which I didn’t agree with. I then as a final attempt to get some form of pain relief requested he take another x-ray of the affected area, I pointed out the molar giving me the most pain and sure enough the x ray reflected exactly what I presumed, decay on the surface of the tooth (my main concern at this moment) and even then, still refused to work on the tooth. In a nutshell all he wanted to do was talk about the pain and where it might be coming from as opposed to actually working on the tooth, 5.30 pm in the afternoon, I got the feeling he just wanted to have an easy afternoon and go home without actually getting his hands dirty, all on my expense. Left work early, paid over $100 and was sent on my way and told I should try Panadol for the pain. Shocking dentist, I would recommend avoiding the whole practise if these are the kind of doctors they hire. All in all, Terrible experience.

Fantastic experience: Excellent Dental Service My daughter (2yo) has been seeing Dr. Matt Soon for her regular dental examinations for some time now. Dr. Soon is gentle and patient. He works well with children and made sure my daughter was happy and comfortable. We have walked away with a positive experience every time. Dr. Soon communicated well with me about my daughter's oral health and answered all my questions. We never felt rushed during our appointments and were always seen on time. The nurses and administrative staff are all very kind and pleasant. The clinic is clean and modern. COVID safe practices have been implemented for the safety of all patients. Medibank is accepted. I would highly recommend this provider. Thank you to the entire team at Bouverie Dental. You are doing a fantastic job.

My teeth and head have been aching for half a year ，Now l have to do root canal treatment. Can you not harm human beings，go back to Uni...You'll get a letter from a lawyer. What do you mean two years ago, do you need me to show you the invoice? From 07/10/2020, it started to hurt. Less than five months , you've really done bad things and you r good at lying. I hope everyone can see clearly. When I uploaded the invoice, the account number of the clinic owner was changed. No courage to cheat here...

Fantastic experience: I went to Bouverie Dental about a year ago for my wisdom teeth and had such a great experience there! I still remember the prompt and smooth extraction by Dr Choy (I don't think she's there anymore) and the friendly staff greeting me and even checking up on me post-surgery, ensuring that everything was well with me. I recommend this place to my friends in Melbourne (discount for students and perks for referrals, and it's beside Humble Rays!) but now that I've graduated, I'm sadly unable to go back there. Negative experience: M infected my teeth for the second time, and j filled my teeth for the third time. Because the technology was not mature, she helped me abrade a small piece of the surface of the three teeth next to me, resulting in uneven surface.

Dr Matthew Soon took the time to thoroughly answer my questions, and made what is usually a dreaded experience a pleasant one. I needed a few fissure seals and some fillings, and these were completely pain-free and over very quickly. UniMelb staff get a 10% discount, a great surprise given the UniMelb dental school only offers 5%, and Bouverie's dentists are fully qualified, experienced, and much faster. Highly recommend.

Positive experience: I had an horrific experience with one of their “dentist” : Dr Patrick Cheok. He was out of his depth. He had to call another dentist on her day off to come and patch me up after he totally messed me up: After a 2H torture session, ( complete with throat stabbing) he stiched me up with shattered roots still left in the jaw and tried to send me home. (And come back in 3 DAYS) I had to argue whilst in shock for him to find someone to fix his mess. They had to get a real dentist to patch me up on her day off. All this to remove ONE tooth. Total length of the ordeal 3H in clinic and one week in bed with excruciating pain from being operated on by what felt like a 1st year student. Oh and they still charged me!! Not impressed. This clinic is usually very good but they obviously hire rookies. Be aware!!

Fantastic experience: Just went to Bouverie Dental to have my teeth cleaned due to some staining. Made an appointment with Dr. Patrick Cheok through their online booking service. Was feeling nervous, but at the appointment, the dentist was very professional and assuring. He was also very thorough and careful the whole time during the procedure. Surprisingly, there was no pain at all and my teeth are now completely free of stain. Thanks to Jacqui for assisting and to Dr. Cheok for his attentiveness and care.

Always busy though so you need to make appointments well in advance and also get there a bit early as finding parking on a Saturday appointment is very difficult.
