Fantastic experience: Excellent service and great work. I was missing my two front teeth, and the rest were loose. Dr Sarkis was brilliant throughout the whole process. All the staff were very supportive and accommodating. A day in the chair to put in all the implants and temporary plates top and bottom. From the needles, my greatest fear, were no more than a slight prick, to the extraction and drilling were all pain free. The end result looks great. I have my smile back, and a couple of panadol for 5 days was all that was needed. Very pleased with Dr Sarkis and all the staff at Designer Smiles.

Fantastic experience: I met Dr Sarkis and the team at Designer Smiles 7 years ago when I took my daughter to have Icon treatment and her smile was beautifully transformed. When I made the decision to finally have my old veneers removed and replaced there was no other specialist in the running. The first thing they addressed is how frightened I’ve become of dentists and Dr Sarkis and the team made every appointment comfortable. I first had X-rays and photographs then modelling on my teeth of what the final result would be. I then had a consultation with the Tech who was making my veneers to talk about colour, shape and my expectations. The next appointment was for a complete clean of my mouth and gums plus the removal of my old veneers. Dr Sarkis also put on temporary ones until my new ones were finished. The final result is more than I expected. They even have little vertical ridges like real teeth and they feel great. Overall Dr Sarkis and the entire team have been gentle and compassionate through the entire process. They have also given me my smile back. I could not recommend them enough. Felicity

Fantastic experience: I cannot thank Dr Nalbandian and his team enough for the incredible work they performed on my teeth. When I had my first consultation with Sarkis it was clear that there was considerable work to be done, given a previous football injury that left me with a missing front tooth but more to the point, significant bone loss to the upper part of my mouth, making it a real challenge to align my new smile with a fixed implant. Dr Nalbandian walked me through what the journey would look like from where I was, to having that smile which I always wanted. It was quite a long road, given my pathology, however the team informed me every step of the way what was needed and what the plan was for each step and procedure. Negative experience: Opportunist at best, the teeth he glued in came out twice, once after a few days and the second time after three years, did he want a few hundred dollars to do it? Was it free? No he charged 700 dollars, this is very close to extortion, please before you do any work with this guy negotiate the price, I made the mistake because I thought he would stand by his work but no, not this guy, when I questioned the price he threatened with raising it to $1000, next time these teeth come out I'll go to any old dentist and get them glued back in for a max 300 guarantee you, I won't be going back to Sarkis.

After being told for many years only invasive treatment would be an option, Dr Sarkis after one consultation was able to understand what I was after and within that same afternoon was able to fit in a mockup. Fantastic experience: I don’t often leave reviews but I felt compelled to write one for Dr Sarkis and his team who are AMAZING ! 5 stars honestly isn’t enough. When I was in primary school I fell over and badly chipped my two front teeth. Since that time and into my adult life I was so afraid to smile, laugh and basically even talk in front of anyone, my confidence was wrecked. After meticulously researching I found Designer Smiles, that was back in 2010! After initial consult and with a lot of explanation and clarity , I was fitted with 4 porcelain veneers which completely Changed not only my smile but my life ! There was no more badly chipped front teeth , I looked like a different person, I could smile again. Since that time I’ve had them replaced ( in 2018 ) and upgraded to 8 porcelain veneers , there was nothing wrong or no problems with the original 4 I just felt that I would like to slightly widen my smile and had saved enough to do so with almost a decade of work under my belt . I should point out that when I started my Veneers Journey one of my original requests was for my veneers to look like natural teeth , not overly white or overly perfect looking and I have literally never once been asked if I have Veneers , the closest thing to that I’ve been asked is if I had braces when I was a teen ( I’m sure Dr Sarkis does the super white ones too , that’s just not my personal preference) Fast forward to today August 14 2023 and the 8 veneers I got in 2018 are still in perfect shape, I try my best to maintain good dental hygiene although I am a 3 a day coffee drinker . Why am I leaving this review over a decade after my initial visit to designer smiles ? The whole purpose of this review is that I wanted to show people that Dr Sarkis work lasts and lasts in perfect condition. 8 years for my first 4, no issues and coming up to 5 for this set of 8. Some of my most frequent google searches when I started my Veneers journey was “ how long do veneers last “ “ do veneers fall off “ and so I wanted to leave a review to hopefully help someone who is where I was 13 years ago . Veneers are a life changing decision , don’t run off to Thailand for a cheap fix … pay someone who will do them properly and have the confidence that yours will last and your original Teeth will be treated with care.

Fantastic experience: Couldn’t be happier. I was at the point where I was no longer smiling for photos, but after getting composite veneers in 2007 I honestly felt like a million bucks. I have since received many compliments on my smile and people are genuinely surprised when I tell them I had work done. The composites have also lasted much longer than expected; I’ll only be getting a touch up on some of them next year (14 years on). Fantastic experience: I was genetically missing many adult teeth. From circa 2000-2017 I had braces twice, two dental implants and many crowns and bridges to get by. The work was carried out by a number of other dentists, all helping me through my journey; all dentists of which I cannot thank enough. At 32 years of age, I knew that it was time to get a lasting result and found Dr Sakis. I knew that I was a complicated case and therefore I had seen a number of dentists to seek differing opinions, prior to opting for Dr Sakis. The reason why I chose Dr Sakis is that I felt an immediate sense of care and interest in me and the case that he had at hand. He spent the time to get to know me as a person and took specific interest in the result I wanted. Additionally, his staff were equally as interested, all caring and warm, which reassured my in my decision to go ahead with the team. I received a friendship from the team, together with an incredible smile; a smile of which I would never have imagined. In summary, the smile was a result of baby tooth extraction, two dental implants (with bone grafting), temporary bridges, another two dental implants, crowns, and a lot of work in between. Dr Sakis, in summary, is a very eccentric and very talented dentist. In my experience, he has treated has staff and myself as friends/family. He prefers to take time to get things right, and personally, after over 20 years of getting by with what I had, I was willing and patient to get things done correctly. I honestly cannot thank Dr Sakis and his team enough. They’re awesome!

Fantastic experience: The whole team at designer smiles was/is a pleasure to work with and always had a warm energy from the moment you walked through the door. My journey to get to this point started 21years ago long before my wife and I found out about Dr Sarkis. Dr Sarkis is a very eccentric and colourful character. A real master of he’s craft. My mouth was a train wreck for various reasons. I lacked confidence and was dealing with a plethora of problems and I knew it was going to take more than the average dentist to rectify it. My wife stumbled across a YouTube video of Dr Sarkis and told me he is a cosmetic dentist and we thought he looked like man for the job. Caused years of pain with clumsy braces and plates, Sarkis does not care about causing his patients pain and then telling them they aren't in pain (?). As an Autistic person I felt unsafe in this business, A second staff member also would refuse to believe I was in pain, if they maybe studied a little harder they would have the education to know Neuro Diverse patients have different pain tolerance and receptors. trash, would never go back - fake being nice to you so you pay $1000 a session

Fantastic experience: As a product of the pre-fluoride era in Australia I had most of my molars removed over 50 years ago. There were partial dentures at times over the years but in the end it was easier not to smile. Now I can enjoy smiling for the first time in a long, long time. All thanks to Dr Sarkis Nalbandian, a specialist prosthodontist operating from Designer Smiles in Cremorne. Obviously with my dental history I was not too keen on the idea of visiting a dentist but Dr Sarkis and his team made each visit relatively pleasant. There was obviously some discomfort at times but the pain level was very low overall. To fully rejuvenate my smile took quite a few months although there were long gaps (3 months) when my mouth had to adjust to the new changes before the next stage. Dr Sarkis clearly explained the treatment plan (fully costed, but not cheap) before beginning the process. There were lots of scans and X-rays to make sure that each stage of the process was successful before moving to the next stage, especially ensuring that the multiple implants had grown into my jaw correctly. In the end I had several implants, two crowns and a full set of porcelain veneers - it makes it sound simple but the process was absolutely pain staking to ensure the quality of the finished product. I can happily recommend Dr Sarkis as an excellent practitioner who is meticulous about his work and the final product is brilliant. His team is excellent and made each visit positively pleasant. Fantastic experience: I found Designer Smiles from one of their YouTube videos showcasing the Icon treatment to fix white spots on teeth. Dr. Sarkis Nalbandian's consultation provided me with a thorough plan and showed me how their practise could give me predicable results for my concerns. I knew I was in safe hands. I had Kristy Gupta perform both of my procedures and she was very professional and so kind. I am very happy with my results!

Negative experience: Mentioned loss of spinal curvature from MVA, twisted my jaw hard like he was trying to break it, said I couldn't breathe. Still can't straighten my neck days after - tell him plastic splint has been tried and surgery is needed, other professionals have agreed yet covid delays.. surgery is an absolute need - recommends splint anyway, wait months address pain.. Won't stop until the bone is lifted, as a colleague of his nearby recommended, funnily enough. That difficult to listen and write a note to a surgeon to have this repaired? Look at it, just want it better to return to westpac. Bored, sore, two years after seatbelt didn't deploy, wasn't driving, ex-girlfriend's sister. Knowledge of TMD/TMJ? Doubt. Get your teens braces elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Over the last few years, I had become very self-conscious of my smile due to tooth discolouration and also the movement of my teeth, even though I’d had braces as a youngster. I come from family of prominent specialists in dentistry, so my expectations for the highest level of quality and care was paramount. Being associated with the aesthetics industry, I asked a prominent plastic surgeon for a recommendation to see a specialist aesthetic dentist / prosthodontist and he immediately recommended Dr. Sarkis Nalbandian. My plan was to correct my teeth with dental veneers… however after speaking at length with Dr Sarkis, he encouraged me to firstly align my teeth with braces, and then proceed with veneers. His philosophy was to preserve my enamel using the concepts of minimal intervention. Thankfully, the braces were only on for three months and then we proceeded with the veneers. This required no injection as my enamel was preserved, this means that my teeth underneath are still intact and have not been cut down. My initial assessment of Dr Nalbandian was that his and his team’s commitment was above and beyond. The treatment was long, and it took six months, however, the journey was fantastic and the final outcome was well worth it. It was lots of fun; I could call ask questions and all my concerns were alleviated. Dr Nalbandian provided a high quality of care, he listened and cared for my wellbeing, this instilled confidence through the journey of treatment. The results, speak for themselves and my new confidence and smile is incredible. I am absolutely delighted with the results and am back to smiling at all and sundry. Fantastic experience: Dr Sarkis was absolutely amazing. By far the best dentist I’ve been to in my life, and I’ve been to a lot! I had a tooth extraction & implant done. It was completely painless and quick. He was very diligent and took multiple X-rays throughout the process to ensure everything is done properly. Fantastic experience: Story no.1 as I have many, so I will try one story each time: Dr Sarkis is bigger than someone just write few sentences about him here, I think I need a book to tell all these stories that I went through with him when me and my wife were visiting his clinic for more than type of services for our teeth, and each time we discover he is not just a doctor to done his job perfectly but more importantly he builds a relationship with his customers that make you open about any thing that you would like to ask to have full picture about what is going on in your treatment, not like other dentist they keep you blind then tell you everything is ok. I will talk about my wife last visit to him this week, she had two back teeth both low quality job done for root canals and crowns last two years which causing her pain with bad breathing, this job done by someone not a specialist as you cannot tell about such thing in dental as every one offer such services that maybe over his ability but only to take your money as the consequences will be on the surface after two years were you cannot claim money back. anyway, he started cutting the old crowns to build new one, but he was taking good photos to the removal procedure for these bad crowns at each stage till he get them out. He was paying full attention on each minute that he spent during the two hours of this job. he explained in simple prefect way why this job is bad and showed us the impacted area of this and how he will repair it by a good plain to minimise the damage, actually there will be no damage after all at all. He was working on it as someone is enjoying his time while playing his hobbies, thinking to get good job done perfectly and he tries to use his experience to fix it which is rare practise from a specialist that must enjoy collecting money, he just can simply do as other do by hand over such job to anyone around him but he needs ensure such hard job get done by him as he does not want to take any chances such other specialist do. His mind and his job honesty pushing him to do so at each stage of the work. It's simply a perfectionism of a specialist in his area is been transformed to these two crowns in front of your eyes. Ok, getting to my point now, When I asked him, why you are taking photos? I did not expect his answer as it was from level of thinking that is not exist in capitalism world, he said that he will show these photos of bad crowns for his students and people who are practicing under his command and give them whole class of not to do such bad job and how you can a void it from first step. So, the man wants to write dawn a manual guide for how to make prefect crown? sacrifice his valuable time just to transfer his knowledge that he get as specialist on smile design over two decades to the new dentist, so to ensure the quality of the work even after he left this job later, now do you know any doctor like him? doctors only busy in making money after they get good name and spend time on growing their bank accounts rather search about developing the skills and the perfectionism for the services that they offer at each stage of their life like this guy is doing. Dr Sarkis utilise his time by offering high quality services and find solutions for any problem that you have or even that you face in future by preventing it now but not ignore it, This doctor is care about his costumer and advise them with best ideas that cost him time but he like to do so as he likes them to be happy with job This doctor is care about teaching new people who want to inter this high skilled job by offering step by step how to do it manual guide? although he is a specialist and no time to do so, but he like to develop other people skills as well, he need to medal of honor for that level of thinking

I have always dreamed of the perfect smile after breaking my front teeth as a child and having temporary work done, which brought me huge amounts of anxiety and a lack of confidence. I spent years (literally) researching the best specialist dentist in Sydney for veneers and was blown away by Dr Sarkis’ before and afters and testimonials. Fantastic experience: Why you need to see the specialist prosthodontist Dr Sarkis Nalbandian for your smile.... I didnt realise how many things were wrong with my teeth until I visited Dr.Sarkis .My bite had so many problems,my teeth were worn down from grinding,my face had lines on them from my face and teeth turning inwards,my lips had lost their fullness also because of this.My top teeth had come down so much that I had a habit of rubbing my lips together alot(which I now dont do anymore at all).This made me look anxious ,at the time I did not know this was what is was from.When Sarkis said I needed braces,I reluctantly agreed,I dreaded the thought of wearing them for 2 or 3 years like alot of people do.I only had mine on for 7 months! Sarkis used certain techniques through my journey that sped up the process.If my braces were ever uncomfortable,or a wire had moved ,which is very common with braces,he would fit me into his appointment schedule straight away everytime.He guided me from the very beginning on the best and fastest way to achieve a great new smile.His letters to explain my procedure were 4 or 5 pages long,an exceptional amount of detail and thought went into designing my new smile..my new jawline.What I noticed half way through was my aging lines around my mouth dissapeared..I looked 10 years younger all of a sudden..my face filled out.My friends and family noticed how much younger I looked too.When my braces came off,I was amazed at how I had two rows of straight normal looking teeth..my horrible old teeth has dissapeard,we hadto add veneers on the top row to fill in the gaps from where a couple of my teeth had separated.The veneer fitting process was very involved and Dr Sarkis carefully made sure I would get the end result I wanted.When I saw my smile after the veneers were on,I was over the moon..they were so pretty and I felt for the first time that wow..I will never haveto cover my smile again!! Fantastic experience: I hold Dr. Sarkis Nalbandian (specialist prosthodontist) and his team to the highest esteem. I had no idea that the prosthodontist is the real specialist doe smiles. I had terribly worn down teeth and issues with my wisdom teeth which I thought could not be fixed & something I would wear out for life. After just a couple of consults followed up with a mock up, I made the best decision to go ahead with a non-invasive composite build up which improved my overall smile and functionality. The team are very professional yet give a personal experience which is quite refreshing given that dentist visits can be hard for some. If you are looking at improving your overall appearance, give this clinic a try. You will not be disappointed!

Negative experience: Dr Sarkis did a very poor job on my daughtes teeth. She needed composite veneers. One had a gap. The other had a chip. Her dentist wrote to the orthodontist in charge of my daughter. Dr Sarkis said to the orthodontist he would be happy to fix. When I called twice regarding a booking for the veneers to be fixed. No call back. Had to pay $1,200 again for another doctor to fix.

Fantastic experience: Thanks to Dr Nalbadian, Vivek and the happy team. Dr Sarkis is confident and an experienced dentist that adapts and adjusts to what needs to be done with the same end goal in mind - your great smile. Sometimes this takes one day to do, sometimes you may have to return to ensure perfection on another day. It becomes worth it in the end. I waited a year before I gave this review because implants take that much time to grow into the bone and be tested. Must say, a year to the date the implant first went it after front tooth extraction and it's all working fine. Very Happy!

Fantastic experience: Was at designer smiles today i had a very frustrating problem where i couldn't clinch my teeth for bout 2 months to where i couldn't chew chewing gum. I was told that it would cost bout 20-40k to do jaw surgery to fix problem. Well at designer smiles fixed it in bout 15minutes and cost nothing. Staff very helpful and walked out clinching my teeth and can chew back to normal couldn't believe it :)

Fantastic experience: There are several prosthodontists who think they understand bite, but few have the deep understanding or experience that Dr Sarkis has. He also has a rare mix of supreme technical experience (he doesn't have to drill away your natural teeth to attach veneers) and a sense of artistic appreciation to sculpt the appropriate teeth design for a person's face. I've been attending this practice for many years, and witnessed the transformation of many. Unfortunately because of a complex medical condition, I'm not a prime example of the standard of his work.

The Doctor educated me on veneers and made me feel comfortable every step of the way in my decision to move forward. I was fitted with a mock up which gave me a real life feel for how my new teeth would look before proceeding. I absolutely loved my new smile, I was beaming, so I knew it was the right thing to do. Dr Sarkis is an artist and a perfectionist. The preparation was minimal and involved no injections so there was no pain incurred at all. The whole procedure from start to finish was seemless.
