Fantastic experience: I cannot speak highly enough about my experience at Burwood East Dental Care. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the friendly satff. Dr Ying taking the time to explain everything clearly and addressing all my concerns. The quality of care I received was exceptional. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a dental clinic.

Negative experience: Nice practice and decent service, but I came here because of the reviews and so did my partner. The work we had done was really poor, I had quite a large filling done that was actually joined to another tooth and ended up cracking, resulting in me having to do the entire procedure again at another dentist from another practice who had to scrap the whole thing and do it properly. I then had another filling done here (from a different dentist this time) that was left extremely bulky and uncomfortable. My partner has a similar experience with a bulky filling that caused a lot of pain and discomfort for months. I dont like leaving negative reviews, but sorry, this is not a 5 star practice.

Negative experience: I went to the dentist for scaling and discovered a slight crack in my right molar. Although it seemed fine at first, the dentist advised me to come back for a filling if it started to feel uncomfortable. Deciding to be proactive, I returned for the filling. However, a different dentist recommended a crown instead. When I asked about the difference, they mentioned that the longevity was about 10 years for a crown and 7 years for a filling, implying they were similar. Considering the cost difference, I opted for the filling, planning to get a crown later if needed. After the filling, my tooth was sensitive and I couldn't chew on that side. Despite several visits to the dentist and being told to wait, the pain persisted. The dentist suggested that I might be grinding my teeth at night, which I denied. My gold tooth, which has been there for 19 years, has minor scratches, which seems normal to me. However, instead of addressing the initial treatment issue, they insinuated that it was my fault. While the staff was friendly, the unprofessional treatment and handling of the situation have been disappointing. I will not recommend this practice to anyone I know. They have now referred me to a specialist, recommending a crown. If I had known this from the beginning, I would have opted for the crown right away. After over a month of tooth pain, I am extremely dissatisfied with their service.

Fantastic experience: Dr Karyn and the team here are all incredibly professional and caring. For someone who has an irrational fear of dentists, Dr Karyn was super gentle and accomodating, walking me through every step of the process and showing me all of the tools, as well as providing amazing instructions for at-home care. She would be an incredible dentist for young children and people who require their healthcare practitioners to be little more gentle and understanding. The receptionist / assisting staff members were also super friendly and welcoming to me as a new patient.

Took my 2 children here recently for check ups after reading good reviews - thorough and gentle treatment and both kids asking that this now be the regular dentist for our family as they felt so comfortable. On Sunday afternoon my husband broke his crown before having to leave for a work trip for the week. I phoned at Sunday lunchtime and given an emergency appointment for that afternoon. Even though further ongoing treatment is needed, he was given prompt emergency dental care by Dr Zhang that enabled him to go away with peace of mind. Wonderful service and the provision of weekend appointments is of huge benefit - the practice has gained another regular patient!

Fantastic experience: Hands down the best dentist. My partner was previously going to a dentist who was causing him so much pain and was unable to fix the root cause of his issues . After many visits to the other dentist my partner was then referred to a specialist who was going to charging him and arm and a leg to resolve. Since coming to see Michael my partners tooth pain has all but gone and cost us less then half of what was quoted elsewhere! This place is very professional,friendly and gentle with their clients. I was treated extremely gentle, paitent, thoughtful and professional, I didn't feel any pain or bleeding like my previous experience with other dental clinics.
